    Hi, I just used the pump on my 425D here in UK, managed to remove the full 5.2L without having to remove the drain plug. I'm pretty surprised myself how well it worked. I would recommend to anyone with a N47T engine. Great video BTW!

      Only issue I had was around 55,000 miles, the transfer case needed replacement, other than that it has been solid to 73,000 miles. I actually sold the last month, but I was very happy with it. How about you?

    Pull the oil filter before you pump out the oil. Because once you remove the filter it sends a shot of dirty oil down into the oil pan. Better yet, screw the pump and drain it. The pump doesn't get all the sediment out like draining does. There's an access door in the skid plate.

    This may be the only video that actually shows the location of the dipstick on the 328d. Thanks! I just bought a 2015 328d wagon with 55K miles on it. @@kcludlow I own a 2014 328d ...it has 53k miles ...no problems at all and I really enjoy it...I will say the first few times I needed the oil changed, I took it the the BMW dealership...it was about $330 each time which included the oil, DEF fluid, oil filter change. I have since either changed the oil myself as shown in this great video or taken it to a local mechanic skilled in European/diesel vehicles and have had no problems (and paid $140). I can get 55mpg on the highway and average about 33mpg in city driving...love my 328d!

      Hello. I’m about to buy this same year and model car, I had a 2012 328 previously gasoline powered and maintenance is not a issue for me but my question is. How well is been doing this car for the last 2 years.? Any Major problem? Thanks. Btw. Great video

    • @jhtnpa
      @jhtnpa 2 года назад

      @@fredygonzalez962 Hi Fredy - I sold my 328d less than a year ago - I am glad I did because the price of diesel fuel has skyrocketed. That being said, it got about 35mpg in the city and close to 55mpg on the highway - of course I miss that mpg! The only problem I had with the car was the diesel fuel injectors began clogging and I had to replace one - that was about $1300.00. It worked fine after that but then I started to get warning lights that another injector was going bad so, not wanting to spend another $1300 and with prices of diesel rising, I sold it. I also bought the car for a long commute but had a change of employment so had only city driving. I will say that I used only "top tier" fuel sources (BMW recommended BP diesel) so I used that or other top tier stations only - I never used Kroger/Sams diesel or the like. I tried some diesel fuel/injector cleaners as well but my mechanic said they usually won't clean the injectors enough to make a difference and that replacement was required after so many miles. It only had about 55k when I sold it and I'm sure with changing the injectors it'd last a long time - again, I just didn't want to invest the $ for that and the oil changes were about $300 each visit so I anticipated more $ spent as the car got older...Good luck!
