    Looks very well made. Makes the price tag a little easier to take. Fits the style of the bike perfectly in my opinion too. And who else besides Del would check the height with a caliper ? This is exactly why I have such mad respect for the work you do. Many thanks and blessings to you and Penny. ❤👍👍

    Tasteful little addition! Seldom do screens make an improvement on non-sportbikes, but there are exceptions to the rule. This blends in nicely, almost disappearing in the lines from some angles, yet looking "right" when viewing it from others. Hopefully it works as good as it looks! And ya, quality of it's construction does come across, simply seeing it.

      You're dead right, thankfully it looks right, fits in with the lines of the bike (how vain is that lol) and great quality.. almost like it was a genuine Harley part.. Take care buddy, and thank you for your support as awlays.. D&Px

    Every bike I own always have windshields, I simply can’t ride long distances without them. Yes, they are expensive but worthy. I use slipstream sporty shields. They are nice. You made pretty simple installation. Wish I had the fork hardware like it. Sure look sporty on your bike.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  8 месяцев назад +1

      I agree, the hardware is amazing, way better than i expected, and easily as good as factory kit... I guess with the weather we get here, ill never really be able to ride in a shirt and shades..save maybe one week a year..lol... So why not get a good quality screen !

    Many thanks for posting this vid Del, My lovely wife bought me exactly the same screen for my Speed Twin for Christmas. I have`nt put it on yet, but i think the mountings are different. Anyway, not having a spacious warm workshop, i`l have to fit it while the bike is out on the drive. It looks pretty straight forward though.

  • @wobblysauce

    Snug with some movement, you can raise it when you do the long section of the ride and then lower it when low-speed/parked up.

    @burtongibson9695 8 месяцев назад +1

    Totally off topic here, what's with the little "grabby" action as you're picking up the different pieces of hardware? The hand comes into frame slower and then there is a definite action you do when picking up the bolts etc. Not sure if it's a you thing or a conscious choice for the video. Just something I noticed on this video that I hadn't noticed before.

    I had some hd fat chisel bars fitted in my street Bob I was surprised at how narrow they were in comparison to with the standard bars which turn you into a sail at anything over 65 because they are so wide . I would say this fairing is a good option and certainly looks to give a good amount of wind protection , certainly cheaper than a bar swap and looks cool

    The whole kit looked top quality Del & I dont think it's that expensive. I paid more for my FreedomShields screen plus shipping from the States & although Im really happy with it and again great quality, I would have preferred to buy British. Looks good. I'm, like you, and don't really like the look of a windshield on my bike, so I went with the Memphis Shades Del Rey. With their quick release hardware, I can take it off or put it on in seconds and it stays off unless I'm planning on laying down some miles.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  8 месяцев назад +1

      Good choice for a best of both worlds. As the Street Bob is so stripped back, i wanted the least obtrusive possible.. The Del Rey is almost like a slightly larger version of this one, so if this isn't effective, i guess that's a great second option.. Thanks for the headsup.!

When going cross country Canada, I see the odd rider with no wind protection other than clothes and I wonder how they feel on a long ride. Hey up. A unrelated question do you have any vids on removing dents from a tank ? I can't see owt. I've tried a couple of bad ideas with no results. Big magnet, trying to use a bit of bent steel rod in the tank and the worst one of all inserting a inner tube and inflating it. This did not go well the tube popped at 30psi and sprayed the residue petrol out the tank into my eyes. I won't be trying that again lol. Cheers keep up the vids I use them regularly when working on my bikes.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi mate, there are no magic wands for tank dent removal, if you can't get a suitable lever in through the neck behind the dent to massage it out, and of course as long as it's not too big, you're best just filling it and re-painting it... you could try your local paintless dent removal company, other than that it's traditional body work techniques... best of luck with it!

      I think you're right, ive fitted small screens to countless bikes over the years, from the GSX 1400 to even my 350LC as a lad.. and they're always effective in some way. Love the quote, and such a profound way to put it. (and so true).. take care and keep well mate.. D&Pxx

    My Hornet has a fly screen, without it at 120 mph my eyeballs shake. With the flyscreen i can do 150 mph and it's all good. In theory that is because i never go above the speed limit. So help me God :)
    Your new screen suits nicely ..Cheers

    Nice looking little screen. If that doesn't work out you could always try a trusty Rickman fairing!!!!! A mate had one on his 250 superdream back in the day. Awful 😂😂

      Thank you. I love a stripped back looking bike.. so any screen for me is a compromise, and this was the best i could find to blend in and still do the job..!
