  • I install the Chimera Clipons from ‪@steadygarage‬ on my 2019 Honda Track Monkey. I also install a Brembo P34 caliper, stainless steel brake line and the TST axle sliders in preparation for my next track day. It's been fun focusing this bike as a track build.

Are the Repsol Grom's rims powder coated or painted? I want to do an orange and blue theme for my 22 blue Grom but not sure if I'll like colored rims. Have you ever mentioned publicly what you do for work? You seem to have a good toy budget...been following you since the start of the year and enjoy the content. Cheers from Australia, mate

Yes, they're powder coated, color is Prismatic "New Tucker Orange" and looks very close to the legit Repsol color. I think a blue and orange scheme would look pretty wild. And like so many folks these days, I work in IT :)

Hey brother how did those sliders hold up in the crash or were they really not impacted?
I'm thinking about buying a set and I'm curious if they really work. Do they bend, do they break, Will they hurt the motor if you get in a crash considering their mounting points?
300 plus dollars for a complete set isn't stupid money but it seems expensive for what they are. But I'm afraid if I go the route of crash bars or the engine cage it look a little goofy and at the same time not protect things like the exhaust and other parts of the bike.

There wasn’t any slide in the crash but the sliders did keep the bike propped up and prevented any damage to the tank and other parts of the bike. I’m sure a hard enough crash could bend them or damage the mounting points but for drops and low speed slides these seem to be very good protection.

Hi, I love all your videos, very helpfull. Is there any bigger fuel/gas tank on the market? I'm sure many HM owners would appreciate to replace 5.6l to something bigger (to 7.5l). That would be not only fun build, but even more practical. Thank you.

Thanks! I haven't seen a bigger tank, but I know they sell aux tanks for other minis that I bet you could make fit: japan.webike.net/products/1610524.html

I run my ruck shop clip ons upside down on the Grom for knee/elbow down practice. It naturally allows me to get the bike leaned over and gets rid of the supermoto ergonomics. I’d say it’s probably close to what an Ovale would feel like. Awesome builds!

Thanks - I've been working on them in the background but haven't done enough at once for a video, I'll get an update on my '69 silvertag build soon!
