BTW, I know how much you love Korean BBQ, I saw a new one called Handam on BW8 and Bellaire by the H-Mart freeway entrance. The inside looks very modern and great reviews too on YELP. I’m originally from Houston and I grew up with Don’s and Les Givrals. I’m excited to try this place when I come home for thanksgiving. I’m in Austin now and we have an elusive banh mi lady that makes them like the ones I had in Vietnam. She makes/sells her own bread, mayo, pate, cha lua, xa xiu, and head cheese etc so u can DIY at home. She usually has a pop up in a grocery store or is an extension of an existing restaurant, and when they see how popular she is they raise her rent and it’s no longer profitable for her. She’ll be open for a few months then be gone for a couple till she finds a new home 😢. Her banh mi is very similar to this guy’s with a secret pork based sauce that she says she even steeps pineapple in 😍.

David! This looks seriously so amazing man. I never been to Hoi An but i know they famous for their banh mi. I like the different flavors and options his food truck has. I gotta track him down next time I'm in Houston! We plan to take a trip late this yr early next year (prob to Dallas tho)...Good video !

Hey PimpRacha! We love Banh Mi sandwiches! Bears could eat Vietnamese food twice a week if she could. LOL!! That's great that you were able to go to this food truck and get 4 or 5 sandwiches for the week! Thank god they put the veggies on the side, so your sando doesn't get soggy! How see of the owners to let you inside of their truck and give you the history of where the sandwich is from and all the ingredients inside. They seem very humble and kind when you spoke with them. The sandwiches you got looked amazing, and fully stuffed! We understand why it took you 35 minutes to eat 2 of them. OMG.. We can totally imagine you doing that Pho challenge to win $100. I have to say I love how kind and friendly the owners are. I can tell it was real and sincere, because I don't think she knew she was being record until you asked her after you placed the order. The way she welcome you was so nice to hear. I love family owned business that still put hospitality on top of their list. Looking forward to more food adventure till then :D.

@@DavidSriracha I think Hyun is worth it if you enjoy beef, there is easily enough time for 2-3 rounds and you get to try a variety of cuts and they have different kinds of wagyu from time to time, they had miyazaki wagyu the first time and then hokkaido the second time so they change it from time to time in addition to changing the cuts.

@@Kenknee36oh I don't think you're going to like my recommendation though 😆 there's Don care in Diho Square ..they're known for their butter ...the other one is alpha bakery inside hong Kong city mall ...people that I know like them but I think they're ok.the only place that I get banh mi now is Thim Hing behind the jack in the box on Bellaire ..the banh mi is small but their thit nuong is really good ..I think it's because of the lemongrass so yeah ...let me know what you think and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know ..enjoy your time in Houston 😄
