No, not just you. That is my thought process every single time I go out. It can be be exhausting just thinking about going out. But it's rewards of going out that drive us pass all those mental hoops and loops we jump through. :-)
Just starting this whole incredible photography venture, and yet I TOTALLY identified with every single re-think, “am I doing the right thing?” 400 times, and the excuses and self-doubts, the packing, the re+questiin8ng…. THANK YOU! Absolutely loved it.
I mean, this is a masterpiece, Rick! Glad I’m not the only one then, I always tell people the actual process of taking the picture is the easiest part of landscape photography… THIS is the real struggle 😂🙏🏼
This is SPOT ON, and a bit TOO real at times. The indecisiveness, the overthinking, the analyzing, all of it was so so so true haha. The hardest part for me is getting out the door sometimes, but I never regret doing it! Well sometimes I do, but more often then not I don't!
This is me every day!! Constantly doubting myself, constantly checking the weather, constantly changing my mind, etc etc. once you get out it makes it all worthwhile!!
😂 loved it! I have sat on a beach an hours drive away listening to the waves for 2 hours waiting for the break in the clouds that was promised for astro shots just to come home empty handed EXCEPT for the wonderful relaxing time I spent on my own in the dark out there. I got those planned astro shots after 2 more attempts. Your video was so perfectly true! It is hard to get out sometimes but the rewards are priceless.
Well, this earned a like and sub. I haven't tried lying next to my open pack, staring at the ceiling searching. However I will add it for my next internal struggle.
Haha, rang so many bells with me. The only unbelievable thing was finding 4 weather apps that gave the same forecast... never happens! So glad my passion is black and white and photographing whatever inspires me where I happen to be...
Ha ! Love it. My wife always checks another weather app if she doesn't like what the first one says ! And I've just wasted 5 mins searching for quotes about procrastination to put in a comment ...
That could almost be me in this clip!! ... The phrase at the end about being in bed is almost as well used in my togging circle as "There's no such thing as bad weather". You have a new subscriber!
Since I don't make my living from photography, I seldom "must" take certain pictures at certain times. But I do recognize your little scenario, the getting up early ....
I never trust the weather aps. They are a guide only in my book. Although on Saturday they forecast 100% chance of rain. I went anyway and am now trying to dry out my camera. Oh well, at least I did get out there.
@@RickBebbington I haven't had to get up at 4:30 since. I probably will have to do that tomorrow, though. To photograph the moon. And I say "probably" because I haven't looked for a good place to do that yet... Hope you're making lots of great ones. Or at least some. Whatever will make you happy.
Please tell me that it isn't just me.....?!

@@jbairdexp Absolutely!! Well worth it when you're in the moment
Same here with me every time when I plan for something out..... still struggling to get out of comfort zone :D
Spot on!!!
Yeah, it's just you. I always get up for sunrise shots at 2am... not...! ;)

Cheers Jack!! Indeed it is, it get's harder if anything!!

Even when you don't get anything, getting out is still better than staying in and wondering in my opinion! Thanks for watching :)
This is me every day!! Constantly doubting myself, constantly checking the weather, constantly changing my mind, etc etc. once you get out it makes it all worthwhile!!
Well you're in a very popular club if that helps?! Absolutely right, even if the weather is crap it's better to be out there 👍🏻
This is scarily accurate! Even the 4 alarms!

Definitely, even when it doesn't go how we want it to, you always learn/experience something!
Haha! Fantastic video Rick! This is my life...😆😆😆
Everyone's it seems! Thanks Mike
Nail on the chuffing head, Rick! 🤣 Every single time!
Cheers Stephen
Thanks for sharing! I check UAV Forecast every morning before each trip.
just watched this for second time, so funny and mirrors my thought process exactly at moment.
Thanks Gareth!!
This was a master piece. I am gonna save it to my fav list and watch it every time I am doubting my self...
Thanks, that means a lot to me! Glad you got something from it!!

🤣🤣🤣 This was so me last night!!!
Flat out hilarious...because it's all true! This is why all the trips I'm researching are three time zones to the west of home.
Thanks Gord, hope the trips are fruitful!
The story of my photographic life! 😂 Fantastic video Rick.
Thank you Charles :)
Every. Sigle. Time. Right down to the 4 alarms! 😂
I always wake on the first one, but know I'd sleep through it if I didn't set 4. What's that about?!
Spot on Rick, brilliant video.
thanks!
Haaaaaa - this is so accurate! Well done!
Thanks!
Each time 😅
The pain is real....!!
Brilliant!
So relatable!
Haha that was brilliant, I can especially relate to the weather changing on the damn app last minute! 🤣🤣
Thanks Diane!! I feel like creating it it was quite a therapeutic experience, and the comments certainly are!

Thanks Steve. I'm SO glad that so many people can relate to it, we're all in this one together!!
OMG I can't stop laughing. The music is perfect.
Thanks, it took me a weirdly long time to get that bit right!
Haha, rang so many bells with me. The only unbelievable thing was finding 4 weather apps that gave the same forecast... never happens! So glad my passion is black and white and photographing whatever inspires me where I happen to be...
Haha!! You're right actually, the mother of all continuity errors!!
Yep - I can especially relate to watching the weather and finding that perfect window only to have it fall apart the day before.
Landscape photography, 99% frustration. That 1% though....!
I absolutely love this Rick! It's kind of comforting to know I'm not alone! 😆
Cheers Will!
That was just great, Rick. Haha. That is most of us I feel. As you said you just gotta get out. 👏🏻👏🏻
Cheers Andrew!! You do. Easier said than done though!!
Loved this buddy, great idea 💡
Thank you! Cheers!
Brilliant, can't count how many times I've been through the same thing.
It's every week isn't it?!
thanks for the motivation man haha..loved it!!
This is a brilliant video - can't relate - not at all. Never done that. Nope never...

😂
Thank you mate, had A LOT of fun making it!!
@@RickBebbington yeah some of your facial expressions and gestures were really good and told the story
OMG, this is 100% me right now! 😩
Brilliant!!! That's basically the last 15 years of my life....
I don't think it'll ever be different either!! Thanks Scott
Ha ! Love it. My wife always checks another weather app if she doesn't like what the first one says !

Deja Vu!!!! All over again!
Thank you for this video, made my better half watch this…and she’s ROFL 😂 🤣
Haha!! Think it's been one of the first I made where my wife really enjoyed it. That might just be because of her starring role though...!
This is so accurate and relatable that I feel attacked 😂
Haha!! Sorry 😂
Excellent work Rick, one of the best videos I have seen in a while and one that I can very much relate to.
Thanks Nick - really appreciate that. Glad you liked it, one of the few videos I can look back on myself and smile!!
Masterpiece! So familiar ;)
Thank you!
Yup I can relate to all that! Watching your video made me feel better and I realised all the conflict and decisions are normal 👍

Haha!! Thanks!

So glad this never happens to me.
😀 Nicely done.
What's your secret? Is it denial??! Thanks!
So True! I feel lucky that I am in Utah and where I live I am 8-10 minutes from the mountains or parks. Yet ... I am consistently a little
late
Man, I'd love to go to Utah... it's very high up the list!! getting up early is hard no matter where you live I guess!
Lol great video and this is why I shoot street these days
I need to give street a proper try
Done all of those things
Bro… I thought I was the only one 😆 good sh*t!!
Haha!! Far from it according to all the other comments! Thanks for watching!
Spot on and Brilliant 😊!!
Cheers Omar!
OMG! I have SO been there.
Genius! 👍🏻
Thanks Richard!

Brilliant
Thanks Martin!

I think I had this even when it wasn't part of my profession!!
brilliant

Top top work buddy :)
Cheers Paul, appreciate that!!
You been spying on me?? 😄
You and a lot of others!!
WHO ARE YOU ? And how did you take over my brain ?!!
Haha!! Beware ;o)

Painfully so!!
How did you record my ruminating 😮
Haha!! You and everyone else it seems!
exactly the same!
Painful isn't it?!
😂 I feel attacked!
Sorry Michael 😂
Omg too scary relatable 😳😅.
Haha!! Seems like it is!

You never regret getting out there. Unless something terrible happens that is, but let's be honest that's unlikely 🤞🏻 (curses self)
What's a sunrise photo?
I'll let you know if I ever get out to take one...
I feel your pain!
Haha so true mate!
Relieved it's not just me to be honest Dan!!
Got up at 4:30 this morning. And left home as planned. But I couldn't get the photo I wanted.... :°-( Oh well, I had to try.
Hope you've had more luck since??!

Ummm are you IN my phone? Lol.
Not often 😂 scarily accurate though isn't it?!
Haha, so 👍

😂😂 So true. 👍🏼
thanks!
Well, with Wildlife photography it's exactly the same...
Get out of my head!! 🙂
Haha - sorry!!
How did you know this is what I did?😁
I think this is representative of the 90% of GAS photographers….lol..
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
#truestory
I'm not sure whether it makes me laugh or cry!
@@RickBebbington both of the above surely?!
lol 😅 really think you have issues lol
Yep, that’s not in doubt!
The ridiculously early sunrises in the UK surely add to the problem. Wild camping may be the only answer. You left out the possibility of midges. 🦟 😲
I knew I'd leave something out!!
