I can't believe I am having to say this but: Hypothetical arguments in this video are for entertainment purposes & not an invitation for heated real world race debates or comparison. It's about choosing the lesser of 2 Evils in a video game 👍

Hmm...interesting! I guess satire, parody, comedy, and "trolling," so to speak, is hard to tell or discern online. However, I must say, if you didn't discuss it in the video, I haven't seen it yet, but you might use HK-47 to talk to them and learn all those histories as much as you please, then after that, start stealing stuff to aggravate them and start the killing.

The island is protected to outsiders by mutual agreement that the people want isolation, will kill intruders, and everyone else simply respects the wish. The reason I use that example is because it compares to tatooine (few resources, inhospitable geography, isolated location, etc). Respectfully disagree. By aiding the sand people in the game, the Chieftain concurs to reduce attacks on Anchorhead civilians...so in technicality, by not ending their lives, one must also consider the vast reduction of killings they perpetrate through generations ahead (at least, relative to if you never had influenced/met the Sand people/helped them in the first place). Even though it's KOTOR, massacring a whole tribe is always wrong; they weren't as evil or anywhere nearly as powerful as KOTOR's dark jedi. Just an opinion.. 🤔

Although the tribe might eventually lead to them turning to either war or trade in the future depending on whether or not the chieftain decides to openly question their tradition and history maybe after several generations even. With all those new ideas who knows what a tribe like this could do on their own or if they ever get allies somewhere down the road. Might make for an interesting quest in a future game.

I think the most clear-cut light side & most generally moral option is to negotiate with the sand people, provide the moisture vaporators but also INSIST that the attacks stop entirely which will lead to the sand people chieftain being the one to lose any semblance of moral high ground & results in the same outcome as a morally dubious premeditated attack on the sand people camp.
While the killing them outright may seem like the pragmatic choice in theory, I recall that destroying the sand people camp results in the neighboring clans becoming more aggressive with increased attacks anyway, so taking the camp out ultimately makes things worse.

Note, you can't beat the turrets, even at level 20 with 3 Jedi and good lightsabers so you still have to sneak in. I also don't even bother buying HK. I run 3 Jedi until I can't, and run Zaalbar with twin swords and 2 Jedi. I get Zaalbar up to 30 strength and with 2 good swords he's a walking Vegamatic! Later on kills Rancors with a single flurry!

I think the issue when it comes to knowing how best to deal with the Sand People is that there many different tribes of them. Some *slightly* more reasonable such as the Tribe Boba joined, others are more like the ones who tortured Anakin's mom to death, less concerned with survival and more with inflicting pain on those they see as lesser. Unfortunately, due to the latter, no one trusts the former and considering how hard it is to understand Tuskenese, the general distrust both parties have for one another, and the nigh-impossible tasks of differentiating between the two without careful observation (which would be far easier said than done without being fought and neither groups are likely to allow it on their best day) it makes establishing peace - or even just peace talks in general - an uphill battle.

So you wish to continue the ecologically exploitative practice of resource extraction that the Tusken people have recounted as destructive by both their own people and outsiders more technologically advanced than the Czerka and the cause for the reason that their homeworld is so barren. Somehow you conflate using technology through stealing as the same thing as producing technology in a factory setting, using that very same technology to steal resources from the world, which mind you still suffers the look of extreme resource exploitation, hence the desert, as the exact same. You look at “facts and logic” and yet scoff at the history recounted by the Tusken people themselves of how the violence of ecological extraction and technology has affected and scarred their people. You frame the Czerka and it’s settlers as acting in self defense, and yet they still continually try to exploit the world, acting as if that does not have consequences and serves some greater ideal of “prosperity” and is outside the frame of violence, inserting themselves and expanding their space on the world. You say that the Czerka would be willing to co-operate as if that is a neutral statement without hidden values; in the very video you state yourself that the Czerka would like to co-operate in the only interest that they co-exist and (the silent part out loud) that they continue resource extraction. The Tusken people are not hypocrites, they are standing up for their values and see the same military presence that can only be responded to with violence, as it has successfully been done in the past. You are not using “facts and logic” you are just a person that has ecocidal, capitalist, colonialist values whose consequences you’d like to minimize and hide under the veneer of more “prosperity” as if the prosperity of the Tusken people and its planet are not already being destroyed. Telling is the “people” in this prosperity of corporations, settlers, and businesses, the only groups of people who benefit from military occupation and violent expansion of the land.

      Well said!
Slight correction, it was the Rakata who turned Tatooine from a lush planet of oceans and jungles into a desert through a massive planetary bombardment, far greater in scale than the one that destroyed Taris. The Rakata did this because the Kumumgah, the highly technologically advanced ancestors of the Tuskens, were being too successful at resisting enslavement. So the Rakata massed their entire fleet and literally bombed them back into the Stone Age.

Maybe its the best thing you can do as a regular person, but this is not the jedi way. The jedi usualy avoid conflict if the scale doesnt affect the republic or many lives on multiple planets, and even so they would still not engage in a situation that could escalate something worse in the long run, they simply do the missions they are sent to do and try to resolve any situation with no violence/negotiation. But even though i dont agree with the jedi way as it is ceryVERY flawed, killing one tribe to save another(i mean the czerka and miners) is not the right way, its blaming the leadership and punishing its followers for the sake of the czerka sucking out resorces who are still enslavers even though the tatooine branch doesnt enslave the locals. And you know what happens to the wookies in the future, enslaved many times, hunted by lizards and more. The czerka corporation is still allied with both sith and jedi at some point but they use their influence to enforce profit regardless of the concequences of the plantes they mine from or the locals they enslave and opress. I hate to see the sandpeople sticking to their dumb hypocrite leader but the czerka is a larger threat to lives on a larger galactic scale so the lesser of two evils would be to choose to just hand over the water to the leader and move on as this is not a conflict you are a part of, but if it was an option i would at least try to stay a bit longer to help solve this with a diplomatic non violent negotiation as i chose jedi consular and it would seem like the right thing to do as a jedi consular.
