  • This is by far the craziest maiden ever! This time the maiden is with the H-King Bixler 3 to include grass ops and post assembly. The assembly was straight forward with nothing special to note. I ended up using 100% throws over 30% expo on all control surfaces.
Follow the online manual and you will not have any issue. The maiden went ...well crazy due to the extreme wind.I was able to include grass ops which the plane handled fine.

That was awesome. I was pulling for this little guy to finally land. That was very entertaining, Greg

I ordered one last week, so glad to see you unbox and fly this one. I bought this as a 1st flaps and tailwheel plane so I will install the flaps (for calm days/gliding). Those plastic wing bits you mentioned during the unbox video are the hinges for the flaps. No need to install if you are not going to use the flaps. I'll never fly it in wind like that, but it was great to see it can be done - WITH SKILLS LIKE YOURS! Another great video- thanks for sharing this crazy experience.

Thanks, yes no need to install but I did to stiffen the flap since it is only held in place in the hinge and one side.

A very brave man to do a maiden flight in that wind, that would have been to hectic for me to fly, well done for getting her back in one piece.
