Even 3 years later, here you are defending the title "The Best." This was super helpful, easy to follow and my monitor looks worlds better now. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for making this. I was trying to fix this for 3 months but I kept making it worse. This helped so much now I actually like my monitor. Thank you.
Just got this monitor and came right here. It already looked amazing (I've been looking at a low quality laptop screen for years), but this has really dialed it in.
As others have asked... at 4:02 you say "and then check OFF use Windows display calibration".. I think he means to check mark (turn on - like he shows it's on) this option even though he says check off. It would be great if he clarified this though from others asking the same question. I'm guessing he just didn't word this very well in his video.
Thank you! I used your settings but found that there's like too much Blue in the whites so I tried bumping up Red from 77 to 81- sooo much better. Thank you for this! 😊
Thanks man, Was fighting with Display Widget Lite that's on the download page for drivers and support for the VG249Q1A for a few days before I found your video and it's looking much better now. Appreciated.

Dude! Thank you so much for this video. I have a tuff gaming monitor, on an ips matrix, but a slightly different model. And out of the box, its colors are really shitty and I couldn't tweak them. I watched your video and made the same settings, and now I'm shocked by the beauty of the picture. Many thanks to you.
thanks, I found the color too warm, and I could not figure out how to change it. I didn't know HDR is what was stopping it. I'm happier with my monitor now.
My Asus Tuf gaming monitor was a bit more on the green side when using his settings, so here are my updated settings: R 85, G 82, B 100. Hope this helps someone.
@MathewTheBest how can I control the Gamma setting on the on-display menu? I don't have a Gamma option, only: Brightness, Contrast, Color Temperature and Saturation. Confused here. I see you also don't have a gamma option on your video at 5:19
Can't thank you enough: It's great that you used Apex as a reference as I came to this tutorial STRAIGHT from Apex frying my eyes out with the Red hue of DOOM. I got the same monitor for Black Friday, must say I'm loving it thus far and man does it crack in Apex speed-wise. Much appreciated!
Thanks a lot for the info, but can I ask how to switch it to default setting? Cos i accidently set the ICC profile to default and I wish to turn it back to the original default setting just so I could notice the difference just to be sure. Thz again
Thank you so much! I was so sad after having bought my TUF Gaming VG27WQ1B and the colours looking off. After calibrating, I must say it looks AMAZING! I was just wondering, what level did you set the vividpixel for in both the colour accurate and gaming mode? No matter what, you earned my sub tho :)
Just bought my first ever monitor a ASUS ROG Strix XG27WQ, thanks for this vid, I never knew what to do to set this up for P.C gaming and now my display looks amazing. Subbed!

Try reducing the brightness or having background light on when you play on it. Anytime you play any games in the dark it can cause a heavy strain on your eyes.
Hey I need help I have this same monitor but when I attempt to add the ICC profile called "rtings-icc-profile", click add but it doesn't show any profile uploaded. I copied RTINGS post calibration setup and my monitor doesn't look great. Luminance Setting says 14 which for me looks super dark.
