Official Opening Ceremony of the Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant

The Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant (KMEDP) is Singapore’s fourth desalination plant and also Singapore’s first large-scale, dual-mode plant capable of producing about 30 million gallons of fresh drinking water per day.
It was officially opened on 4 February 2021 in a ceremony officiated by Guest of Honour, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms Grace Fu.
Through KMEDP, we are proud to contribute to strengthening the resilience of Singapore’s water supply. The development and operation of KMEDP is also in line with Keppel’s Vision 2030, which positions the Group as a provider of solutions for sustainable urbanisation - building cleaner, greener and more sustainable environments.
