Anyone else who lives in Mostar watching videos like these just to see how it looks like from the POV of someone visiting it from the first time??😭 Hope y'all had a great time!!
I’m happy to say that all non-Bosnian people I have so far seen make these videos about Bosnia have been really nice and charming people. I like to think that means only good people can be interested in my old country. 😊
This one brought back a lot of memories! I always said Mostar is best to be visited off-season, but when you stay longer, like you guys did, you get to enjoy the peace and quiet in the morning and evening as well. I honestly don't understand where's the fun in riding the bus to a destination, take 3 photos and leave after 2 hours to the next spot 🙄 Awesome video!
Yes! It was peaceful and wonderful then, a bit crowded with the tour buses in the day for sure! Lol. I think if you’re older or just want to see it without paying extra it could be cool… but after doing a cattle call bus tour with a few minutes in each spot… never again. I agree, it’s not worth it. 😂
Mostar is beautiful! I love the look of old town and its iconic bridge with the mountains in the background. Sad to see some of the town hasn't been rebuilt since the war. Pretending to jump but not actually jumping off the bridge looks like fun. LOL. Thank you for risking your lives to bring us quality content!
It was a really neat city!! Definitely worth a stop if/when you make it that way!! Hahaha those guys probably got some good laughs!! Thanks for watching! Hope all is well!! :D
Best couple on yt deff hehe, btw amazing vlog from 🇧🇦. I hope u guys enjoj your time there in heart of Balkans. U deserve more subs, wish u best of luck😊
Right out the gate, some amazing history! The street art is really cool, too.Wow, all of these views, and the giant shell holes in the buildings are crazy and all of the other war remnants you came up on are just heavy. Yikes, the lightning! Old Town (and everywhere in this video) is stunning!
Bosnia really had so much great history!!! Definitely wish we could have spent more time there!! It was very sobering being there… I think Sarajevo was even more intense because of their geography. Beautiful city and country though!! Thank you guys!! Hope you’re both doing well!!
Next time visit my hometown Brcko. Its the only district left in Europe. It is not part of the federation of Bosnia instead its is own governing city but still follows most federal laws plus its own that the rest does not such as every police car has to have two officers in it and one has to be muslim and the other Catholic. The muslim cop cant issue another muslim a ticket it has to be the opposite and vise versa to avoid conflict of interest due to a mixture of religions and the fact that it borders both serbia and croatia. @@IfWeGoTo
This just came up on my feed and I’m so happy I got this little reminder of how much I love that country!!! Such a special place. And that lunch had my mouth watering 😅 I hope your travels are going well 💕
You managed to impress me again!! I loved how you incorporated music in this video. Mostar is lovely and I hope you will visit again. You should have many more subscribers and views based on the content quality. I am looking forward to Croatia video.
Thank you so much!! We hope to visit again too, it’s a beautiful city and country. I hope you love the Croatia video too!! We both ended up getting sick while there so only had a couple of days!! We’ll see what comes out on video!! Lol Thank you so much for watching and your kind comment, we love making the videos so it really keeps us going! 🥰
They do Jump but first they have to collect like 200€, i am From Czech Republic but ethnically Bosnian I remember when I was a kid and the bridge was just rebuilt my mom took me there and gave them 50€ to Jump 😂 she wanted me to see it as her parents took her there when she was a kid 😊
Woah! So does it normally take long to raise that much?? That's awesome that you got to see someone jump, we met someone who jumped off of it today actually!
Lol, the guys that pretend to jump off the bridge are hilarious. I remember guys that did the same thing on a bridge in Porto, but those guys actually did jump from time to time.
And you thought guy had a death wish 😄 btw there was a few serious injuries jumping from the old bridge... I used to live in Mostar for 1 year and they are quite different from northern part of the country
Can You tell me how you got from Mostar to Dubrovnik? In the planning stages of planning a visit to Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, etc. We want to end the trip in Slovenia. Have you posted a video on that yet?
I think we go over it briefly in our first Dubrovnik video, which was posted right after this one! There’s a bus that runs straight there, it’s cheap but takes a few hours! I think you could also probably talk to the tour companies that run back and forth and get a one way, and private cars are an option too. It’s pretty easy to get there! In Croatia there are tons of buses between cities too, we’ve done the Croatia/Slovenia route and I think you’ll have no trouble! :)
During the war most of the historic town Mostar and the Old Bridge were destroyed. The Old Bridge was rebuilt in "2004" and many of the edifices in the Old Town were restored or rebuilt with the contribution of the international scientific committee established by UNESCO.
Haha they dont jump because they wait till they accumulate a certain amount of money before jumping lol… once they hit that amount (gotta be something like 30 euros), they do jump..
Ah thank you!! That’s what we thought but we didn’t see a tip box or anything and never saw them actually jump!! They would just stand there a while and eventually leave!! I guess that makes sense if no one’s tipping though. Lol
Going into a place that you're not supposed to as a guest of the country, pretty much saying Mostar is boring and can be done in a day, and some other various comments that made it sound like you did zero research before going there. It is a beautiful city that deserves more. The mosque provides head and body covers for women if you aren't dressed appropriately. It gives the best views of the bridge and Old Town and shouldn't be missed. I enjoyed the time I visited Mostar but definitely thought this video could have been more respectful.
@ashleyb6175 I understand not everyone agreeing with urbex, so I could see that. As far as really getting to know it, you’re right. We didn’t do enough research, we only had a single full day there and this video is only a few minutes long. We were there longer, but we were busy with other obligations. Didn’t know about the mosque providing coverings, it’s something I’d like to do if we made it back. Thanks for sharing. Otherwise, I’m not sure what comments you’re referring to, but it wasn’t our intention to be disrespectful. And we certainly did not say or imply it was boring. For a tourist floating through, you could do Mostar in a day because it is a small city with an even smaller old town. That wasn’t intended at all to be a jab at it… it’s just physically small and the big tourist spots are do-able even on a tight schedule. Thanks for the feedback though. We certainly don’t mean disrespect - sorry if it seemed that way.

Oh wow, we had not heard of Brcko, but the way you have described it makes it seem like a very interesting place! We would love to visit just to see it. We definitely plan on visiting Bosnia again and we have not been to Serbia yet!
Its a mixture of serbs, croats and bosnians in Brcko. So much culture. Serbia is also beautiful and Belgrade is a 2 and a half hour drive from Brcko. The bus tickets are 20 marks one way and travel 3 times a day back and forth. @@IfWeGoTo
if you want to see those guys jumping into the river Neretva, you have to pay for the jump.. It is tradition for almost 500 years to jump off the bridge and only bravest man do it...
Thank you!! And we think a population of ~100,000 is quite small! Plus the city center is very walkable and not big at all. Hahaha. But we've traveled to cities with tens of millions of people! So yes, we consider it very small! lol.
@@IfWeGoTo - Okay, if you compare it to any city in the US, yes its probably small, i agree. But comparing it to any city in Bosnia, its one of the bigger cities 😊 i currently live in Denmark since 1994, due to war. . But i still have a House just next to stari grad, 300 m from the bridge. . Strange feeling to feel like you are at home both in Denmark and in Bosnia. :/ war is never good for anyone. . There are no Winners. The bridge was actually shot Down by croat forces who were stationed just above our House on Hum, we could hear Them celebrating every time they fired.
For sure, we were definitely comparing it to some major cities!! Yes, war is absolutely devastating... I am glad that you were able to go to Denmark to be safe. I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to actually have lived through it.

Look closely to see if the trinkets were made in the China. Most of the world has been made into a tourist museum.
I’m sure some have been!
They are waiting for people to sponsor them to jump. Once they get about $25 they will jump.

disrespectful from the jump
