I have couple of pairs of horween cordovan and Meermins S American cordovan - it feels and reacts a bit like crust leather. I can "move" the dye around the leather, horween colour feels locked in. I like both. They are different but I think that Horweens superiority is smaller in percentage than David feels. His experience is wider than mine though. I would say it is 10-15% different. Mostly I really enjoy the depth of the colour and the pleasure that touching the leather gives me as a tactile experience

Sure that’s a very generic statement that applies. But it doesn’t vary in foundational characteristics of shell.
@@Shellvedge To say that Horween feels like leather and Shinki Hikaku feels like plastic isn't always true.

Best leathers in the world . Horween cxl, veg tan or a mix of both . And Japanese shenki veg tan. Doesn’t get any better than these.
Can I maintain a natural Cordovan wallet with a 'normal' wax or is this unwise and is the SAPHIR MÉDAILLE D'OR Cordovan cream really much better?
