At around 21:00 where a move or plan was wanted, it may have come about by pushing the F2 pawn. It was totally left out of the game. Time may have been an issue because black was positioning on the A file. An alternative to working with the F2 pawn could be the D3 rook, moving it to E3 for entry into black's zone with defence from the D5 knight. To take up that route, the D1 rook would need movement to A1 first, to defend/discourage the A-file attack. The A-file attack seems to be the only cause of an urgency. So, all of this I have suggested would be to keep the queens on the board but potentially simplifying the game by permitting the rooks to clash otherwise letting the rooks begin to eat. With the rooks gone, the pawns shaping things would be more accessible for eating. With thanks.

MVL is definitely the only consistent Magnesian Terminator. It seems to me that he often stands a 70% chance of beating Magnus while just 50/50 against other players.
He don't even stand 20 % chance against magnus,just wait magnus to demolish mvl again
@@nikhildawani2913he don't have 70% for sure but he don't have 20% either, he's the only one consistently challenging magnus in rapid and blitz. Based on the latest result (this year) yes he has maybe 60-70% of win in matches but otherwise he is around 50% whereas other have 20-30%
1:38 What I've noticed is that evaluation margins like 0.00 ~ 0.60 ± 0.1 are completely negligible in SOME positions, specially during openings and some endgames, as there are multiple variations. For example, in a bishop vs rook endgame, the engine will point to something close to +0.3 to the color that has the rook, but that is a draw in the tablebases (again, depending on the specific position). Another example is game 6 of the World Chess Championship with Ian against Magnus, where Ian (black) had a queen against 2 pawns, a rook and a knight. The Engine would say +0.6 but in the tablebases it is a draw. Even in Alekhine's Defense the evaluation bar would complain a little bit sometimes with up to +0.8 but with solid play, the game quickly equalizes (or you can just be Fischer and play Alekhine's Defense in the World Championship and win :p). If you play h3 there, the game can go either way without clear advantage to each side.
It’s not negligible, just not decisive. White has better winning chances but isn’t completely winning
Hmm is Alekhine like the "dubious" opening according to the engine but is extremely difficult to refute?
Edit: the rule of thumb for endgames in my personal experience is that its a draw unless the engine gives and evaluation +-1 or more.

alekhine is worse for black and with white being decent there's no chance of equalizing ever
@@bc_7644 Alekhine's defense is a legit opening. However it's rarely seen in the top level nowadays and the engine doesn't like it :P
@philonouz Yeah. The Alekhine's defense also looks like a complete pain to prep for lol; the resulting positions are probably the most unique out of any opening (i.e. excluding specific lines of specific openings). Thankfully I sidestep all that by just playing 1. Nf3 lol. E4 positions get way too theoretical with the kings gambit and alekhine stuff floating around.
