You said that it wasn't easy, and that's true. So instead of making a film, we mostly just talked about cool ideas for something that could happen. Fast forward to 2019, I made a Spider-Man Stealth Suit for Comic-con, and you had asked me if I was still considering possibly making a fan film and I said "Idk man.. it's really hard. And no one wants to be the cameraman" We talked a lot more and eventually became mutual friends, just casually talking about Spider-Man stuff. Fast forward more to 2020, I made a short Star Wars fan film for Drama class at school, and it surprisingly took off well (considering the amount of subscribers I had at the time, which was like 80). I received positive feedback, and my Dad said we should make another because he saw the awesome feedback it had gotten. I agreed, but I said, "Hey, I've wanted to make a Spider-Man fan film since like 2018, so maybe we should to that instead!", and my Dad agreed, and so we did. After Spider-Man: Stealth Mission took off, my friends and family started to release how passionate I really was about film making, and I thank them a lot for helping me every step of the way to make the films possible. And look where we are now. Whilst I was in the middle of making Stealth Mission, I came back to you and told you that I was finally working on one, and you were pumped, and I just wanted to know if you wanted to make an appearance for fun, and to my surprise, you said yes! And that, led to a whole community that wanted more of that, so we talked, and decided to actually make a team up film, and it's finally a reality. And boom, just like that, the movie Spider-Man: Dimension Rift will be out within a couple of weeks or so. - I had a passion for film making before I watched your fan films, but I got inspired to make SPIDER-MAN fan films because of yours. Spider-Man: Homecoming inspired you, you inspired me (and others), and I inspired more. The cycle continues. So thank you Lucas for shining a bright light on the fan film community since 2018, and thank you for also being one of my best, closest, and most supporting friends that I have. Yes, there are a lot of references in your films, but being a young film maker? Sometimes it's impossible to be completely original when making a Spider-Man fan film. I mean, the MCU Spider-Man movies take inspiration from other film makers work too. It's not stealing, it's more of an appreciation of that part of the film, and you like it so much that it's hard not to use in your own film. :)
