Last night I jammed at Antones It was the last jam at the 5th St. Location. (They're getting a bigger building) There were a lot of grets there known and unknown. In Austin, it's about the music. Those three guys are friends and have been around each other all their lives. That's pure friendship your seeing here. I love my town! I love Antones. Y'all come down and visit with us and bring a guitar. ;)-
I'm from Athens Ga and I'll trade the B-52"s for Redd any day!!! I love Jimmy and JR. too but is my 1st time hearing redd You guys have got it good BJS TOO!! Eddie RIP
Legends has taken the stage and giving out there awesome performance over the airwaves..not missing a beat and the best guitarist you will ever see on stage ..Jimmie Vaughan is getting the sound out to you and its phenomenal..The entertainment on this stage is beyond greatness..never forgotten
Man Redd is wailing on that thing!! I'd love to hear him do a true electric blues number on his own. Awesome guitar slinger! @clean3 is right on the money, these guys are up there having a blast! No competition, just pure fun!
i always look for the jam sessions on video, lots of the older greats did their best work, or pleasure, while sitting around jamming, junior is just too much for our times, seems he can play anything and with anyone, amazing talent , hard to find someone in the industry so well respected by so many different styles and cultures. thanks for posting this
Guy with the hat kinda sucks?! It never ceases to amaze me... the level of ignorance out there. Redd Voelkart is a great player. He's certainly taking liberties with this twelve bar jam... it's kinda cool. He's playing jazz changes over a a I - IV - V progression. Yes, it is pushing it when the bass player ain't on the same page... but it's a jam. All three of these guys are giants. Good Lord... people and their uninformed opinions. Why don''t you say you don't personally like his approach... not the dumb ass statement..."Guy in the hat sucks."
@@machtschnell7452 Well, in the last month I’ve seen BTO, 38 Special, Tab Benoit, and Jimmie Vaughan. So yea, I do. If I want to see someone go off the path, I’ll go see a Jazz Jam. People can have opinions, and I didn’t like the way this jam went. But because of that, you presume I’m ignorant, ill informed, or what? 🤷♂️

Love all three. I’ve seen the fabulous thunderbirds several times. I’ll say it. Jimmie Vaughan is stiff as hell. Always has been. He doesn’t play guitar any better than a million casual weekend players. Sorry! That’s a fact.
