    Sweet review Steven! I just wanted to add that there are two versions of the Evolve Cam, the SE (small evolve) and the EC (evolve cam which is what was used on the original Evolve Bows.) Also, in the evoke 35 the EC model is the long draw version with 1/8 inch longer brace height and is reported to be 7fps slower that the SE model. In the US the solid colors are $50 less expensive than the new color fusion cammo finishes. A new bow review from you on a Sunday morning is great way to start the day! Thank you! 👍

    Sorry, i'm watching some of your older videos and had to laugh at your mention of the old PSE. I have a PSE Excalibur I bought for $25 in 1987 that is still in serviceable condition. I dug it out of the closet when I retired from the USAF and decided to start shooting again now that I don't travel. The local archery shop was shocked at the age but assured me it was fine to shoot. AMAZING. I shot it for a year, immediately got the BUG BAD for archery and upgraded multiple times. I love shooting, wish I could compete more, but love the recreation of it and keeping up with the competitors and enjoy your videos immensely. You are very easy to understand are very open in your discussions and cover a myriad of topics. If I ever make it back to AU, I'll visit....very unlikely, but hey.

    After reviewing the Revol how do you feel about both bows in comparison? It’s a very hard choice which is only made more difficult by the release of the Ritual 35 as well as the Revol XL. Thank you for the awesome long videos, it helps explain so much more to us consumers.

    I derailed my pse last year (whoops!) And I got M.E cams made to order and shipped to my (not local but favourite) shop in UK in 12 weeks for under 90bux .
    After watching multiple reviews by various store owners such as yourself, you guys all seem to be impressed with the company. Pse appear to be great to work with from the dealer down to the second hand owners. A rare thing in this world !

    How long did it take for your PSE bow shipment? Just curious. It takes a month or later to receive one after bow shop orders one. Thank you!

      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  5 лет назад

      So from the time PSE ship 7 days. Takes PSE 2days to do order. If bows need to be made 3 to 4 weeks. Can be longer for non standard bows.

      Archery Supplies Thank you for answering! My husband and I are your biggest fans. We enjoy watching your reviews. We both have an Evoke 31 ordered. His is 65 lb. and mine is 50 lb. Our local bow shop in USA said it would take a month or longer. I wanted to the time frame for International orders.

    For me the main selling point of this bow is the adjustability in draw length without the need to change the cams or even a bow press, which makes perfect choice for a beginner which isn't sure of the sizes which will fit him the best. The price point is nice and also the improvements in the finish over the Evolve. But the main drawbacks are asociated with the length: 35" is sometimes used in 3D but not that common in target, and most of the hunting bows nowadays are in the 30" to 33" ata range. For similar price and stats you can go either with the Halon X (which is heavier but well tested in tournaments) or the Supra Focus (again, with more background in competitive environments). I would like to see a Stealth in 37" or 38", because the hardest competitor for this bow would be probably the Prime CT5 and CT9 or the Mathews TRX 38. Those ones are clearly more expensive, but for people searching in the Stealth 35" price point they offer better stats towards target and 3D while keeping hunting aptitudes (the CT9 has the same weight as a Vertix). Again, this is a fantastic starting bow for buyers searching a flagship model at affordable price which mixes recreational shooting with hunting and competitive potentrial for tournaments. But for archers already secure about what settings they need I think that the Supra Focus, the Shootdown, the CT5 and CT9 or even the TRX are better deals.

    I recently got a Bear Cruzer X RTH from Dick's Sporting Goods. All the fidgeting and particulars in this video were not encountered in anyway with the Bear. It worked fantastically well from the get go, no fussing or tuning except for adjusting the sights to suit me. Eezy peezy.

    Can you do a test of both the evoke and Supra Focus with the different modules. I was going to get the Focus for target until I saw this review and now I'm thinking the Evoke might be worth considering as i prefer a bit of a valley.

    Can you do a review of the PSE Stinger Extreme 2019 model.
    Would be interesting to see how the new riser design effects groups compared to when you shot the older version.

    Prime equivalent bow, Logic CT5, is selling for $50.00 less in US for camo colors and $50.00 more for target colors.

    • @Buran01
      @Buran01 5 лет назад

      The problem with Prime is that their price outside NA is inusually high: happens both in Australia and in a lot or european countries. I think that the CT5 and CT9 are better bows, but in Spain and Itally they cost around 1300 €, which is ~150 € more expensive than a Mathews TRX 38, a Carbon Air Stealth 35" and as expensive as an Perform.

      @@Buran01 They probably loose on shipping price, Prime is not even close to quantity of PSE/Mathews.

    In my opinion PSE downgraded their bows this year, in best case they stayed the same.
    I started this year with PSE Expression and Evolve 35. I was looking to upgrade my Expression and I tried Perform X, Perform X 3D and Shootdown. Shootdown was in the lead till PSE released Supra Focus. I finally got my hands on Focus and I didn't like it, so I was gonna go with Shootdown. In meantime my local shop got new Prime Logic CT3, CT5 and CT9, I loved them. I'm proud owner of the new CT9, and if Prime releases long draw length CT5 it will be replacement for Evolve 35.
    I shot Evoke 35, and didn't see any reason to switch from Evolve 35. Bow was heavier, slower and harder to pull. I did like bit narrower grip on Evoke. My 39" ATA CT9 is lighter than Evoke 35.
    On Prime tuning, I set mine CT9 in 20 - 25 minutes. Arrow parallel to the riser and at the middle of the burger hole. Shot it thru the paper and had 1/4 left tear, made small adjustment to the rest and it shot bullet holes with Victory NVX27. I do agree that cams are hard to work on, there is not enough room for my big fingers between Prime parallel cams.

      @@vikingofengland Not a fan of new limbs from PSE (shorter and thicker), loved Evolve 35 and for longer bow Shootdown. Draw cycle is not same as last year bows with Evolve cams, bit harder in my opinion. I guess my point in all this is shoot as many bows as you can, I didn't even think of Prime when I started looking.

      I shoot a shootdown upgraded from Decree HD, never looked back. Got it set up in the shop and shooting bullet holes with both my acc and xbusters. Snappy shot nice weight in the hand, but one drawback is my cable guards got some problem as mine was one of the first batches from pse they didnt serve the cables, its showing some wear after 1/2 outdoor season and nearly a indoor season so far. But those cams oh man they are amazing

    • @Buran01
      @Buran01 5 лет назад

      Is more like a 35" version of the Evolve, which isn't a bad thing. Still, the competitive landscape with Mathews is a bit weird, because you have top archers using the TRX family, others the Halon X but also people breaking records with the Conquest 4, which is a really old model. Which shows that the archers matters more than the bow.
