“I’m from California” ok goodbye
🙋♂️
I like you channel even better now that Josh left. Lol
Those six-pac campers were made by the factory that makes FWC pop up campers (I have a 91 Grandby). Very well made.
Enjoy it!
“My toilets built in” love the humor and truck campers😂
Dude I didn't know he had that, and that little quip was like the funniest part of the video.
Your preamble was effectively one of my favorite saying to avoid responsibility "In my defense, I was left unsupervised."
So, what you’re saying, Casey, is I should send my wife on vacation to Hawaii…
If you want to buy a truck camper. 😄
Hahahahaha
@@tinydancer7426 Well said

For us 6.5 bed owners that camper is a rare find. Good job Casey !
I'm jealous 👽
I just bought a full length 8 footer to use in my 6.5' bed. Needs a hitch extender but I don't pull heavy when the campers on so it doesn't bother me. Plus it was way cheaper and easier to find.
That campershell is in remarkable condition for its age! Great job on the purchase!!
It really is for 35 yrs young, it hasn’t been abused & im sure the price was right .
He should do some upgrading because he has the skills to set it up better for his use and what modernity requires. The condition this thing is in will also make the solar additions and battery requirements possible and still looking good. 👽
I've never seen an extendable upper bed in a truck bed camper. Never. And to have it in that condition, you got the find of the decade!!
Long ago my husband & I, before we had kids, went to Yellowstone for a week with an overhead truck camper. Go for the walks, see the sites, pull over in a parking lot, fix lunch/dinner/snack in the camper, take naps, (!!), watch our 6" b&w tv (no vcrs in those days), find an empty spot in a campground for the night... everything unplanned and at a whim. Best trip I ever had. Just seeing the camper and its wonderful condition is a total pleasure!
Casey you deserve it. You work hard and your wife knows you needed it. Congrats buddy. I love it just like it is.
He's got most of the toys, I mean tools he needs so future purchases could be interesting.
Can't wait to see what he does to it 👽
Casey, I have been watching for a long time and never knew you had a medical condition. You are champ dude, keep it going.
Yep he is one of a kind. You would never have guessed. That makes him an even extra organized and forward-planning person. I how you beat the colon thing and get rid of the patch for good.
You may want to replace the incandescent lights with LEDs to save power, but that's a beautiful camper!
Incandescent light bulbs have their own charm.
@@nsbhagwat If you buy the low color temp LED's, you can't tell the difference behind the opaque lens cover. The LED's will use a ton less wattage, rarely ever need to be replaced and your battery will last longer on a charge.
There better be some upgrades. There are more efficient options for what is in there and he has the skills to do it right. Plus you need to charge everything these days so you need to shed weight to gain muscle 👽
So - you're saying that if Carina isn't home, you are left without adult supervision? 🙂Very nice looking camper - should give you a lot more options when you want to go out in the woods for a day or two and enjoy nature.
Casey without supervision ?! 😱
Hahahaha......a time-machined Home Alone with no baddie except for the enticing FB Marketplace
Back in the late 1970s had the 10 ft version of that camper on a F250. A lot of memories. Wow! Almost 50 years ago. Thieves tried to steal setup on a couple of occasions just before hunting season. The old ford starters were not that great and truck was hard to start so didn't happen. I loved that setup. In summer my job allowed me time for 4 day weekend camping every other week with my daughters. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Been watching you for a year now and now I am even a bigger fan knowing you have an Illiostomy. I too live with one and used to do repo's and heavy recovery. Retired now but love your videos keep them coming.
Awesome find!😊 You looked so happy eating your lunch! Great video! Keep up the great work and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
Wow, that really brings back memories. When my dad and uncles were alive, in the 80s, they all had similar setups for their hunting/camping trips. Sometimes I'd lay up in the bed with the window shades open and just watch the road and scenery go by. We'd all be backed up close to each other in a sorta circle and there was food, a bonfire and just really really good times. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a little watery eyed seeing inside that and the flood of memories. Thank you so much for sharing. 🐾🐾
I wanted one of these when I was 13 and it was brand new 👽
Casey I love that camper man! Great job. Wife will love it. No worries.
BTW I’ve always said that trains and other obstacles are the universes way of making us slow down and enjoy the view. And you got to see the mini donkeys… nuff said. 🌺
Casey, couple of suggestions to consider. I have updated older campers, trailers, and pop-ups. First, change all the bulbs to LED to conserve power. Add a thermostatically controlled roof vent with rain cover. That could reduce your A/C demands. Finally, I would suggest swapping out that older 3 way fridge. There are You tubers who swear that those things are a fire hazard, especially if you use propane while in transit. I switched to a newer 12v compressor model, and am quite satisfied. I am just sharing my experiences, and encourage you to ignore me if any of my advice is contrary to what you want.
That camper is unbelievable! It’s like t was bought, placed in a temperature controlled garage, and left there for 34 years! Congratulations on your purchase, Casey!
Awesome Camper!!! .. And an awesome wife who understands that this isnt just a toy... its an investment into your business and your family. I hope it brings comfort and profit to both for many years!
Thanks, Doc.
I mean.....they go camping too 😅👽
Happy for you, Casey. Both for finding the perfect camper and for having the perfect wife (and daughter).
Born and raised in Sunnyvale graduated homestead high, 86' been in Eugene past 22 years so welcome to Oregon...
just what you need , can tell by the smile on your face , I pushed the button on facebook marketplace and got three old vans , they are going to give me something to do now I'm retired , same feeling .
Travelled in a rig just like this for 4 months when I was first married , had a blast . Great find, Bro'.
Man those make awesome overnight rigs or toy hauler campers on the front of trailers . Lite weight and easy to load . You did awesome finding that one !
I like to watch recovery videos, camping videos and train videos. This was a perfect video.
It seems we have similar addictions 🤣 that's a sweet camper! I too am blessed with an awesome wife who typically keeps me from buying every cool thing, but also encourages many, they are rare and wonderful! You have mentioned several times wanting one, glad it worked out man!
I too have a perfect wife, she appreciates that everything I buy is in the interest of safety… 🤣❤️🇷🇴
Very nice rig! Glad you pulled the trigger and got it! I know you'll get many years of enjoyment out of it.
I’m so glad you kept changing the camera angle for us. I didn’t know what I was going to do if I had to look at you from the same side that whole time lol. Love your vids. Y’all rock
Cool and awesome buy! Enjoy!
Awww... wifey got so disappointed when it wasn't a miniature donkey you were picking up 😁 (since I yelled "Miniature Donkeys!") That camper is just awesome! Looks like it is in great condition as well. Congratulations with that buy!
Congratulations on buying your new camper. Like you said, it’s just nice to sit down in a warm comfy space to eat, sleep, etc.🤙😎
AWESOME looking camper Casey. Stay safe and keep the videos coming buddy
Great find
Added note, I was born in Klamath Falls and raised in the logging camps around Mt. Shasta back in the 40s. Still have family in Bend. Your videos bring me great memories. Really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing
Casey, So happy for you. Looks like a gem and I'm thrilled you were able to pick it up.
That's an awesome find. Looking forward to seeing more videos on the camper and how well the eco-flo heater and a/c works. Love hearing you're from California and can drive in the snow! So many people don't understand California is EXTREMELY diverse and the driving there is not just dry perfect roads.
Glad to hear Carina is happy with your purchase.
People don't know how to drive in the snow in the Midwest 😅👽
California plates on a rental...
And most Californians don't know how to surf.... what's your point 👽👽👽
One of your best vids ever!! That’s a great camper!! Glad you found it!!
Really nice camper, would be hard to find a better one. I also blessed with a wife like yours. I count my blessings every day! Great video, thanks!!
It was nice for the former owners to store your time capsule for you. Now you can enjoy it for miles and miles of use.
Truck camper gang!!! Im 29 been roaming the west for 10 years skibumming, hiking, climbing and these campers are the best platforms to adventure in! Glad you got one also! Enjoy it. I'd recommend frame mounted tie down points for offroading and tactical driving. I've lived out of one for multiple years!
Congrats on the camper! I've had every RV known to man, and until I got my conv. van, my camper was my favorite. Shortly after moving to Chico, CA in the late 80's from North ID, I looked at the sky and told my wife it looks like snow. She told her coworkers who laughed and said it never snows in Chico. We woke up to 6 inches. By the way, RUclips "killer donkeys".
Carl Brown , I remember that storm well, I got the company truck stuck a block off of park ave between 15th and 16th streets . 😉!
Congratulations on the trailer.
I have been impressed w your videos. now I am truly humbled all that you do given your medical challenges. Thank you
Great find , will definitely help on your work , recoveries, and adventures with the family.
I like how you’re going to keep the camper original. I don’t know why people go in and tear apart perfectly good campers I think your ideas with heating and cooling and solar power are excellent. Great video and I like that you share that you use a colostomy bag. You’re a good man.
Way to go Casey !That LED rechargeable water pump is the best thing I have ever Bought for camping !!
Congratulations for you new comfort ride. Stay safe and healthy.😊😊😊
Congratulations on the new camper Casey! THANK you for confirming clickbait thumbnails are dumb. Another reason to support and love your channel. Such a well maintained and nicely kept camper. What a perfect find!
Glad you found your perfect camper. It's so nice to travel long distance with a place to sleep, eat and relax right behind the cab of your truck.
Camper looks great, your explanation of why you travel 500 miles to buy it and the uses you'll have with it, worked on all us. You complimenting your wife at the end was you wondering if she'll understand like we did. Good luck with that.
Miniature donkeys can be very nice. It depends how they are raised and handled. Just found your channel and I am loving watching the rescues.
This is exactly the kind of thing I'd do. Then spend loads of time explaining why to the wife once she's home. 😂
All Casey has to do is show her the video ... but of course she will probably watch it as they make me laugh!!
I spent 10000$ on assault rifles this month so I know how it goes too lol

GREAT FIND, Casey!!! Your delight with your new ‘toy’ is infectious! Glad for you…you’ve been talking about getting something for long trips for a while now…now you have it. ENJOY!! Thanks for sharing your life with us…we appreciate and enjoy all your posts. Wish we (my wife and I) were still driving big truck in and through Oregon. Brought back memories when you stopped at the truck stop in Madras. We’ve pulled loads out of the plant there. Take care and again, THANKS! BTW, hey, from the woods of Maine!!
Happy for you. Any thing that improves your physical or mental health is a good move you only live once enjoy
Very nice. Good for you. You will continue to like it. I've had one for over 3 years now and still love it.
Congratulations on a great purchase!! It’ll make life easier for you and you may even get a return on investment with sleeping in there versus a motel/hotel and cooking a meal instead of fast food.
Sweet camper, and having the Mrs onboard with the purchase makes it that much better for sure.
Nice unit. They always have a soft spot or water marks you did well. Just got a livin lite 6.8 for my duramax. Basically the newer version of yours but fully alum no wood. Enjoy it 🤘🏻
So glad you are so happy with your purchase. Nice to see your enthusiasm.
So much better than getting two old sandwiches, Chocolate pretzels, M & Ms and Reese's Cups at Thriftway to eat in the seat of the truck. GOOD BUY!
A lot of great family memories can be made in a rig like that. Thats awesome. Congrats!
That was an amazing find! 👍 I'm glad to hear you'll leave it original. So many times folks make things "better" and in my opinion it's awful. Excited to see the adventures you'll find. Stay safe and GOD bless
I think Casey knows what he is doing. Some upgrades are going to have to happen and they will be awesome 👽
Welcome to the truck camping life. I did the exact same thing. Flat tow my Jeep YJ behind my 1990 Lance on the back of my OBS Power Stroke, ready for adventure. The envy of a lot of people and no payments to weight me down
ballsy being that close to that train with all the derails these days lol
I was thinking the same thing. 😂
I was waiting to see if it said Norfolk Southern on the side of the train.
And being that close, he has no way to escape or left himself any kind of room to get out of there and Why with the Train going normal speed, Why is the Stop line still up next to the Tracks and not at least 100' back ?? Cause the speed of the train has changed since the 1800's and the length of them has increased.. and I have been asked to move Up closer to the lines of the crossing and told the people that I value my life and will not move until the arm's are raised and do not want to be in the line of the derail, cause there's nothing to Stop 🛑 it until it hits Something and I don't want it to be ME ....... AND I HAVE BEEN Looked at Funny and had people yelling at me for me to move Up closer but I will not.,..
" She was happy for you." You are lucky to have each other and to have your little angel 😇 to share your lives with. Congrats!
Awesome camper Casey! I dig it. Also, that was an awesome save there at the end bud!! Smart man.
What a fun surprise it will be to show your family that awesome camper that you bought on Marketplace. It's very well designed (and bear proof).
Congrats! That's in pretty amazing condition for it's age. I'm 6'4" too and I spent 2 weeks in one very similar to that, about 5 days into the trip I drove to town and bought a rolling stool, a tent and a sleeping bag. The stool was for sitting while I cooked and the tent was to sleep in outside. They are incredibly cramped for a big man. One night? Sure. Two nights? Ok. Three or more? I'm looking for a hotel room.
I'm built exactly like Casey, and I could do a week no problem if there are decent bathing options . He is going to do some modifications and he'll do them right.
I thought I heard him say this was intended for those situations requiring a night or two on road primarily.
I've always liked truck campers. We had one when I was a kid and we camped a lot.
My brother and I would ride in the top bunk and look out the front while cruising to our destination.
Great memories.
I hope to see you put it on the big truck for your long runs so you can cook something and not have to waste money on two sandwiches that you take 3 bites of
Your narration of videos is both interesting and humorous. I like hearing about your wife and your relationship.
Less than a month ago I hit two (2) mule deer at once with my wife's Ford Explorer. OUCH! Now I am in the market to replace that vehicle, so I appreciate your story of where you got this camper. Ordinarily I wouldn't even go there, but your experience suggests to me I should lighten up and give some things a chance. (With wisdom.)
Thanks.
We all understand your struggle with the permission of the missus. We all do. Really.
Wow, I envy you! Perfect in every detail! I spent 30 years touring the UK and your set up is magnificent for you with you work life, just what you need. Enjoy your comfort, your not getting any younger, also with a disability that you don't let getting into your life style. Be blessed and highly flavoured.💕👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧
Once you test the Wave2 I'm very tempted to pick one up. I have a Sprinter van with a 750W+ solar array and 7.2kWh LiFe battery array. Last year I traveled in it without HVAC (due to much less solar at the time) but it might be worth picking something up for less pleasant days, especially if it can run on 12V.
I just got the River Pro 2 yesterday to start testing, the fridge freezer is next, and then it will be the Wave 2. I’m realizing excited about all of them after getting to check them out a bit in Vegas
@Casey LaDelle I would also be interested in wave pro2 thing. Hope you do a video.
That is a real gem of a find, it had to have been garaged and rarely used. My dad was a carpenter, he bought plans for and built a truck camper for his 1962 F100 LWB. I used to ride on the bed over the cab on camping trips.
Don't forget that you can remove your tailgate to give yourself some more room for the sneaker lift. Love all the videos you do
So you seriously think he would forget or not know that tailgates are REMOVABLE ? SMH
Congratulations finding such a gem. May it bring you joy for many years and adventures to come.
I have to admit that this video made me laugh a few times out loud! "It's a 1988 model, just like my wife." Too funny! Also, it is great to hear that she was actually excited to hear of your find!
An awesome camper! Of course with my short legs, I would need a step ladder to get into it. LOL
You need to build a mount for it on the rollback, then you'll be set for overnight missions with that truck.
I was thinking the same thing.
He mentioned something to that plan on his last long trip. Cooking is a great addition.
Congrats Casey.... Nice camper. You will love it!!!!
I had UC for 30 years and also had a bag on for a perforated large intestine. In 2017 I had the reversal surgery and they hooked me back up with 14" of intestine left. Now I am pretty normal and no signs of UC. Is that possible for you at this stage or not? It is not often people talk about these things and I appreciate you doing so.
'
Nope, mine was so bad that they had to take all of it and there’s no possibility of going back
@@CaseyLaDelle Right on, man. The bag is much better than the pain for sure. Wish I had mine taken sooner. Thanks for the reply.
@@ScottBryant-wi7gb same. I dealt with it for 12 years before they finally decided to do the surgery. Afterwards my life was so much better that I was pissed at them for waiting so long
@@CaseyLaDelle Heck yea. They have come a long way in treatment for UC. I love the camper, by the way. It will come in so handy when you really need it.
it’s not the people in cali that’s hated it’s the people who run the state that make it so hated. if you have a semi truck older than 2010 you can’t drive in the state, they will turn you around… stupid stuff like that. i’m from FL and i have tons of train videos from out there in the mid 2000’s but my truck went under the age of a truck and can’t go no more but i liked it out there… didn’t look much different from where i live in north FL ✌🏻
It's ALWAYS easier to beg forgiveness than to ask for "permission"....... at least for all the poor married folks...
Casey, I can hear you purring a mile away! Dude, my wife has looked the other way tons of times when she knew I was buying something that would make me purr. That's real love and understanding.
I love it ! And you're right, I wouldn't change a thing. My husband and I have a 1983 5th wheel Holiday Rambler camper that we keep parked at a campground/marina year round. It's also all original, and in great shape. It's perfect, just like yours is. Enjoy it. BTW, we watch your videos all the time. You're a great guy for doing all the nice things that you do for people. Safe travels.
Sounds like a really good tax deduction to me and I hope it works out for you this is the reason why I am looking at upgrading from my Jeep to some form of larger RV type rig
DAMN!! A TRUCK CAMPER!! Hell yes, you need that. A real beauty that one. Your wife and family are going to be so happy. You done good dude.
Very nice. Enjoy. Oh, it is big enough to take your wife an daughter along🤗🙏
Did you just tell the ENTIRE Internet how old your wife is? It's the couch for you, buddy boy! My wife and I love the diverse topics you cover on your channel! Thanks so much!
Casy has a nice cozy camper for those "doghouse now" times...
This is awesome! When I retired, I put a Six-Pack camper on my 02 Tundra with the 6.5 ft bed and spent a couple of months wandering around the country. It was super convenient for just me. The interior of your camper looks almost exactly like mine. My wife and I decided we needed more room so we sold it and bought a 21 ft trailer. Even with the extra room and features, it was a lot more work to use so after a few years we sold that. I miss the camper but not the trailer. Now I have a contractor's canopy on my 2011 Tundra that works as a bare bones camper with solar panels, inverter, etc. It only weighs 700 lbs. Lots of adventures to come!
Glad you were able to find 1 in such great shape that fits perfectly in your truck. Can't wait to see you put it on the rollback..
Nice it fits your needs perfectly and that the most important detail,
A little cleaning ,check all the switch's , controls and nooks for anything left by old owner and find those places to store your items like you set up your wreckers
Nice find! I would recommend changing out the bulbs with LEDs. Brighter and draws less power. That is the only thing I would do to it.
I am so glad you was able to find what looks like a very nice used camper .
We learned a lot about you today. Sorry you have had to go down a rough road with your health. You are a good dude.
Great buy Casey. I had a Pastime camper that was the same size. In hot weather, I would buy a block of ice and set it in the sink. Then set my battery-operated fan on the counter by the sink. This is definitely a work-related buy.
Thanks for my Casey and railfan in one video. What a great camper find.
Love the camper. I have a 1988 Jayco bumper pull that is in really good shape, and 99% original. Not as nice as yours, but we'll above average. Anytime somebody comes inside I always say welcome to 1988. I graduated high school in 1987. So I guess it reminds me of my teenage years.
Congratulations Casey. Your happiness is contagious. That is a sweet camper.
