      Yeah, also the metric system is way more precise. I mean one inch is about 2.5cm. So if somebody gives you his size in imperial you won’t know where in between those 2.5cm he is while in metric you can give the exact size down to mm and μm if you want to

      ​@@global.things In Greece it really depends on the place. On islands usually they ask you to pay for water because the drinkable tap water is very limited. On most other places they bring you free water without even asking.

      It's only an insurance system in some European countries and it's not an insurance system, as you have it in the US. And everything is covered, except for minor fees and you don't have any premium that goes up, just because you are more ill than others.

Southern Slavs, western Slavs, Germans, Scandinavians are all tall people. I am 190cm and perfectly normal height for my ex Yugoslav country and my city. Ok, slightly above the male average that's around 185 cm here.

      In germany the legal drinking age is 16, our train stations and bus station are dirty, yes trains and Busses can be cramped, but not that often if you dont go at times when EVERYBODY else is going to school or work. Yes, you dont see big pick-up trucks, because we dont need them, they are just impracticle on the roads

    As a Portuguese, when i usually go to restaurants my family leaves some coins on the table, but tiping in Europe, at least in Portugal, isn't mandatory. You tip if you want, it is a mather of rating the service rather than and obligation just to make more money

    4:37 That cap was a result of a regulation of the European Union, because they find out that one of the most plastic pollutant thing is those caps thrown away apart from the bottles. The bottles usually are recycled. In Germany for example you get some money back if you bring plastic bottle for recycle.
    So as not every country in Europe is part of European Union, I would be interested to know if the cap is also a thing let's say in UK or Norway.
    I usually like that EU can make even global corporations to obey their rules, like forcing Apple to switch to USB C chargers from their lightnings, but the bottle cap is somehow annoying IMO.

      I think the cap is a great Idea, but soooo horrible implemented.

      People don’t push the cap all the way down and don’t drink with it to the side that’s why a lot of complain about it, in the uk I think they have them, Norway idk.
      The reason is because first some people would trow the cap on the ground the other was the recycling machines sometimes couldn’t sort them

    In Europe you can go out and walk where you want (except private property but town in Europe are built in a way you won't get in a private property). Even when you live in the city. In USA many complain they're trapped in their homes.

    People in Europa are in most countries much taller than Americans. Greece is indeed one of the exceptions. Mostly Northem European and West Balkan countries are tall.

      Well, there are 35 countries in America, and each has different water quality. Argentina and Guatemala -just to name two countries of America, have very different infrastructure.

    most europeans speak british english instead of american english as we learn british english in schools, atleast in most countries I think, I for example can use both british and american english lol
    also when it comes to height we don't say the part after the dot, so we don't say "I am 181.64 cm tall" but instead say "I am 181 cm tall"

      😂😂😂 I would formulate that a bit different. I am a 1m92 Italian. In Northern Italy men are much taller than in the Southern part. Latvian girls are the tallest on earth. Dutch men are the tallest men followed by Belgian men.

    you said that Americans tend to be a little bit richer than europeans and yes average income is higher compared to here in Germany for example but you have to take into account that cost of living is lower here. Overall standard of living is higher here in Germany (but probably not in Italy though). You also have to take into account that there tend to be more very rich AND very poor people in the US. There is a bigger middle class in Western European countries

      Median wealth per adult citizen IS MUCH higher in Italy than in Germany. ACTUALLY median wealth per adult citizen is MUCH higher in Italy than in the USA! 😊
      Italy = 105 000 dollars per adult citizen
      USA = 80000 dollars per adult citizen
      Germany = 60 000 dollars per adult citizen.

    A lot of these things are an EU thing for example the cap on the bottle thing. It doesn't exist outside the EU. Also, you definitely cannot drink tap water in places like Spain or Portugal, but Albania was fine. So the data isn't true, it is not the same in every place in the countries

      In Spain EVERYBODY drinks tap water except on some places in mediterranean coast and the islands. In coast zones water is 100% safe but people prefer bottle water because it tastes better.

      Usually Spanish Mediterranian villages have "hard" water. It tastes funny but it's completly safe. People visiting those places don't like the taste and we don't bother to offer it. But if you want to drink tap water in a restaurant or bar they have to give you tap water. I asure you it's totally safe.
      I tend to not drink tap water when travelling because my stomach isn't adapted to the water of the place I visit and I want to see places, not the hotel's bathroom.

      I’m Portuguese you can definitely drink tap water, depending on the region it can have more calcário so it’s isn’t the best taste but is safe, we have a lot of spring water that taste good.
      At restaurants or cafés you can ask for a cup of water if you don’t buy anything they will think you are cheap but they need to give you
      I don’t know who told you that you can’t drink our water.

    In Ireland students learn irish and at least another language in school (usually french, german or spanish) . The sucess of it is debatable but hey its there, so its just the uk on this one

      That’s not true, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland have all clean tap water. In Belgium you could even drink toilet water, never tried it but it’s just as clean as tap water

    Here in italy tipping is not compulsory but it's polite to do it. In the south of Italy, where I live, people use to do it more; sometimes when I tip in Milan or in other cities in the North waiters don't understand why I'm giving them more money.

    4:51 Trust me the cap attached is really annoying especially as it scratches your lip. I'm 14 and if my parents order a beer for me at a restaurant the waiters really do not care🤣 Another thing is that people dress nicely mostly in Italy, in northern Europe they don't care at all and wear their super long white socks. Very accurate video though!
