I bought this unit after watching your video (thank you) but with pet hair, one vacuum of my house and the next time the air coming out smells like dog. Any advise? Also would like to know what attachement you use for the residential carpet? TIA
I'm glad you are on the subject of vacuum cleaners today. I was thinking about sending you a message to ask you for suggestions on how to clean a vacuum hose.
Hello Eva! If the hose can be detached from the vacuum you could soak in hot soapy water them use a tube brush to stick through it to clean the inside👍🙂
I bought this vac on your recommendation and just used it for the first time. Love it. But I also noticed the issues associated with the hose it comes with and will look for a replacement. However my concern is that at least the factory hose connects to the canister at a 90 degree angle while the replacement you used looks like it kinks at the top. Doesn’t that create a potential for blockage?
Are you still liking this vacuum? Better than proteam? And what do you do for carpeted floors? Straight suction or do you use an upright with a beater bar?
I would stick with ProTeam, my Prolux had a defect and quit working pretty fast. It was awesome while it worked though!! I like the Shark Vertex upright vacuum for carpets👍🙂
Nice video! And nice vac! I’ve been looking at this vacuum for along time. How do you like it compared to the proteam? I was thinking the paint may get scratched up over time. But if it’s a solid performer, that’s forgivable. Does yours have the huge H.E.P.A. filter inside? I’ve been wondering how this machine would do on construction dust compared to the proteam. Guessing it might do fairly well??? Thanks for any thoughts you can share!!
It performs pretty much the same as the Proteam, It is just 1 pound heavier. I think the Prolux is more comfortable than the ProTeam. They both would perform about the same on construction dust. That fine dust clogs the filters fast and the suction goes way down. I always recommend a wet/dry type vacuum for construction dust. 🙂
@@CleanWithConfidence haha, ok that makes sense. What broke on it? Motor overheat? That would be surprising with the size of the hepa element in it. Have you ever considered adding an electrified hose and Powerhead to your backpack?

No it doesn't kink or anything.

Thank You 👍🏼👍🏼💯💯💯💯💯💯
you are welcome
So what do you use for homes that have carpet?
Shark Vertex is what I recommend
Hey.
What type of vacuum cleaner and brand do you use in your house?
I use the vacuum I reviewed in this video. For carpeted floors I use a Shark Vertex.
@@CleanWithConfidence Which one do you prefer bagged or bagless?
@@ilrimpianto for carpeted floors bagless.
@@CleanWithConfidence okay
@@ilrimpianto its just personal preference. That make phenomenal bagged vacuums for carpeted floors as well👍
Thank you so much! Surprised the prolux quit! Did they warranty it for you?
Happy to help! Yes they probably do, mine was free so they didn't send me another one lol

@@gregslabaugh7565 It just quit working one day. Motor comes on just no suction.
Wow- that’s interesting. If you want to unload it, I’d be willing to pay for shipping. I’d have to contact you directly though.
@@gregslabaugh7565 I am probably going to put it through some experimentation!
CWC, can the prolux 10Q be used to take up fireplace ash? I know the proteam backpack wasn’t a good fit for that.
I wouldn't recommend it. You could probably get away with a little bit. For fireplace ash I would uses a wet/dry vacuum.
@@CleanWithConfidence thanks for your sharing your expertise. Your videos on these topics are fantastic.
