The footage with Gulliver was rotoscoped,i.e. traced from live action footage. The Fleischers pioneered this type of animation during their early years with Koko the Clown cartoons.
@MrFlyingscotsman1 it's not better it's different. Why the hell are you comparing them? this is accurate to the novel, Jack Black's got similar story but its completely different.
Gulliver's travels has been adapted many times over the years. All versions were very well-done, but not many used the actual stories from the novel. Many versions(like this one)took the basic idea of the first part of the novel and then went their own way.
