"Hot Rod Lincoln" Cars go faster than a mind can think Follow to close you'll hit a brake light So always signal your blinkers do blink Night driving requires lights on bright And rethink having to much to Drink
Just wanted to say "Thank you" to you folks that are putting Junior Brown on YT for people to enjoy! He has always been one of the best guitar pickers in the business and it would be shame for the younger generations to miss out on his talent.
i read lots of comments on here about bill being mediocre or insinuating he isn't as good as who ever their favorite canned music pissant is at some time. i suggest you look at who this man is, co founder of the commander cody band, wrote hot rod lincoln, gets great reviews from music critics anytime their asked, and not from just one genre either. yeah he's a little older now, not much slower and certainly hasn't lost any of his talent. it's pretty annoying to see someone that has no idea what real music is knocking someone that is part of the history of music.

David Schomer GATTON WAS ONE OF THE VERY BEST STYLISH LIKE NO OTHER. JR BROWN WILL NEVER BE MATCHED HE IS THE MASTER OF PULLING OF TRICKS. DURING HIS PERFORMANCES. WOULD HAVE MADE A ICONIC STATEMENT TO SEE THE BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER. CHECK OUT SOME HELLACASTERS VIDEOS.
I would love to add Richard Thompson to that stage - consider his 1952 Vincent Black Lightning - i've seen him do this live several times it sounds just like this. I promise that at no time do his fingers leave his hands.
I always loved this song. The instrumentals from Jr are wild too.The police siren sound on the steel is wild too.I loved watching them playing those frets n strings, wow!
I dont play Vicki.I took quitar lessons in grammer school and private lessons during grammer school, then a friend tried to teach me,Brett at the Ramada Inn where we worked together in Cocoa fl. but I wasnt very good at it.I messed up by coming home making my own stuff but I should have kept learning the music instead of playing different chords trying to make a miracle and sound good.
Excellent! Wish I knew where my old buddy Steven Aaron Morgan of Hyde Park Cincinnati Ohio is these days! I know he'd really enjoy this ,even as much as I did, which I perceive as much even as the fellas doing the song did! Great job on a great fun song !!
Now that's a tele and a half!!!! I'm a blues player but have the pleasure of owning a pair of 1971 Fenders, a thinline tele and a deluxe reverb that are as country as can be!
Way back in the last century, during the hay day of progressive country, I caught a late late late late latenight radio interview with Commander Cody ...he told a tale of the time The Lost Planet Airmen played a dinky dinky club where the painted black ceiling ceiling above the stage had only about 6' of clearance ...he got to going and excitedly jumped up, knocking himself unconscious in the middle of the show ...good to see he still going
Remember hearing this song on the radio as a kid. Magic I tellz ya! The story( lyrics) were so vivd in my mind I could see myself driving a .... Hot .... Rod .. Lincoln.
roger huff Saw him years ago. A Journeyman Guitarist and entertainer if there ever was one! One the best shows I've ever seen. He turned on old Silver faced 'Twin' up to ten (it was humm'n) and played hard and fast for an hour or so with no breaks between songs. I'm sure the tubes were smokn' when he finally reluctantly left the stage. My son (who was about 15 at the time) was floored! The crowd in W. Sacramento didn't want to let him go! Thanks again Junior.
I saw Kirchen play this in a small bar in Berkeley CA. Yeah, a parade of styles would be a good way to describe it. He was playing his Tele through a small Fender amp and three stompboxes, what a sound.
Wow!!! Junior Brown And Bill Kirchen!!! It does not get any better than this.

I love it when Jr goes off the tune and brings in other riffs and songs. Pure genius
The greatest, he plays with more variety than anyone
I can't think of a better guy for Bill to team up with. These two are definitely from the same school of music.
Awesome! One of my favorite songs, and two legends on stage! So wish I could have been there!
Ultra cool!!! Two Masters at once!!! Yeah!
A lot of talent on that stage!!
You got that right!
These guys are the definition of cool.
The perfect duo for this rippin', rockin' song.
I'll never know this song the same way again 😃 love it.
I learned how to play Seeds and Stems watching Bill Kirchen at Mr. Floods Party in Ann Arbor.
Outstanding. Saw Commander many times I the late 60s and 70 s in and around Ann Arbor, Mi. Add Junior a treat👍👏🎸🎸

This is a rockabilly classic. Country and rockers still perform it. There is no "best" version, just one of the great road songs ever written
The Cowboy hat reminded me of the punk driving the Black Chev in American Graffiti.
Man, that is pure gold!!
a rare gem. thanks for this one.
Great pairing, love both these Gentleman on their own, together is better!!!
