  • *** NOTICE: As of April 23, 2023, this channel has been re-branded to "A.Y. Hawk". This new name will help lay the foundations for the new future instructional animations which are currently in progress. Pin-up art will no longer be the main focus here. Things will look a bit out of place here as this brand is being built. Thank you for support.
    Here's the finished instructional animation on how to disassemble and reassemble a Glock 20. I created everything you see in this video (modeling, materials & lighting, rigging, animation, etc.) except of course for the G20's design and Glock's logo.

    Notes and replies to frequent comments:
    1) I made this as an animation student back in 2009--I would have written the script differently knowing what I know now
    2) These instructions apply to ALL Glocks, not only the G20
    3) Thank you for spending almost 4 minutes of your time here!

    As a newbie when it comes to glocks (and handguns in general) this is the best disassemble video I've seen yet. Looks like something that was made just the other day but it's actually from 2009. Now it's time to clean this newly bought glock of mine!

    • @FireDramine7
      @FireDramine7 3 года назад +3

      what glock'd you get?
      also I can confirm this video is well made. Mad respect for a video from 2009. Only the dry firing info was wrong. It's only really damaging for rimfire guns because their pins have to hit softer metals so they are more prone to damage and cause misfire. Any other, especially newer gun will not get damaged any bit by dry firing.

    • @DavidLLambertmobile
      @DavidLLambertmobile 3 года назад +3

      Glocks are not hard to clean or service. The main points are where the barrel contacts the slide. A dab of CLP or oil on the sear. Do NOT 🚫 put solvents or oil all over firing pin, hole area. Using lead free ammunition reduces cleaning & is safer for the 🌍. To add a light coat of CLP or gun oil prior to any range use, practice is a smart idea. It will allow the Glock to work smooth & it will speed up any cleaning. If the Glock & ammunition gets wet, under water. Throw it out, 🗑. Clean & oil your Glock then get brand new ammunition.

    Yeah if it's a 100 year old revolver

    Another tip if you are having trouble getting the slide back on any gen 4 Glock DO NOT force it. You gotta push that lil button on the back of the slide and push the firing pin forward or it won’t go back on . To fix this from happening next time you take it apart , point your gen 4 Glock downwards when removing the upper (slide)

      Thank you! I actually can't believe people are still watching this after all this time. I threw it on YT just to get it out there back then.

    this is a great animation. i would like to see a similar animation on the complete disassembly of a glock (including removal of the trigger group).

    Nice work. Instructional animations are very nice because lighting is always perfect- something that's hard to do with a camera.
