Great DIY! My buddy has a 328d and we change his oil with AMSOIL. We are both preferred customers and plan to keep it that way.
Thanks! Yeah you can’t beat 20% off of the best oil on the market. Preferred is the way to go!
Super informative, helped me a lot
I need some of these products in my life!
“Hello there”…Love the video! Can you lend an opinion on my BMW 2017D turbo? It has over 100 Thowzand miles on it, should I go with the 0weight oil instead of the 5w-30?
I would recommend using Amsoil's Engine/Transmission flush in your engine to dissolve any deposits and varnish off of the surfaces and passages within your engine and turbo. Immediately drain oil after using the Flush and put a high quality 100% Synthetic Oil in there such as Amsoil's European 5W-30. This oil meets the BMW LL-04 specifications that your engine requires. But to answer your question I would recommend using 5W-30 over a 0Weight oil for the added protection that your engine needs at over 100,000 miles.
Супер! Спасибо
Whats the torque spec for the drain plug and filter cap?
Thanks for watching! The Drain Plug torque Spec is 25 Nm and the Filter Cap torque spec is 25 Nm as well. Also remember to replace your sealing washer on your drain plug at every oil change to prevent leaks.
How do I get the preferred customer discount? And is this the oil for the pothole’d or non pothole’d edition lol
Hey Adam. That's a great question. To become a Preferred Customer go to this link www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/
From there Click "Join Now" and it should give you the option to try out a 6 month trial membership or a 12 month membership. At checkout make sure to put my dealer number (30164620) into the system to support me. I highly recommend using Amsoil's Signature Series Oils, Amsoil's Engine/Transmission Flush at every oil change, and Amsoil's oil filters because they have the best micron filtration rating on the market.
Hey can I use this exact same bottles for a 2014 BMW 328d ?
Last time I used mobile one 0w-30
Yes! I would recommend the exact same fluids that I use in the video, 5w-30. We've got to remember that small displacement diesel engines like the N47 in the 328d were primarily sought after for their great fuel economy and longevity, not necessarily performance. 2.0L and 3.0L diesel tuning and performance modifications are part of a very niche market in the USA, unlike European nations. Kinda sad if you think about it. I stepped up to 5w-30 Signature Series because of the performance modifications and "deletes" I have. I would recommend the same if you have the same plan for your 328d.
How's that cold air intake? I wanted to get one but couldn't find a video show casing it. Does it noticeably accentuate the turbo noise?
It definitely sounds different compared to the stock intake. I have some before and after footage I can post as well so you can hear the difference so be on the lookout. We have a TikTok for our Amsoil business too if you’d like to check out anymore of our content @cps_automotive
That video is uploaded!
Hi Bro.After how many kilometers do you change the oil? Is 7000km normal ?
I personally change my oil in the 328d every 4,000 miles or 6,437 Kilometers. The best way to keep any diesel engine healthy is to religiously change your oil on a regular basis. Following factory oil change intervals for the 328d are just asking for premature engine/turbo failure. After I change my oil, I reset the tripometer so I have a live view in my instrument cluster to know when to change my oil next.
@@carolinaperformancesynthet4412 thank you for the information Bro 👍
Is this car reliable?
For Sure! It definitely can be by staying on top of preventative maintenance items such as your oil change, fuel filter change, transmission fluid change, etc. The majority of issues of all diesel engines (European,American) are honestly the government mandated emission systems. "Delete...Delete...Delete" and with regular preventative maintenance you will have a healthy vehicle for years to come. Also make sure that the service history on the vehicle you are looking at is by the book or to higher standards.
Might be good to show how to reset the computer, but otherwise an excellent video.
Good Call.
To Reset The Oil Change Reminder on an F30:
1. Press the start button with foot off the brake to get into Accessory Mode
2. Wait for the Service Reminder to Disappear
3. Press and hold the odometer reset button. After holding you will notice on the display in your instrument cluster that the service options will appear. Use the odometer reset button to cycle through the services until you find the service you want.
4. When you see the service you want on the display, press and hold the odometer reset button again . The system will change from "Reset Possible" to "Reset?"
5. Press and hold the Odometer Reset button again until service is reset
6. Press the Start/Stop Button to turn the car off.
7. All Done!
Show some Exhaust clips bruhhhhhh
My exhaust is a work on progress. I’ll try to make a video in the near future regarding my exhaust setup.
