    7:45 yet another video where Hikaru calls Magnus the Greatest chess player of all time for the 100th time. Anytime you're arguing with someone who honestly tries to tell you that Garry or Bobby are better, just ask them if they think they know chess better than Hikaru, and if they keep arguing after that then you know it's very likely they're just a Magnus hater.

    • @joosthartog1333
      @joosthartog1333 14 дней назад +2

      It is considered disrespectful if u make a player of a certain caliber play an endgame to show hes mastered the skill to do so. Theres no way carlsen wouldnt find the mate in 1 in that position, so its considered bad behaviour not to resign. It all depends on player ratings though. Ive had ppl online tell me to resign only to still lose the game. On club games however we play classical. those games u ussually just play to end game and if you are down a piece u resign, cause theres very little reason for a player to make mistakes in endgame if they have so much time on their clock. This is generalised offcourse, certain positions might still be playable if u have a passed pawn or other advantage. Its hard to explain unless you play yourself, but in games u can feel whether to resign or not depending on your opponent and position.

      @joosthartog1333 14 дней назад +1

      @@pi6141 its not about hans though. Its a general thing. The hikaru/hans thing is honestly kinda sad. Both of them have shown poor sportmanship over the years. Theres no winner in taking either side. If you do this at a chess club most ppl will frown at you, and thats a well known thing.

      @@joosthartog1333I'm not a Hans fan but it shows a bit of humility allowing the mate to be played out, no excuses. Credit where it's due at least.

    • @joosthartog1333
      @joosthartog1333 13 дней назад +2

      @@jackiemoon1556 fully disagree. Like you could say play it out for the audience, but that last move was not needed at all, not even for the audience. The fact that u are calling this humility baffles me. If anything its the exact opposite. Most high lvl chess players would call this disrespectfull like hikaru did in this video.

    I don't think it's disrespectful to play out the game to the end. Robert James Fischer was disappointed that he wasn't able to play his brilliancies out to the end over the board because his opponents resigned. It's the losing player who is embarrased by being checkmated. I think that Hans is maturing in character after some dubious behaviour in his younger years. Give the guy a break. But for the grace of God, there go I.
