So much fun to watch. I am really good at letting stuff go; I tend to try to sell it first at our yearly scrapbook garage sale. If it doesn't sell, or I don't think it's something an adult would use, I put it in bin to donate to a local school. The younger grades definitely use it.

I really enjoyed this video! You kept me company while I worked on my Snapfish order and then did a little scrapbooking! :) I think LilyBelle really enjoyed having the food container on the floor...when she looked up at the camera she really looked like she had a smile on her face!

Thanks so much Kathy! So happy that I could keep you company! It's funny, but that's how I feel when I'm creating these videos, that I have someone to talk to and hang out with while I'm organizing. I love when LilyBelle smiles and I wish she would do it more often on camera because it does look like she is grinning ear to ear and laughing. It's funny but when I'm recording her, a lot of time, she looks like someone who is extremely shy and doesn't want to be in front of the camera. So, it's a lot of fun to see her real personality shine in the video. Hugs, Karen 🤗

    Hi Karen,
Sorting out my patterned paper while I watched your video. You certainly had some lovely scraps and I really enjoyed watching.
I agree that organising is an ongoing process but definitely some people are more organised than others. You have great organising ideas. I am slowly reorganising but am moving forward which is encouraging. I love looking through my papers too.........and everyone else’s!
    Lucky Bella and Lilybelle.

Hi Rebecca ... yay! Happy to keep you company while you sorted your paper. That's always fun to do some organizing and organizing paper is my favorite. I love looking through other people's papers too!!! I've been working on my paper and getting it organized and I seem to have accumulated a ton of new paper in the past year that I need to do something with. lol ... I think I did more shopping in 2020 then I did anything else. Hope you make some progress on your organization projects too! Hugs, Karen

@@YesPleasePapercrafts I really didn’t do any online shopping until COVID-19 hit and made a number of orders. I’m delighted with my purchases but trying to “reel myself in” this year!
As always, lovely to hear from you.

Hi Tammy ... Thanks so much 🤗 I'm going to be filling up some Iris containers and donating as well. I think it's awesome to share that with a school ... I've given to women's groups, but I might check out my local schools too. Hope you have an awesome day! Karen

lol ... Did you notice that it's my first category! It's actually some of my favorite paper to use because I'm always using that paper to piece together layouts and it helps me save my pretty paper.

What a great video. I watched it while I organized my paper as well. I love your reference guides! They are so pretty and functional. I don't have that much paper yet. So I just do it by memory, but one day.... :-)

Thank you so much! I wish I had started creating my reference guides when I had a lot less stuff. I would love to have one for my stamps and dies but I have so many and I haven't had time to do that yet. One day!!!

Hi Karen, my process is very similar. I keep my bigger scraps like this in a temporary way like you. When the collection gets big I’ll sort it into color categories with one separate category that I like to call “Page Starters”. After that sort I take all the color stacks and lay them out on a large table. Then I take each page starter scrap & walk around the table & pick up color coordinated scraps to create a base page kits. I separate the base page kits with typing paper like our pal Miss Janet. After I go through all the page starter scraps I look through each color stack to see if I can make some monochromatic combos for base pages, Then I look for kits based on complimentary or favorite color combinations. When I’ve exhausted my combos, I’m usually left with my not-so-favorite scraps that either recycle or keep for my next base page kit assembly day. Then the next time I have a creative block, I just take my base page kits & pick background papers from my whole sheets. Now I have base page kits that I can take to crops for assembly which makes for streamline packing for a crop! I just placed an order for your record sleeves that intend to use for collection storage so I’m excited to get them! Yes, I think my organization is always evolving too! Whatever works to keep us scrapping, right?? I find as I’m organizing I get motivated to use things too!

Hi Renee ... I love the idea of taking the "Page Starters" and then building them into page kits for base pages. I was just thinking that I was going to take the scraps that I was picking and use them for page kits to complete an entire layout. I'm going to start creating "Base Page" kits also. That's awesome that you ordered the record sleeves ... I hope you like using them. I really love them so much better than using plastic ziplock bags ... it's so much easier to get the paper in and out of the sleeve. Yes, I agree ... I get motivated to use things when I organize. I also know where things are and it's easier to find things when you spend time going through your paper or paper scrap. Hope you have an awesome day! Karen 🤗

@@YesPleasePapercrafts I received my sleeves last night & a little happy mail too so I put them right to work holding a couple collection packs I bought! The weight is great! So sturdy and without the top like the ziplocks to clutter up my cubes (I wish I had the horizontal space for the flip bins!). Thank you again for sharing!!

I use HL or any cheap page protectors to keep my scraps in for my paper pads! They work great & I also cut off the hole part on the edge! All my scraps except for those are stored in a three drawer Sterilite cube that is 12 by 12 drawers! My 6 x 6 paper pads have the scraps stored with them in baggies all together!
