This PoE extender kit can extend PoE up to 300 meters at a speed of 100Mbps. It's compatible with IEEE802.3af/at/bt standards and delivers up to 60 watts of power when used with a PoE++ injector. www.fastcabling.com/product/300-meters-direct-burial-poe-ethernet-extension-kit/ Or you can use a long-range PoE+ switch which can extend PoE signals up to 500 meters. www.fastcabling.com/product-category/long-range-poe-switches/
Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. I followed the 2nd set up, using 2 extenders (one at either end). I checked all the cable connections and they were good. 16 port Non-POE switch into extender into 4 port POE+ switch Into cat8 (about 700 ft) Into 4 port POE+ switch Into extender Into 8 port non-POE switch (did not work at all) ? 16 port Non-POE switch into 4 port POE+ switch Into cat8 (about 700 ft) Into 4 port POE+ switch Into 8 port non-POE switch We get variable/weak signal, sometimes works, sometimes not. ? Then tried again with cat6 (should cat8 work?) Again, no signal with the extenders inline, Variable/weak signal when extenders removed ?
Are you trying daisy chain multiple devices? It is not a good idea. I don't think cat8 cable will help. The speed probably has 100mbps. So there is no much difference even you take the cat5e cable as long as the cable is not the CCA low cost type. You might send a diagram to our support@fastcabling.com. They might offer some assists to diagnose the issue.
Hi Mam I have a problem it didn't work with me at all i brought 100m + 30m cat 6 I make them together by lan extender i don't know if it the same thing in the video or not but it didn't work
Hi, here are a few things I want you to check: 1) ensure that all connectors are securely plugged in and that the LAN extender is properly connected to both segments of the cable. 2) check if the LAN extender is properly powered if it requires an external power source. 3) ensure the LAN extender you are using is compatible with Cat 6 cables.
Great video, simple enough for general public. Very well done

Only video that explains clearly. Thanks a lot! This helped me with my new setup.
Glad to know it helps. But shall you need further assistance, you're free to contact us via support@fastcabling.com.
When I connect the patch cable from POE extender input to POE injector, the POE light does not light up like in the video (4:28). Any ideas?
Hi, can you please contact us at support@fastcabling.com for a problem diagnosis?
How about the 300 meters having hotspot access point in btwn on poles with no other power supply

Do I need a specific type of cable for this? I already bought a 300 meters Cat5e cable. Should I return that and get another type?
No worries, they can work with both Cat5 and Cat5e cables.
What happen when test over 100 meter cable without wireless net bridge or poe extender or fiber?
The signal strength will gradually deteriorate and cause signal loss.
What if the cat5 is above 100meter, from the switch to camera.could we use POe extender?

Can i just connect the Ethernet to the NVR then use the Poe extender to connect the cameras which are about 400 ft run without the Poe injector?
It'll work if it's a PoE NVR because the PoE extender needs power to operate.
