What a treat seeing William standing on his own and feeling proud as well. He seems to be a little heater boy, "running hot", no shoes, no beanie hat for him and the both of you. Stay safe and warm.
Your William just gets cuter and cuter with each video. Love the hat pulling trick he has mastered. No need for hat or shoes he says. I wonder how cold it has to get before he decides maybe you were right about shoes and socks. Love the mug, love the town where so much pottery is made. This has to be one of the most industrial area you have been through. I think it is time you invested in an electric bike, Vick. That was a long ride back to Holly. Loved the ending with William being so proud of himself for standing all by himself. Well done William.
That was the perfect ending. We all cheered to William standing on his own. Now on to explore with new adventures. May they enjoy the best coffee and of course the best cakes from Holly. William says there will be no hats worn.
Oh my, we have really enjoyed your vlogs..... then there's William. The way he discards hats and socks - is the cutest! He is the absolute cutest. Thanks again for taking us along.
I hanger to say, this has made me laugh. William says no shoes, no socks and no beanies. Made me smile. He is a cutie. Are you guys going to sell these mugs? I would absolutely love to buy one. ❤️❤️❤️
I think I've watched pretty much all the Narrowboat RUclipsrs but these are def my favourites. Im surprised their subscriber count isn't at at least 100k by now.
Second video I've watched and I'm addicted already! Seriously what a beautiful little family you are and I genuinely hope to bump in to you guys next year along the Macc canal. I'm a Stokie lass born and bred and made of clay haha. We are often along the canal on our little Dawncraft during Spring/Summer. We've broken down not once but twice in Harecastle tunnel SCARY!! I can TOTALLY vibe you're big dreamers with bags of enthusiasm and those qualities are awesome I'm able to offer you lots of hints and tips on how and where to get free ingredients on your travels (I'm a hobby forager) and a lot of my time is spent along the canals and woodlands. Look forward to seeing more of your videos - Lindsey xx
What a fantastic vlog down memory lane. I used to live in Burslem in my 20s now lm 72 but following your walks round the streets nothing much has changed apart from a few now redundant buildings. One of my first jobs was for Midwinter Pottery but then l went on to the building of Tunnel Kilns an upgrade to the bottle Kilns you viewed in the vlog ended up working all over the country. Realy enjoyed it just as you are travelling around the country is probably why l enjoy your vlogs so much 😎😎😎
Absolutely brilliant vlog, every second of it was just sheer enjoyment - thank you. I agree with William, standing without help deserves a massive round of applause
I grew up in Stoke and now live near the Macclesfield canal. I absolutely loved watching this video and the previous one! It made me appreciate my town's history and scenery in a new way. Thanks guys!
We watch every week. We absolutely adore William. You are both amazing parents and you are raising a beautiful child. We laugh a lot watching your family. Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey!
Loved the music and editing, and of course William standing! YAY! I would have stopped at the tunnel when I saw the other boater come out of it wearing a safety helmet 😳 Thanks for sharing. 🙏😊🤗 Kathy
That was a great vlog! it had everything! And William standing up, he looks so pleased with himself. Please can I buy a mug off you when you go into production? x
God I feel like I am stalking , but as soon as your videos end I am like......"nooooooo!!!" And look for the next one. You have helped navigate me through a difficult period. Thank you! X
A great vlog, the tunnel looks harrowing, I was glad when you got through the other side. The water outside Harecastle is brown because of the iron in the water, it’s not clay that causes it. Gosh that was some journey that Vic took to get Holly! William is adorable and really hot blooded with his preference for bare feet and head. Take care you three. X
Wonderful seeing the look on William’s face when he stood on his own. We spent the first 6 weeks of our narrowboat life at Westport and Longport having work done on our boat. That was at the beginning of September this year. Enjoy the Macclesfield ❤️❤️❤️
I like to think I cheered William standing on his own at the same time everyone else did. perfect ending. Now I'm like lets watch holly the cafe boat and William! Your famous kiddo!🤩☺😀😅
Thanks for another great video. I am enjoying your journies - the canals and boats and William as he grows. It reminds me so much of my own journey as a father and watching my sons (4 of these and 1 daughter). The backpack - socks off and hats off.
Many years ago I walked the route of Boathorse Road and found some of it rough going, so I sympathise with your attempt to do it on a bike. You are right about the very shallow stop lock; it was put there to protect the Trent & Mersey's water supply. The first section of the Macclesfield was originally known as the Trent & Mersey's Hall Green branch.
Hi Jo, Vic & William from Australia. Fantastic vlog and the tunnel was an absolute adventure. Enjoy the trip as you head north. Great to see William standing at the end.
Lovely video! Really enjoyable, exciting and happy! It was special to see William chuffed to bits with himself standing up up! It's a lovely time! He'll be steering the boat soon enough! 😀
Boathorse road is a nightmare, there is a camp at the top which is the cause of all the mess. There is a lovely diversion around alongside the lakes. I recommend you stop at Congleton. I lovely market town. Mel
Great video as always and good to see you on some of my home waters in Staffordshire, but a small correction. The colour of the water at Harecastle is due to iron deposits leaching out of the surrounding ironstone and into the tunnels and not the clay. Staffordshire has a huge history of coal and iron production which was partly the reason the pottery companies came to be based in Stoke.
I only recently found your channel and loved it so much I started from the very beginning! I have just recently got to the pregnancy announcement, and I am so happy William is doing so well. I don't mean to put other vloggers down but it was so nice to see the full story, from the very beginning, put together so well. It made going back and seeing your journey begin such a joy. I can't wait to see your future adventures!
Thanks for another refreshing video, like the fact that you mix it up a bit (Canal & Urban Walks) like the mug . Tunnel looked like fun spooky trip plus Vic got to do it twice on same day. Happy Safe travel. Dave B. Thailand.
Thanks for a great video and well done William. I was told that the water was that colour because of ruse from iron in the area and that the other tunnel used to be the only one, but it was pushed down by the weight of the hill above and was no longer navigable, so they had to build the new one which is also slowly sinking.
If we were drinking people we could play, "have a drink every time William divests himself or yourselves of an item of apparell". However, we don't hold that much booze in the house! We love watching William....oh and the rest of the vlogs are pretty cool too! Xxx
I love all the videos around Stoke. I passed through the tunnel headed south in September. The water levels were really low. Here are a couple facts about the Tunnel. The water is red from all the iron in the water. The water has a much higher concentration of iron on the north end of the tunnel than on the south end. The reason that there are two tunnels is that the first one caved in. Try not to think about it next time you pass through the tunnel.
Hello Vic,Jo and William what a lovely video packed with loads of information. Loved it when William stood on his own so proud. He does worry me though no socks and shoes his little toes looked so cold. Loved the mug very nice. Have a great week. 😊
We did Harecastle many moons ago, before the fans or the doors, but found the colour of the oxidised water stunning. A good light and a good hat, definitely desired. I believe the second tunnel was commisioned, but the first tunnel subsided. Absolutely no doubt as to Who? stole the show😅
I look forward to the vids every week, and this one was top as always. The quality and editing is so high - your previous careers really show through! Love the mugs too. Looking forward to seeing you explore the new canal and the north!
Loved the video! White noise and darkness as a new treatment for teething babies! Little William most certainly does not like wearing any socks, shoes, toques...! Too funny. Although I can imagine that you too have to modify all of your walks so that someone is behind to pick up all his clothes! What ever will you do once the weather is frosty and snowy and he won't keep his boots and hat and probably mitts on? Well, I can tell you that hooded onsies/snowsuits with little strings for the mitts may just be the ticket for him, although keeping those boots on...hmmmmmm.....baby lace up boots?? lol
The hat thing, it must just be a a thing that all kids do. My daughter was always taking off hats, socks, shoes and in some situations even her own nappy. I felt like I was constantly picking up dropped items of clothing - summer hats were almost impossible to keep on. ❤ Oh the memories, drove me a little bit mad at the time due I’m sure to sleep deprivation, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. 🙂🐿🌈❤️
Fantastic video, as always. Great to see you all thriving. I am looking forward to your Macc canal trips as it is my old childhood stomping ground. Regards and best from NZ.
Your vlogs have become such a weekly treat (half way around the world in South Africa), and this week’s video was so nice after a terrible week. Though I know what we see in the video’s is only snippets from your life that undoubtedly also include challenges, but I so salute you for living your best life (and the wonderful experiences it offers young William). Jo, I’ve mentioned in a comment before that your accent reminds me a bit of that of Johnny Vegas. Are you (and him) by any chance from the same area? This week’s video was just what I needed to pick me up after a bad week! Best wishes.
Absolutely loved this Vlog William is coming on so well. Hope you come on the Leeds and Liverpool maybe moored at Botany Bay. Your so genuine. ❤️❤️Trevor & Linda
Phew finally caught up, had no internet connection for a while there so did a bit of a binge, You guys look so content and happy even with the covid hiccup. William is growing fast and that banana pancake yum I am off to buy a banana just to make one, oat cakes too looked delicious. Cant wait to see what you cook up for the Cafe Boat and I am sure you will have great turnouts when you are open for business. Love It!
Obviously I enjoyed the vlog and what a wonderful family you are. I must get one of your mugs. I am now in my late 70's and have never tasted peanut butter and I don't think I ever will...... sorry!!!! See you soon.
What a treat seeing William standing on his own and feeling proud as well. He seems to be a little heater boy, "running hot", no shoes, no beanie hat for him and the both of you. Stay safe and warm.
The little guy is growing fast. Won’t be long till he is running all over. Always enjoy the videos. Thank you.
I really enjoy your 'Day in the life' style of filming your life on your narrowboats. Your new coffee/tea mugs are really groovy.
Your William just gets cuter and cuter with each video. Love the hat pulling trick he has mastered. No need for hat or shoes he says. I wonder how cold it has to get before he decides maybe you were right about shoes and socks. Love the mug, love the town where so much pottery is made. As an exiled Stokie, well done for using Moorland Pottery and helping to keep the industry going.
Wow, you must have done something really bad to get exiled from Stoke. o.O
I hanger to say, this has made me laugh. William says no shoes, no socks and no beanies. Made me smile. He is a cutie. Are you guys going to sell these mugs? I would absolutely love to buy one. ❤️❤️❤️
Your enthusiasm and happiness is contagious. I found myself smiling for you all. Lovely video !!!
New territory for the trio! Including William standing straight up by himself! Superb!
Those mugs are adorable! Great Vlog as usual. You guys are doing a wonderful job with William. So dang cute!
The mug is really nice. It is unique and personal instead of "mass-produced" looking.
William free standing! Love you guys xxx
Well done to the star of the show, William 👏🏼
I think I've watched pretty much all the Narrowboat RUclipsrs but these are def my favourites. Im surprised their subscriber count isn't at at least 100k by now.
Mmm I think they are pretty new - but they'll get there! Love the Cafe.
At the very end of the video William seems SO happy with himself for standing up by himself. Well done Master William!
Haha he was really chuffed with himself!
Second video I've watched and I'm addicted already! Seriously what a beautiful little family you are and I genuinely hope to bump in to you guys next year along the Macc canal. You're brilliant! I agree. And so are you Jo. You're brilliant 👏 Then there is that lovely William walking. It is an alchemy of brilliance.
I grew up in Stoke and now live near the Macclesfield canal. I absolutely loved watching this video and the previous one! It made me appreciate my town's history and scenery in a new way. Thanks guys!
Left with a standing ovation, great.
We watch every week. We absolutely adore William. You are both amazing parents and you are raising a beautiful child. We laugh a lot watching your family. Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey!

Hats off, socks off, and standing on his own two feet. Just love William. Oh yes, of course your adventures along the way. 🙂
Love all you videos William pulling your hat off cracked me up laughing it was so random, happy boating and be safe.
Love to hear your excitement along the way: the old factories, the dialect changes, the people. Wish you were writing a book!
What a fun vlog. I love the mug, and the hat subplot, and the insight into those boat horses, and the triumphant jammies ending. So fun!
Ahhh 3 cheers for William ! Another masterful vlog guys , so good to have you back weekly.
Perfect, just perfect. What a wonderful wee soul you have there, God bless all xx
That was a great vlog! it had everything! And William standing up, he looks so pleased with himself. Please can I buy a mug off you when you go into production? x

I look forward to your vlog every week. Thanks for the smiles
I love your Vlogs! And it's so neat watching William grow since his birth! I can't take my eyes off of him 🥰 Such a beautiful little family!

Hi Jo, Vic & William from Australia. Fantastic vlog and the tunnel was an absolute adventure. Enjoy the trip as you head north. Great to see William standing at the end.
Ive just come across the video , you've just taken me back to my childhood spent many a day down at Westport Lake thanks you xx
Lovely video! Really enjoyable, exciting and happy! It was special to see William chuffed to bits with himself standing up up! It's a lovely time!
He'll be steering the boat soon enough! 😀
great to see you again. fun to watch William and the hats
I love all songs in this video, well chosen!
The mugs are wonderful and so are all your videos! Take care and enjoy your new "home" base!
Boathorse road is a nightmare, there is a camp at the top which is the cause of all the mess. There is a lovely diversion around alongside the lakes. I recommend you stop at Congleton. I lovely market town. Mel
Westport lake is where the first shovel of soil was dug by Josiah Wedgwood to commence the digging of the Trent and Mersey

William is quickly growing into a little boy, I'm sure he'll be a handful before you know it guys, take care of yourselves.
You are on my favorite canal and a really cool tunnel I love stroke on Trent
Way to go standing up William .

Fantastic vlog, enjoyed it muchly. And your editing is outstanding as always. Thanks!!
Thanks for a great video and well done William. Some call it Scarecastle Tunnel but you knew that didn't you! Great vlog and hope you enjoy the Maccy.

Great vlog!!!!! William at the end…. You’re in for a lot of nonsense when he starts walking 🤣🤣good luck💜
Thank´s a lot for two Harecastles, everything seemed smooth. Like your mug too.

Great vlog and he stands..... Amazing.... It's about to get interesting 😉😉
Really enjoy your vids. William kills me, no hat, one sock, it's all good.
Good job, William! Celebrate those skills!
New to your channel. The hat pulling trick too funnyt! Really enjoyed the BMW to Volvo Transformation skit as well. Safe travels.
Missed your videos, been under the weather, cheered up watching your adventures again

Wow, William is now standing up. Great Vlog as always.

Love your new cup. William is so cute. I look forward to seeing what you are doing every week. Thanks for sharing.
Good job to you both. Freedom! Love the mug, thanks for the ride, see ya
You need to read Arnold Bennett’s Clayhanger trilogy which is about the five towns of the potteries
love the music on this video 👍🏼
You can moor opposite the pottery on the towpath side. I moored there this spring
Obviously I enjoyed the vlog and what a wonderful family you are. I must get one of your mugs. I am now in my late 70's and have never tasted peanut butter and I don't think I ever will...... sorry!!!! See you soon.
