True, but they made a great job with all the settings. I mean they had to cover all the story lines in advance before the sets were there. Are you planning on making more Alpha Team? 🙌 @@StudframeAnimations
@@talos.fractal_author I am planning to do a video on every special agent of the game, featuring their special equipment. But it's a lot of work, researching the build, thinking of a puzzle, animating everything... So in short, yes but not any time soon. 😋
Lego Alpha Team deserves a remake. No changes (except any bug fixes, I remember having issues on the final level, even when the computer placed the offending piece for me) and keep the music, etc. etc.
This gave me a big smile even though I've never played the game. As well as being (of course!) very well done and looking true to the gameplay I have seen of this, it feels very reminiscent of some of some in browser puzzle games I played as a kid
This hits me with soo much nostalgia. You did an excellent job with the models and hearing all the different background songs hit me like a (lego) truck. I love the look of everything but that turbo tube shooter (if that's the proper name, Im not sure) looks incredible. Also really liked the inclusion of that camera angle just behind Ogel.
Thank you so much! You picked up on all the details. It was a lot of fun to make, but really time consuming. But I would like to create a video about every specialist. So Crunch will be next, when I have the time. 😜
@@StudframeAnimations Oh I would definitely love to see videos of the other specialist' machines! Also I noticed you basically made your own level here in this video. I kinda recognize the template you used for the base level but you added machines that weren't introduced until much later in the game, which is awesome. Definitely excited to see how such a level would come together for the other specialists, since some of their stuff gets pretty complex and intertwined later on (like how some of the rope mechanics need to be activated by lasers or generators). Anyway sorry for the rambling, once again great work!
@@MannyBoy96 Hahah no worries, I love talking about these games. Actually creating the puzzle is what takes the most time. I had this idea early on to create levels using all of the specialist machines in his/her respected video. The key is to keep it as simple as possible. Not only to keep my sanity in check while making it, but also so it’s visually clear what’s going on. So when it’s time for the videos of Nadia and Flex, I hope I have a plan in place. 😂
@@StudframeAnimations Ah yeah, I can imagine making an interesting puzzle that works is the hardest part, especially when you get the later machines involved. I remember from back in the day that I tried to solve a lot of the levels in unconventional ways, or that I tried to get the characters in places they weren't supposed to reach. Just having all those later machines to work with opened up a ton of possibilities. I think the levels after you unlock Charge's tools and later Cam's made me experiment the most. All that to say that, yes I think keeping it as simple as possible is a good call
@@MannyBoy96 After you unlock Charge, things start to get complicated really fast. You can have a lot of fun with the gravity machine (not sure what the name was). But you reach the top of a lot of maps if you angle it just right. Lots of fun to play with! 😂
THIS WAS AMAZING! It captured the spirit and exact (almost, except for the building the equipment part lol) gameplay loop of the original game! I love it! 😹
I don't know about you but I found the character models in this game to be a bit somewhat.....uncanny. Like the way how they moved its like they're made of rubber especially with their arms its like they were spaghetti. I know in Lego games (and animated series) the character models have always been a bit more rubbery so they can move in ways a real minifig cannot but they always still had a level of stiffness to them. But this game its like they were 100% rubber which made them feel off to me.
@@robonaught Yeah the way they’ve been rigged could have been different. They did make LOT of animations for the characters. Maybe they had to take some shortcuts like that to make it happen.
Nicely done! I love the Alpha Team theme and I own the Alpha Team game on PC (found it a thrift store a while ago) but I never got around to playing it for myself. Would you happen to know of a good video that demonstrates all of the features you replicated here in the original game so that I can see what the original looked like?
Awesome to hear! In this video I demonstrated the movement items. Those are kinda early in the game. So you could take a look at a walkthrough video and look at the first couple of levels. But why don't you play it yourself? It's still good fun! 😁
@@StudframeAnimations thanks for the recommendation. I may try to see if I can figure out how to get the game working on my modern Windows 11 machine...
@@LM-1378 There is a detailed guide to make the game work on modern machines. If you Google "alpha team windows 11" then you'll find it. Hope that helps! 😁
This is so excellent!!

Simply great! Underappreciated Theme. Love the Game and its atmosphere.
Thank you! I agree with the theme. I just wish that the game and the sets had some overlap.

Man, this takes me back...I miss Alpha Team.
It's still fun to play to this day. If you still have the CD, give it a try. 😃
It can actually work rather solidly on modern machines! My favourite Lego game easily
