Charleston South Carolina actually used to be the Capital of the Southern United States in the late 1600s into the early 1700s. Both states are great and they both have the name "Carolina" in them. Also if you have family in the Carolinas more than likely throughout history you have had ancestors from both states. Btw in 2023 South Carolina was the most moved to state. South Carolina is getting more popular and so is North Carolina.
