Inayah Daneen yeah I agree, there’s nothing wrong with creating content for a specific group, whatever the group may be. Sure she is pretty and all, but the content she is making has nothing to do with her looks, not directly at least, so comments praising her looks are not relevant to this channel. That’s why I don’t see the point in all the complaining, if you find the content is relevant to you, just apply it. No need for all this ‘snowflakism’.

I liked the way you compared outbreaks of emotions to our upbringing. I absolutely agree with this, most of the behaviourial issues individuals face is the reflection of their subconscious mind.
The subconscious mind is a library/storage of all the information and believes (as a result of our past experience) accumulated throughout our lives. Information only becomes part of the subconscious mind when its associated with strong emotions.
Instead of controlling your behaviour outbreaks at a particular point of time, which is extremely difficult, feed your subconscious mind with only positive information (make sure to associate strong emotions with it) and this would naturally improve your EI.

Very concise video. I liked the first strategy the most. It is not easy to identify the energy state. Under high intensity negative emotions people fail to understand the feelings and effect it has on the body. I think one needs to develop the habit by being mindful and aware of present moment. I liked one point the most. "There is no such thing as Good or Bad emotions. There can only be Good or Bad reactions". Your initiative to help women professionals is commendable and is the need of the hour. I wish you a lot of success!

  • @amberstark8469
    @amberstark8469 3 года назад +1

This is wonderfully concise. I had a realization about myself. I realize that I have thought of any high intensity emotion as a negative thing and so as I begin to feel excitement or ecstasy, it almost instantaneously morphs over to fear or anxiety (occasionally anger, but not too often.) and then I really feel happy when I’m in a low intensity state so I generally just associate that with those calm serene feelings. You have opened the door for me to explore why I may feel this way. This is something for me to think about.

I am a 49 year old male diagnosed with ADHD three years ago. I’ve been on a journey of self-awareness since then and have learned just how impaired emotional regulation can be in people with ADHD. Emotional dysregulation is not very well understood yet by science, and is not covered well in mainstream ADHD resources, unfortunately.
In retrospect, my entire life has been impacted by my emotional dysregulation. Despite my handicaps, I’ve been able to be successful at work and have become a top performer. However, my stress and anxiety levels rose exponentially and I began having depression episodes along with other health consequences.
Then I happened upon an emotional intelligence class at work two years ago. What I learned there became the key that allowed me to start regulating my emotions and living more in the moment. In short, I did everything you covered in this video, and it’s been an incredible transformation for me!
I’ve been trying to share with others how what I’ve learned about EQ can be applied by neurotypical people to improve their work performance and lives as well, but it’s been hard to effectively communicate these concepts. But then this video comes along and expertly communicates everything I’ve been trying to say all along, and it’s brilliantly succinct!
Thank you so much for this video. I will be sharing it as much as I can and I hope it will improve the live of many people, both in and out of your target audience.

Thank you for sharing your story and kudos for having the will and resilience to overcome ADHD especially in adulthood. 🙏🏽 I absolutely love hearing from real people that thrive after applying emotional intelligence. Yes Yes understanding emotional dysregulation is still in its infancy (In the limited time that I looked I didn't find that much published research out there). Please continue encouraging others and very thankful for you sharing the message in this video. With all the positive comments from men in corporate too, my husband and I are realizing that we need to accomodate a wider our audience - everyone can benefit from this.

Positive reactions is attractive while the opposite is true for negative reactions. Compassion and empathy invites positive reactions while anger and hatred invites the opposite. If we can master the ability to remain calm and serene even in adverse situations we can be more effective in solving problems and gain respect and affection from others in the process.

    Quick question, (for anyone)
I've seen people use anger and aggression as a motivation for doing things, and they succeed at them.
Is it healthy to be so determined and resolved, to the point where you'll get mad at just about anyone who you feel is a threat to your aspirations

Thanks for the question Deux. Absolutely, anger and aggression can be channeled in a positive way. For example, it can be a catalyst for someone to take action or to change their life. But one must be careful not let anger and aggression become their main driver because that can lead to serious emotional problems or allow one to be controlled by their ego. It is more constructive to learn how to channel negative high intensity emotions towards positive high intensity emotions. We have a choice of how we react to others while still staying true to our purpose.

I like how you simplified the process of EQ, and your right; IQ can get you the position you desire in the Organisation; however, EQ allows you to not only retain the work but also get you promoted/ higher rank. Rest is base on luck...
Like how you break up the process of what Emotions are, a pure form of data, check what is means and where it come drom..using our emotional radars. Absolutely fabulous.
    Thanks.
