TEAM REPLAY - I adore this whole idea! I am a 61 yr old grandmother who cares for a busy 3 yr old grandson. Sometimes when he’s just playing I feel the need to sketch or just make some doodles- these little art cups and trays are brilliant!! Thank you sos so much!! And btw it’s MEEDAN that gives you the plastic thingy to open a block- in fact if you email them like I did and ask for one if you’ve ordered their paper and didn’t get one they will send you one! I have a boxy pencil case loaded with brushes, mini palette, fiber cloth, pencil, collapsible cup and sketchbook. It sits on my work desk at the office. Work while eating and then go sketch in the kitchen for an hour.

I couldn’t wait. While watching this video on my iPad, I carried my iPad around the house building my first magic bag. I found a cosmetic bag under the sink in the bathroom, and out in it a tiny palette, a postcard size watercolor block (partly used), a tiny spray water bottle, and three brushes. Now I can’t wait to use it!

This is freaking brilliant! I’m only a tiny bit in to the video but wanted to share that I have long Covid and mostly bed bound. I’ve a basket with books, my planner, my beautiful pens 😺. I am mostly stuck in bed, and always trying to figure out how to watercolor while laying on my side, lol. I totally understand your desire to do more art in bed! I am toying with the idea of getting watercolor pencils to experiment with. I hope you do find a good set-up, and that your health improves sooner rather than later. Good luck!
No regretting you are beautiful right now. In 10 years you will look back on yourself in pictures and realize that “hey I looked good” so stop beating yourself up. You are great and enjoyable

I had an old straw tote that I now use to carry some supplies around the house, and it's neutral and pretty like a home accessory if i leave it out! 😅 Also, i include an inspirational photo book for reference ideas. Thank you for the nudge to make more. ❤

For those who paint AND sew, I found an old rotary cutter works great for cutting paper. I mark the cutter with a sharpie so I don’t confuse it with my better fabric cutters.
I’m eagerly awaiting your new travel water cup. I thought that was what you were making 😂. This is a great idea though. I carry my paint supplies in my bag whenever I go out to someplace that I may be bored.

So I have found that when I have echo, I can solve it by turning off my speakers on all devices and peripherals that are around and making sure that microphones are off on everything but the one main mic. Having multiple devices gives you multiple speakers.... so phones, tablets, headphones, earbuds, webcams.... lots of sneaky mics and speakers 😊
Yes I turn off everything but I have the lingering issue of two phones that are too close together and produce the echo even when all the pesky stuff is managed. Still trying to figure out how to get a much better sound. I’ll get there!
I've wanted to try the Cretacolor Aqua pencils for ages...I've heard good and not so good things about them, but I have a set of their Nero oil pencils that I love. I think its charcoal with oil? I love them for grey scale drawings. I'm definitely putting them in my "robust " kit! ❤😊

Challenge accepted. I do have one magic “cup” that’s a bag a friend made me. It’s a small satchel with pockets. I will go through it and change it up. I didn’t watch this live but what I am working on while watching this is re-covering the cushions in my new (to me) little 15’ travel trailer. I am making it bright and girly boho-ish. I just got this cute turquoise plastic basket because I knew it will look cute on the table in the trailer with something in it. Now I know that I will make it my magic cup in my trailer. Thank you for another fun and inspiring video.

In my magic cup for my trailer I put various pens, colored pencils, water color paper, a few of my Kristy brushes and my Kristy Rice Art For Joy’s Sake watercolor pallet. 😻 Of course there are a few necessary mundane items as well.
I also put my Steal Like An Artist book and its companion book in to re-read. They are small so they fit.
Day after tomorrow my little Havanese dog Chip and I are taking my trailer Dandi and go on a trip for a few days.

I have a metal box that folds out that I take with me. It has a handle and locking latch. I take it everywhere and moves around the house with me.

Do the Tim Holtz watercolour pencils behave similar to Caran Dache neo colour?
They have more of a waxy feel but only slightly
Question for the community: Will watercolor in pans survive a hot car during summer? I want to make a magic bag for my vehicle, but don’t want it to melt! Anyone have any experience with this?
Any brand would but keep honey based pans flat so they don’t ooze or run a bit with the hot sun :)
