Tough... I'm probably most excited for Sovereign... But I'm looking at my list of games that are still incoming... And that's a tough pick. Corps of Discovery and Veiled Fate + Tribunal and The Dark Quarter and Odalin are probably close 2nds.
Right now I'm most excited about Old King's Crown. The discord community is super strong and it's great seeing the results of the playtests and the new art reveals. As for ones arriving soon I'm probably most excited about Through the Ice and Snow which has been a long time waiting and the new Tokyo Highway + Expansion as it looks really different from anything in my collection. The 2 upcoming campaigns I'm most excited about are Natera which I played at Origins and fell in love with and Speakeasy which is likely to be my favorite Vital Lacerda theme of all time.
I can’t wait to learn more about our Speakeasy, I haven’t seen too much about Natera so you’ve peaked my curiosity there too! Old King’s Crown looks like such a gorgeous game! I’m excited to hear that there’s such a vibrant community behind it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Always happy to hear from you :)
I'm trying my hardest to maintain excitement for Merchant's Cove - Master Craft edition. Backed it in Sept 2022 with an estimated Sept 2023 delivery but they're still working on it. Current expectations are a November 2024 delivery, so basically an early Christmas present! lol
Hey guys. Thanks for the overview as always. I don't think that I would rush to get Norsemen even though it looks interesting. It might be a little bit too... I don't know... dry? for me. I just like cute designs or distinct characters better. Funnily enough the crowdfunding campaign I'm most interested in at the moment is a very abstract game called Northwest. It is a puzzly coffee table piece. But I have to admit that I'm not too invested in crowdfunding since I don't have a credit card to back any projects and from a designer's point of view I want to go the more "classical" route of pitching and licensing to publishers. However... I think I definitely would try Norsemen if I had the chance.
Luckily there’s so many games, and we can be picky with our tastes :) I haven’t heard of Northwest, will take a look into it! Thank you as always for all your support friend.
excited about "Root The New Expansion" coming soon :) Nice run-through. it is on my watch list (I am a sucker for anything VIKING...ps LOVE Knarr). Also I played PIXIES at GenCon and LOVED IT but it's not available anywhere yet and I can't find any news on it. PLEASE HELP. Keep up the wonderful work :)
AH I hope you're able to find Pixies soon! I will keep you posted if I see anything, I know its available in Canada now. The new Root expansion will be so interesting! I cant wait to see what the new factions add.
Question of the Day: What crowdfunding project are you most excited about? Is it an upcoming project, one that's almost delivered?
My first backed game is coming in September - Mycelia by Splitstone Games!
@@Jnepomuc89 how exciting! Hope you love it!
We are signed up to get Apothobakery looking forward to that one.
