    FINALLY a Corsair QX fans review that *actually* properly shows the contents of the package! Every other review simply talkes about the fans themselves and the newegg site also seems to dismiss the box contents. Hopefully Corsair releases a digital manual soon.

    I have a 10 QX set up, you gotta order extra angled connectors for everything on the showcase side, the 2 that goto the box can be straight. You gotta plan it out but its soooo easy, no more commander pro mess.

      I think it's a messed up business case by corsair if you need to order separate cables to make your build. With the price of those fans, they should have provided all you need to install the fans in a basic case. Extra cable is for replacement or if you're installing it in a unique unorthodox case

    • @NickFje
      @NickFje 5 месяцев назад

      @@yohanes2034 I have 6 QX120 fans and 3 QX140 fans and have not needed to buy any extra cables at all.
      I have ordered icue link H150i too so I have 12 fans in total.
      Only the very early shipments of the QX fans arrived with 1 cable. Now they arrive with both the long straight cable and the shorter cable which have 90 degree connectors.
      If you are unlucky and still manage to get one of the older boxes with only 1 cable you should get one additional cable for free from Corsair.
      I purchased all my QX120 fans in 2023 and got the additional cable in both starter packs.

      I still use these. In my most recent videos you'd see for a time I turned them off cause the LED coil whine sound was annoying me and some software versions are a pain. On ARC effect LED mode it can barely be heard in my newest 2 videos I have the lights back on... I built my computer for low power and low noise. I have 2 140mm light wings and ripped off the RGB cables and the 3 Corsair fans at the front of my case. CPU fan is a 120mm Noctua all running at only about 550 RPM.

I have an extensive setup with the QL series fans and a couple of commander pros and this really gave me a sense of how these fans compare to the QLs. They are a bit softer overall but look great. Anyone knows if we can plug/ daisy chain qx120 and qx140 together in the same hub? Will the lighting work? I'm thinking of a build where need to utilize both qx120 and qx140

    • @sparketech
      @sparketech  8 месяцев назад +1

      Awesome Question, sadly don't have the full answer.
      I know the hub can support 140mm fans and 120mm fans but have not tried both at the same time. 12 x 120mm and 8 x 140mm but there is no answer on corsair at the same time and I only own the 120mm.
      If you don't get an answer it could be a good idea to join the Corsair forums and ask. I see technical support people in there answering questions. I would think you'd just put the 140mm on the other link of the HUB.

    • @sparketech
      @sparketech  8 месяцев назад

      Sadly I don't have any sort of straight forward answer for you because I never ever used the AF120s. I just know the AF fans are older the the QX fans have the new link tech. I know with certain models that aren't the QX fans many people complained about the RGB not working for long.
      If you look at my newest video I have the QX fans installed but I do honestly hate Corsairs pain in the butt software. The fans I found to be better than the Lian Li SL120 unifans inf which I reviewed for pure fan pressure but the Lian Li fans are so much nicer looking, easier to use software and cheaper than Corsair and are also easier to install in moste case than Corsair.

      As far as I understand from others that were angry reviews... Saw 2 or 3 people that were mad about this not working with other open source software. There is the option to do custom settings in the software but it is confusing so I never tried. The software took some getting used to. I love how simply the Lian Li 3 pack is... If you click on videos that review was my most recent upload. Very easy to use and good overall design and half the price.
