I used her method to use lemon and my hair went super dry and lost shine. I am a bit upset yes, but if you go to 6:45 you see how patchy her work is. After this comment l will never return here. She is gorgeous but she is really bad and not at all talented and l think she is deliberately mean too. Proof in her video.

Elle, I wrote you in another video asking for advice. Seeing this video , I can show you how my hair was looking when I bleached my dark brown hair. It was pulling hot pink and blond. Before the brown I had used splat, a semi permanent wash out red color. Sadly the color never faded. Maybe because the first time I used two boxes then did another box month later. I didn't wanna lose the color so I never let it fade out ....I did a baking soda dandruff shampoo peroxide mixture I saw on utube to remove it and that really fried my hair. I thought it wasn't that bad but when I went to the salon and asked them to help me go blond , the stylist refused to do that and suggested I go like a med to dark brown ..dark enough to cover the red but not too dark to be able to lighten later. I've grown impatient and tried to do my hair on my own. I was going for a baylage or ombre. When I bleached some pieces they pulled pink. I have since made a vitamin c and shampoo mask and I think it removed some pink but it's still there. What can I do to stop pulling pink because now I want to add a few high lights ?

I live in Fort lauderdale and I have paid as much as $300 to get my hair cut and colored and it came out nothing what I asked for and a total mess! I would think for that much money I would have a great style and hairdressser. I have lived here for 14 years and still searching. When I lived in Lousiville, Ky. I no problem at all. here in moo-hampshire - a lot of "hairstylists" have NO clue.. I was at an appointment for a balayage which left me all fire engine red - my hair litterally looked like fire, I asked the stylist about a toner (as i wanted a nice pearl shimmer color)- she looked at me in confusion.. "what is toner?"

Wow, that was fantastic Elle but, it's 2020 and we are in lockdown so I'm doing my own in home. That's a lot of Shades shades, lol. I did the Flash Lift, Shades EQ 9P, it's way to ashy but it did get rid of the red in the back low under the crown. But, now I've blended the highlights almost away and zero shine... What should I do keep in mind I'm home.. Thanks great videos Elle

Hey girl hey!! I know this video is really old but I love all of your videos. You’ve saved me so many times from hair disasters. So yesterday I did this. But before I did it I highlighted with bleach on my hair with a bleach no ammonia(hair wasn’t that dark) and volume 30 devoloper with ion perfect perfector(Olaplex dupe). It came out yellow in some spots and orangish in others. I went back in and painted a few pieces with bleach again that I felt I missed. Then I toned it with Wella t14 which is a ash and left it on for 20 mins. Some came out looking good some came out purple/grey.. the pieces that were really blonde turned purple grey. So I then made a homemade clarifying shampoo and wash the purple/grey with it and then chelated those parts too. Most of it is gone.. it still has a grayish full look to it in some spots and now my blonde isn’t buttery like I want! I went ahead and did this technique in the video with a 6g which pulled a lot of brass but is a pretty color.. just a little too brassy and I feel some pieces might even look a little blue now!? Because they were freshly bleached
Help!! What products should I use, I have used clairol frost and tip cap for years. I have very long hair, I am a normal dishwater blonde. I would love to just add fill in highlights with foil on my top, but don't know what products to use.
Beautiful, beautiful work! But. Only one tiny but... The wet double processing in the bowl is extremely terrifying. Is this a Redken thing or an Elle thing? Either way, I am scared and delighted at the same time!
Redken Shades is done on wet hair and the bleach she put on wet was just to bump it a bit more because it wasn't as bright as she was aiming for. She also applied Shades on the dry hair between the foils. She knows how to bend the "rules" of the chemicals to get the desired results. Not terrifying if you deeply know your craft. Enjoy!

Hi Silvia- I have a question regarding hair repair. So I bleached my hair at home (total mistake I know) and I have dyed it back to a dark color. I really wish I could turn back the clock, I have used some deep conditioners daily but I know it is a difficult task to get back to that silky soft hair I once had! And it really was so soft and silky! It's not Horribly bad now, considering I did at home and a few times. But do you have tips and advice for this problem? I know people rave about olaplex 3 and I want to try it out but it is pricy. I want to rid the frizz, dryness and regain the heavy healthy feeling of silky hair!!😭😭thanks!!
