Many Vloggers say that videos are very hard work, and so they are. However, I think William is going to thank you both for the time and effort you have put into YOUR videos. He will have a wonderful collection, to look at his childhood many years from now. So, you are not only entertaining us, but also, Willy when he grows up. He is such a star too!! Good luck, be happy and keep the videos coming, we look forward to them.
Oh lordy, my heart was in my mouth when you went through that fence, with the horses in it, it was a good job you held the rubber bit as it was an electric fence !
That was nice and I, for one, enjoy a misty view! Thank you!!! Undecided if the antics of a small child or the giggles of a parental unit who is chronically amused by their progeny is the most charming. It is a close thing which serves to double the entertainment. Thank you for THAT, as well!!!
Seeing England through your vlog is great . I probably will never visit and certainly could not see all of it if I did. I call these "Off the beaten path" trips. I would much rather visit rural villages than cities anytime. Although I love to visit all the lovely villages along the canals with you, I enjoy the shots of your life on the boat also. Thank you for sharing your life with me. I loved it all , and especially the end when William waved at me with both hands.
Thank you all, Jim & I really appreciate you taking us on your journey and sharing your vlog with us William is a beautiful and a blessing to see him growing up, many thanks once again 🙏✝️🙏🇨🇦
You really are exceptional for the way you manage to convey an atmosphere, like at the market. I wanted to be there. The editing of your videos is professional standard. There really isn't a frame that shouldn't be there. Keep up the good work; you are the highlight of some people's week! Precious footage of William at the end!
My impression of the Macclesfield Canal was that for much of the time it marks the difference between the landscapes of Cheshire and Derbyshire. To the north west, it's mainly dairy cattle, while up on the hills to the south east you have Peak District sheep. The folly tower on Mow Cop is a great landmark, but Mow rhymes with cow, not with the way you cut the grass!
You’re so right about realising what a valuable commodity water is when you live on a boat. And how you try and eek out every drop! Love your editing and music choices as always ❤
Lovely vlog. That walk to see the folly would be great spring time, you would behable to see the landscape clearer. It's still amazing viewseven in autumn and winter. I love the farmers markets you find along your mooring spots. William is growing fast, such a cute little boy. You are one beautiful family. 💚
Oh no. I have sailed past that ruin so many times and but have never walked up to it. After seeing you all doing it I have resolved to do it!! Great video, as always.
Love the history and geography lessons there is so much out there to see and so many places to go and you guys keep adding to the list. Keep up the good work.
Greetings from Kenya. Its great to watch you travelling through Staffordshire and now Cheshire. I used to live close to Macclesfield and then in Bollington where you will / have passed through. Keep up the great vlogs, I look forward to your next episodes as my daughters and young grandchildren both live there.
Guys I saw your friends walking up the hill on St Johns rd tonight the 28th about half 6. I was driving past. On my way home. Nearly stopped and said Holly The Cafe Boat lol. You need to move a few bridges down. The shop is closer and the Church House pub .Has just reopened for food .Haven't been but supposed to be good. I just think it is mad how you are near the back of my house. Followed you on RUclips for ages. It would be mad to meet you .Deleted loads of messages before ..Because you don't see them . I know you get loads and it is hard to keep up. Hope you see this one. All The Best👍
Thanks guys loved the Vlog. We love the 3 of you. Bill is so content. It’s so nice that you can all each other as a family in his early years as it goes by in the blink of an eye. Stay safe and keep enjoying your adventures we certainly do. Trevor & Linda xx
That was a great trip....I couldn't begin to walk that far to see it, so that makes it even more special. William is going to be running all over the boat before long. I can just hear him saying, "You can't catch me". Have a Blessed day.
Looks like you just got back down from Mow Cop to the canal before it got too dark. I suspect navigating those farmers foot paths given another half an hour with baby on board, would have been quite hazardous. Thanks for giving a different perspective of what would be a lovely warm mid June walk through the country side and a bleak November afternoon.
Have you considered using a filtration system that draws water from the canal and filters into tap water? My brother uses this system & never has to worry about water again - would come in handy for running the washing machine and extra baby bath times!
Ah, I've been watching a lot of these videos and wondered if such a thing existed. That's cool! I bet it's pretty expensive/takes up a lot of room on the boat, though. Particularly as canals and rivers are getting dirtier and dirtier.
Hi Vic Jo and William what an interesting video. Loved the scenery William must be getting heavy now!!!! The views were brilliant even though it was misty. Have great week 😊
Hi guys....glad to see ya all safe n well....we're up the erewash at the moment, lost diesel which broke me in half but you three put a smile on me face ....so glad to see Dan the Man....stop mucking about and start towing Holly😉👍😁x
What we do to save water with the washing machine is to save the final rinse water (about 24 litres and use it as the first water for the next wash. But always filter as much particles out as possible.
@@greenpedal370 I am told that canal water is very dirty. That it doesn't have regular inflows or outflows like a river. This means that the water used in narrowboats doesn't come from the canal. They have to fill up their water storage regularly at waterpoints, hence why every drop counts.
@@beautifully_wonderfullymade I'm not convinced. All canals flow to the sea and animals populate the water so it cannot be polluted. Maybe there is a bylaw that does not allow water to be extracted.
I loved the video. It was nice to see how great the landscape was. Hi william and mom and dad. Love youns videos. Take care and God bless. Thanks for sharing your life.
On a clear day up Mow Cop you can see Liverpool Cathedral, the Welsh Mountains, Manchester and even the likes of Winter Hill and the Wrekin are possible.
For info it's not mow as in mowing a lawn it's mow as in plough pronunciation wise. It's where I was born. Cheshire one side, foot hills to the pennines the other, Biddulph valley.
Interesting to see Mow Cop. That will be what the n'boat Mow Cop was called after. You live and learn. I hired it from Heritage Narrowboats, many years ago. Oh and, William you are a wee star x
Another great ‘day in the life of’ blog. If you follies ‘float your boat’ or press your ‘curiosity button’ there is a great book by Headly and Meulenkamp titled “ Follies: A guide to rogue architecture in England, Scotland, and Wales … it is a good read and a great guide
Mow Cop = Mhow Cop, there is no lawn to mow up there lol. When I were a lad with a CB Radio we used to travel up Mow Cop, attached 100 feet or electrical wire to our CB aerial therefore extending it's range, throw it over the edge and be able to talk to to people in America.
Try Bollington stop off...Nice village...Indian restaurant Viceroy..poachers pub opp. Also Windmill pub canal at Adlington area. Walk up White Nancy Hill folly at top in Bolly walk across top to Kerridge back onto canal. See if u see David dickenson lives edge of bolly !
It’s pronounced MoW (like plough) Great to see you stomping around my old village (Rode Heath) Interesting piece of history about mow cop. The zeppelins used it as a reference point on their bombing missions
I remember climbing halfway up a hill and turning back with you in one of your early vlogs. Think you were visiting Jo's mum and dad? There are lots of follies around the canals that I've seen. A popular statement to make if you wanted to impress your guests. I think we met Kat when you both moored your boats for an overnight sing along under the flight path, and something about a cabbage or cauliflower? What have we settled on, William, Will, or Bill? Take care you lot, are you sorted for winter? They've just given us a second winter instead of a summer. Thanks, and take care
Welcome to Cheshire! Hope you are planning to stick around for a bit! Surely you can't come to Cheshire without a visit to the Anderton Boat Lift?!! (when it's open) I'll look out for you if you do, as I live very close! Love your Vlogs keep them coming :)

William waved bye-bye to us! That was very special. Yeah, slow cooked food like your sausage casserole always tastes better the next day. I often leave it til the next day deliberately. Is William going to need a baby harness once he’s fully walking?
Used to do a lot of the craft fares, jamboree etc before we came to nz. Have the same kind of thing here, but less English. Miss the oldness of blighty sometimes. Understand the dump points with black water, but what happens to the grey water? Does that just go over board ? Grey water being washing water etc Living full time in an American caravan we have to dump gray and block at public dump points
Oh yes, banana stains on all my clothes and every single one of my daughter’s little singlets - amongst other things. I never knew that a banana could stain until I had a child. It was a whole new adventure in laundry...doing. Which translates as basically I just gave up, and a well positioned badge could hide a stain quite well 🤪 🙂🐿🌈❤️

The winter must be drawing in as William seems to have kept his socks on. Mow Cop, windswept and interesting. William waving at the end was hilarious.
That baby is stuck on adorable. He’s become the star of your vlog, in my book. Love, Deb
Oh lordy, my heart was in my mouth when you went through that fence, with the horses in it, it was a good job you held the rubber bit as it was an electric fence !
That ending was the best thing ever!! The way William looked at his hand with bemused wonder!! 😍😍😍
