I loved what she said, " when you honor her you 're honoring my dad whose taught me everything about acting." She is so loving in the way she expressed herself to everyone and includes her dad in this fashion. Love her for that. May she be given other opportunities to take roles of substance because she's got the making of a great artist! Don't give up Mira!

    1. Kate Winslet - emotionally-driven and calibrated performance (She won the Screen Actors' Guild and BAFTA Awards for this film.)
    2. Joan Allen - a slow-burn acting showcase
    3. Mira Sorvino - appealing role, committed performance

agree. I first watched Mira in the Replacement Killers. Then when i watched Mighty i almost didnt even recognize her. To keep up that voice and make her dialogue, which is seriously close to offensive at times seem innocent and funny is something not many leading ladies could pull off nevermind a supporting actor. She definitely made that part her own. Compared to Kate Winslet who has the on screen appeal of a plank of wood. I'd rather have stinging nettles rubbed into my eyes than watch her lame emotionless acting......

I think it's a fair question. Chalamet and Gerwig gave their money to a victim's group after voicing their disdain for Allen. Michael Caine trashed him, Sorvino trashed him, too. If the post Allen experience was as repulsive as many have said, including her, why didn't she return the Oscar she won by acting in one of his movies?

    WOODY ALLEN, HARVEY WEINSTEIN.
we need to sit on this, we need to stew in this, at least for a second.
a LOT of the things we love - a LOT - are at least in part brought about by people who do horrible, hideous things.
allegedly. all allegedly, of course, at least in the case of Mr. Allen, whose movies I still respect so much ... it's just damn, man. what the fuck are we doing to each other?
this woman, this bright, gorgeous, luminous woman, would be had, tempted, acted upon, betrayed, lied to, #Cancelled [in the '90s and '00s HARVEY WEINSTEIN could #Cancel anyone he pleased].
look what we did for you, Miss Sorvino. I'm sorry. I had no part in it but loving the movies that Weinstein c*nt helped produce, but still. damn. we did you wrong, and I'm sorry for my part.
anyway. enjoy the day, everyone. it's the only one we got.
