I have the BB58 and use it all the time for fishing, field work, hiking, exploration work hunting and farming. It is very versitile and it is essential it can go down to 200 meters when I bring it to holiday trips and diving.
Love my 58. Owned for 3 years without any issues. Accurate, durable and beautiful. Worth the money. Had mine on a nato for the last year. So comfortable, doubt I will ever go back to the bracelet.
The feel of the Black Bay 58 is so hard to describe. The bezel action is crisp and it's incredibly refined for a dive watch. Looks fantastic on that bracelet.
The 58 is so well made and perfectly proportioned for a sports watch. It borrows from classic Tudors and Rolex without being a slave to an exact copy . It really is it’s own thing. The gilt bezel gives the 58 a warm feel, the red triangle offers a pop of color paying homage to the Rolex Big Crown, the chunky coin edge crown is so satisfying to wind with a refined matching coin edge bezel and I love the snow flake seconds hand. Owned my BB58 OG black for 3 years and it is one of my fav watches in my collection.
I’ve owned/own Rolex, omega, Breitling etc. Have owned 4 Tudors - currently have a blue BB58 and the silver case BB58. Never had a problem with any of my tudors. The BB58 is a wonderful watch IMO. Design, history, quality, VFM all top notch.
I have owned my Black Bay 58 for about 4 years now and I still love it. Great size, finishing, accuracy, classic looks. It is still one of my favorites.
@@alfieakaronaldogThe bracelet is hardly rubbish. Are there better? Yes, but it’s really just missing the on the fly adjustment which I’m sure they will be adding with a refresh as other models have them already.

A couple of years and a bunch more watches later their value dropped as the craze went and availability came, but they still hold a special place in my collection and in my heart, could not agree more with the conclusion.
One of my dream watches is the Tudor Black Bay 58 dark dial and vintage yellow hands and markers. The only thing anoyes me it´s there is no on the flight adjustement. Nice to see your face Peter, greetings from Spain, I agree with you this blue version needs blue luminova!
I’ve had my blue variant for almost 2 years now & it’s been an outstanding watch. It’s incredibly accurate! I wear it every day; the only time I don’t wear it is doing yard work or working on my car. It’s only stopped once in 2 years, and that’s when I ran it out to test the power reserve!
I have both the Blue and Black versions and agree 100% about the wearability if the case. I recently added Steel Reef extension links to the bracelet and that solved my problem with 'on-the-fly' adjustments. How I wish Rolex would offer the Submariner in this perfect size as an option.
Agree with you on Tudor. I don’t have a 58, but you’d have to pry my pelagos 39 out of my cold, dead hands. The quality is absolutely superb on their pieces.
I also love my BB58 Navy. Had the same issue with the bracelet and tried a few aftermarket options until Uncle Seiko released a 1/2 link that matches the OEM bracelet. Completely solved my fitment problem and I would highly recommend.
Great video, I bought the Tudor Ranger when it came out as it has the BB58 movement. To be honest out of all the watches I have, and I have way too many, the Tudor is the one I enjoy wearing the most, it just makes me smile every time I look at it, and I feel it is great value for money
That's beautiful watch, Pete 😊 The most important thing is that You love the watch. It is nice to hear others opinion but your opinion is the most important. We are buying and wearing watches for ourselves, not to impress somebody ❤ Ps. Sorry about my English, I'm from Croatia. Cheers Pete
Bought my bb58 last year as my 1st (aside from watches gifted to me 20yrs ago when I was a kid). Had a time thinking between bb chrono which is also looks great and a hard to get by that time but there's something in the 58 that draws me back to it. I just thought that if I ever buy the chrono chances are I'm going to get the 58 sooner or later so I saved myself some money for maybe a while (hopefully). I think for me looking simple makes it perfect for most use and I like that it doesn't get too much attention as well.
Long-term reflections from knowledgeable collectors are actually about the most valuable and regrettably quite rare. In the fast moving world of watch releases, especially among microbrands and the many limited runs or preorder phases, there barely is any time for reflection. For me, it would be great to see more of this, including the microbrands. Which ones are keepers and why? How do they stack up against the barrage of new releases? How much joy do they give within a diverse collection or against the pressure of renewing or trying something else? This Tudor, as I understand it, is already a member of a longer lineage of related models. In that sense it might have previously proven its worth. Except for the frequent reference to the acronym BB58 I'm delightfully unaware of the hype or what it consists of. This and actually most Tudor watches that I see come by, just do very little to excite me or connect with me. I find this generally applies to Rolex tool watches too. Perhaps it is because they stay so close to the cocktail of elements that made the brands famous and then many others started following, so it just doesn't grab me among the crowd, or where this series is concerned, because ultimately I'm not that into dive watches unless they become quite dressy and elegant and possibly a tad quirky, in other words a very untoolish dive watch. Yet, I can appreciate how refined and honed the crafting of this watch is, and for those with that preference, i can imagine it serves them very well indeed. Excellent accuracy is just not something I particularly seek or expect from a mechanical watch (price dependent). I just don't expect it to be off by a full minute after five days' wear. That's why I do appreciate some regulation or slightly higher grade movements than the most basic automatics, but find it hard to justify paying much more for the marginal gains thereafter.
That Seiko SLA043 has got to be one of the most charismatic and beautiful divers I’ve seen in a good few years. Something about Seiko divers man , they seem to have a Soul and spark about them that you just can’t feel with any other brand ever!
I picked up one of these recently, and I love it! It’s my first watch at this price point and is such a leap forward in so many ways compared to my SPB237 and 143. It really feels like it’s MY watch.
I love that the video focuses more on how the watch makes you feel compared to raw specs! What strap is it on when you are holding it your hand please?
I’ve owned my bb58 since may 2021. Since then, I’ve played volleyball with it, went swimming with it, I’ve handled oscillating saws with it, I use it in the gym, etc etc etc. I take it to the hospital and basically everywhere, is still ticking perfectly and it’s still extremely accurate. Not a single scratch on the cristal, no real flex on the bracelet. A true sports watch. The only negative aspect about the watch, at least for me, is the lack of on the fly micro adjustment on the clasp. Great video 👍🏽
Cheers Peter- always enjoy your thoughts and views. I have had my BB58 for around 12 months now and love it. Not sure Tudor could ever be described as trash, for the price point they're extremely hard to beat.
Was one of the lucky first few to get a 58 at the very end of ‘18. Sold my BB41 in favour of the 58 after trying the very first one the AD got in. Knew I was in trouble, it just wore so nicely compared to the slab like BB41. It’s been STELLAR, no regrets. Probably due for a service soon, will cross that bridge when I get there. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I have a BB36 and a BBB/B, and they are both excellent, the bronze is under a second a day. I like the C3 against the blue BB36 dial, the blue/green combo is gorgeous. Cheers-

I exchanged by beloved blue bezel Tudor Black 41mm smiley dial for this exact watch and I couldn't be happier. It's a phenomenal piece. That cobalt blue resonates with me like no other watch.
You might be on to something, Pete! Every time I wind my BB GMT, I am amazed at how smooth and silky the feeling is as I wind it. My Rolex is really good, but not that good. With a 21 cm wrist, my GMT fits me well and is my daily. I added the Steel Reef adjustment link and life is good. You definitely have a keeper!
I still think the blue on the BB58 is one of the most attractive. No watch is absolutely perfect. And, I don't think Tudor is rubbish. However, as a whole kind of over-hyped these days, still. Almost a given common recommendation for a high quality Swiss dive watch for around $3-4k. But, I suppose for good reason. They have solid offerings in two of their most popular model lines, the BB's and Pelagos, that do and offer what they do very well and for reasonable price. I know I was very happy with my BB58 Bronze. Definitely, buy what you like and enjoy your watches.
I got my 58 in 2020 and it is one of my favourite pieces, excellent. That and my gs sbga415 are my, I have to own watches. As soon as I first set eyes on them they were a must have. Both forever keepers for me.
My top 2 watches are my black 58 and a SBGA283. Great two watch collection. You have the class and technology with the spring drive and the rugged tool watch with the Tudor that can also be dressed up.
Tudor are brilliant watches. They have been able to make a range of watches, from the ground up, which really work in everyway. They can be flexible. Other manufacturers are frozen in time, because their past successes stop development.
Great review, I've got a BB 41, I bought it in 2019 just before the hype train kicked off and it was great, but then they appeared everywhere and put me off the watch and it didn't get much wrist time, fast forward to the end of 2023 and I started wearing it again, because the hype has died down, have they over hyped the BB models over the years, yea probably, but for me it's still a quality watch which I own and have started enjoying again... all the best Pete...
Thank you for sharing your long-term experiences. I always found the Black Bay 58 to be a bit boring and middle-of-the-road. The thing I have been missing is to experience the watch, wear it and be able to take a close look, maybe that could change my impression.
I have no idea what Omega that was in the opening footage but what a watch! As for the BB58 I think it really is a watch for passionate people. Those who love watches. Those who want a symbol of success without the negative stigma attached to Rolex. I would gladly add one to my collection.
Glad you're enjoying it. Because I'm not a dive watch kind of guy, and because I tend to gravitate to less "hyped" watches in general (I prefer to wear something different), I'd pass on this one, but to each their own. I'm still rocking my SAR Rescue Timer on the bracelet, btw. I know that one fell out of favor with you, but calling a good watch for what it is and how it holds up after a year on the wrist is always a good testament. Enjoy your Tudor, and keep the videos coming!
I really like the snowflake hands on the Tudors'. That creates extra real estate for the lume material to reside in, as well helping them jump off the dial and be easier to pick up, in my opinion. I am looking to get into my first one, and cannot decide yet between the Pelagos, Black Bay Pro, or the Ranger, even though it has different hands.
I‘m sitting in Delhi now, wearing my SLA043, and smiling while watching this video. Tried on a Pelagos 39 in Zurich en route-impressive watch but I felt nothing.
Wow... What bracelet is that... Doesn't look like the factory it doesn't have the rivets... I love it... And I just recently obtained this watch... And it amazing... I will never get rid of it... It will be the watch I pass down to my children... Stay blessed
Hi Peter, fantastic video! Love the daylight shots because you can really see the beautiful details. One question. Would you recommend me to get the Tudor BB41 Burgundy METAS, Tudor BB54 or Tudor BB58 Blue? I have 6,25 inch wrists. Really love the new T-fit and tougher looking bezel and crown on the 54 and 41 compared to the 58. I currently wear the Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M and love the on the fly adjustment in the clasp. Thanks!
Absolutely agree. My wish is a smaller BB54 and I'll probably get it in the next year or two. It's a great brand that holds its value and does absolutely everything regarding style, versatility and function. Was looking at Baltic or Lorier, but now that I have a microbrand, I'm saving for the real deal. Thank you again Pete, you style in watches is inspirational.
Pete, if you ever come by the UK, hope you do a meet and greet :) Always great reviews, no gimmick, no BS and purely for the passion of horology and mostly on watches that are more affordable to the regular folk as they say in the US. We need to figure out a way to boost our audience and subscribers. You should have over 100k by now, I know you don't chase those numbers but I think it's deserved. Maybe a collab, seems to be the thing to do now :)
Hi Alex, Im not chasing anything and on that note, don't like being chased 😊😂 100K subs or 100 subs...its all the same. Quality over quantity 👍 Cheers brother
Beautiful piece - looks great on a cloudy day! When the blue first came out I wasn't sure but it has definitely grown on me over time from afar. Anything with a vintage warmth always gets my attention and the BB58 has it in abundance. Nice video chief.
I also have many watches that are highly coveted and many multiples of value. The BB58s value to me, the quality, the looks, it hits far above its weight for wrist time.
I am surprised at how many looks I get when the BB58 is on the wrist lately (especially when i wear it on bracelet for some reason) Cheers James, thanks for sharing bro
It’s a stunner on that bracelet mate, I could definitely put up with no half links for that perfect fit 😂 Good to see your smiling face, it definitely makes for a better review video and personalises the whole experience that much more. Good to see you followed your heart and not your head with holding onto the watch, collecting is such a personal thing, there is no right or wrong collection 👍
Very good video and well explained. I'm not interested in other people's opinions on my watch collection either. I also bought the same Black Bay and I can confirm your arguments 100%! I actually like the original riveted bracelet and I'm going to get a nice blue NATO strap. The build quality of the Tudor is really very good and the accuracy of the 70h movement is very precise. Why do you need a spring drive movement again ;-) Thanks again and good work Sir.
Ive got the s and g version in 41mm and its so accurate. Its also grown on me more over time. As you know Peter I love the sla043 as much as you do , but I wish that had came with a bracelet. Considering both watches cost about the same new in the uk, I feel the tudor is probably better value. That said the 043 just makes me smile every time I look at her , so the seiko takes it for me . But the bb is better value overall. Its a hard life , with all these 1st World problems !!! Lol.
Owned it for 4 years, went through highs and lows with it perception wise.... but really I never get disappointed everytime I wear it. Only 1 thing I dislike is the square-ish clasp blade end. Call me snobby but I have really gotten used to the rounded and flush ones with modern Rolex.
Wow congrats on 50k subs mate, I started watching your videos 3 years ago and they only keep getting better. Seeing your mug bow adds a personal touch too lol. This watch is now back on the grail list. Thanks for making me spend more money lol.
Wonderful review Peter, thank you for that. Can I ask you what metal strap you are wearing on the Tudor, because that's not the original is it? Have a wonderful day!

not a chance in hell you would be wearing this even at 100m. YOu would be suing a dive computer

Far removed from Hunk status 😂😂

Sold mine after close to 3 yrs of ownership and don’t really miss it. I wanted to love it but just couldn’t connect with it emotionally.
Thats fair enough JP...you're not the first person who has experienced that with this watch thats for sure 👍👍
Steel reef adjustable half link is a game changer for the Tudor bracelet.

The BB58s still regularly go out of stock at my Rolex/Patek AD. I had to wait a few weeks to get one
nice to see you in the flesh. Love your content
Much appreciated Eric, cheers
I have no idea what Omega that was in the opening footage but what a watch! As for the BB58 I think it really is a watch for passionate people. Those who love watches. Those who want a symbol of success without the negative stigma attached to Rolex. I would gladly add one to my collection.
Indeed, such a pretty omega. Also, I wholeheartedly agree about Tudor having a special place because of not being Rolex.
I´d like to know about that Omega, too.
Hey fellas, that is the Deville coaxial GMT from the 2000’s on a brick road bracelet 4533.40.00
@@eddyc1738 Thanks ! That’s quite some bracelet.
thank you. Brick road bracelet I now must have … @@eddyc1738
Hey Michael, Im not sure if I fell out of favour with the SAR...I have thought about re acquiring it many times...so the verdict is not out brother 😊👍
Knowing you and your wrist size, I think the Pelagos would suit you beautifully bro
Just follow your heart and your budget...a great quote👏
That's how I do it and its worked out well so far (but sometimes I stop listening and my little man becomes an idiot..haha)
You can find the bracelet in this review..

Thanks brother. I think you will love the BB54, even better fit than this
Amazing watch wearing it everywhere, gym, swimming even sauna had no problem for a year and a half. Strong and classical look 💪👌
Tudor are great, love the black bay, would go for pelagos 39 though, and hopefully not scratch the titanium.
Hi Alex, Im not chasing anything and on that note, don't like being chased 😊😂
100K subs or 100 subs...its all the same. Quality over quantity 👍
Cheers brother
I have the black one and it’s the only watch that I want the same version but in blue - no other watch do I want in two colors
Beautiful piece - looks great on a cloudy day! When the blue first came out I wasn't sure but it has definitely grown on me over time from afar. Anything with a vintage warmth always gets my attention and the BB58 has it in abundance. Nice video chief.
Thank you! Cheers!
I enjoy your videos. I was hoping you would share where the blue deployant fabric strap is from.

Thank you!
I also have many watches that are highly coveted and many multiples of value.
The BB58s value to me, the quality, the looks, it hits far above its weight for wrist time.
The Pelagos has both toolless micro adjustment and blue lume.
100% agree. I have the same BB58 Blue and it is a watch that surpasses the hype.
I am surprised at how many looks I get when the BB58 is on the wrist lately (especially when i wear it on bracelet for some reason)
Cheers James, thanks for sharing bro
Honestly my Tudor and my Hamilton are the best two watches in my collection as far as accuracy and quality.
Sometimes a watch hits the sweet spot. For me it's my Omega GMT 50th Anniversary. My Sinn 104 and Glycine GMT are close behind.
It’s a stunner on that bracelet mate, I could definitely put up with no half links for that perfect fit 😂
Good to see your smiling face, it definitely makes for a better review video and personalises the whole experience that much more.
Good to see you followed your heart and not your head with holding onto the watch, collecting is such a personal thing, there is no right or wrong collection 👍
Love you brother, great talking with you today. 👍💪
That’s a beauty Pete. So glad you had it repaired and are keeping it. Thanks for another terrific video. 👊🏻
Lol.
Correct, well said Martin, first world problems...😊
Owned it for 4 years, went through highs and lows with it perception wise.... but really I never get disappointed everytime I wear it. Only 1 thing I dislike is the square-ish clasp blade end. Call me snobby but I have really gotten used to the rounded and flush ones with modern Rolex.
Great review, Pete, im still enjoying my bb58, after three years, 👍
Good to hear David 💪
Lovely video, Peter. Nice to see you. That's a gorgeous watch you've got.
Thank you kindly David 👍
Great update on your Tudor journey!
USD 2,500 for a 1 yr old piece, it's a steal!❤
Nice to see Grand Seiko popping up again 😊
Wow congrats on 50k subs mate, I started watching your videos 3 years ago and they only keep getting better. Seeing your mug bow adds a personal touch too lol. This watch is now back on the grail list. Thanks for making me spend more money lol.
Hahaha...Im sorrym thats the best I can say😊😂
I absolutley love it on that what rubber strap !!!!
I’ve its GMT brother, best looking of all my watches. Most worn daily wearer.
I own the blue BB58. The one which always finds itself in my wrist.
Wonderful review Peter, thank you for that.
Can I ask you what metal strap you are wearing on the Tudor, because that's not the original is it? Have a wonderful day!
Its in the description bro..

I thought it was just me, why did they use green Lume instead of blue on the BB 41 you would of thought blue would of be more suitable.
