- How to remove the gears from a OPC photoconductor printer drum and reinstall them on another OPC drum.
Various toner cartridges Samsung, Canon, HP, Epson, Lexmark, Brother, use the same drum. Only the gears change.
So it’s possible, changing gears, to use a drum in a different cartridge. It’s usefull if you can’t find a particular drum, or the cost of a drum is too high.
Often, if the lenght and the diameter of the OPC drum alluminium tube is the same, the drum could be used in various cartridge, You only have to change the gears.

It's necessary to change the chip, after a certain number of copies it will block the printer
I just tore down one of these bad boys. Kinda crazy how much tech is inside of these. Can we reuse any of these cartridge components? Any dangers to be aware of as far as the outer or inner coatings are concerned?

Yes. You can't know if that bottle has the same type of toner you bought and at the end of the cycle inside the cartridge there is low quality toner
can i use 88a drum removing gear and install 12a gear
If the meusures are the same, yes it will work

It's waste toner, do not refill the waste toner container. Remove all the toner contained on it

It could be fault of the recovery blade, mylar sealing blade of the tober roller, worn felts

How do we determine that the right position of doctor blades of each cartridge ?
Is there any test page we can print to identify that a particular color toner cartridge's doctor need to be adjusted up or down?
Look at the toner on the roller surface, it must be uniform, not too tick and not too light

@@hathakker802 No, but if your problem is to have too much yellow set the blade near the roller to low the toner quantity on the roller

I have brother printer with dr1000 drum sadly which is not available,so as per this video can i buy any other drum say drum for 12 a and use it with brother drum gears.Will there be any size difference
It will not work, they are different types of drum. You can only use a Brother drum

Hi, I have an hp colorlaserjet pro mfpm182n printer and I have recently refilled its all 4 cartridges. The problem is with black cartridge that the toner lining of about 1 inch develops on drum, not on paper. Though that's not a problem but I am just asking is it harmful

@@viandant5 but initially when I bought this new printer nothing such happened. After refilling, the side on which long pin goes into the drum develops 1.5inch lining onto opc drum, while other side has a 1mm thick lining. I can easily remove it from tissue paper but it again develops on opc drum after some prints. I want to ask you why is this happening, though the lining does come on a4 paper, and I have cleaned waste toner section of cartridge. Can you please tell why does this happen?and can we solve it
It could be a clump or a defect on the developer (toner) roller, but it's out of the size of the paper so you haven't it on the page

the coating of a magnetic roller could be nickel or something simillar. the coating of the drum are layers of photoconductive material as selenium, germanium or silicon
