I've got a racechip on my A-class, it added an extra 25% BHP, and took 1.1 seconds off the 0-60 time. My MPG has also gone from 40 to 44 on average, it just transforms it, and for £350 here in the UK it's a no brainer.
I've added a Racechip on my G30 520d and it transforms the car. Only last week I had to take it for a service and I usually remove it, and the car suddenly felt so sluggish. With the Racechip back on, the car feels more responsive and just makes it a different car. I also want to add I usually keep it in Eco mode and that adds more toruqe and only a little extra hp. Racechip won't give the figures, but I'm guessing about 200bhp up from 190bhp, but the torque difference is something else! I'd love an M240i next, and with a Racechip of course :)
Yeah I really like it too, except for the details you mention, to which I'll add that I really don't like all the buttons moved into the screen. Apart from that, the LCI is really nice, especially the rear which looks way more agressive than the pre-LCI, certainly with the M-sport package. Also cool that you now, except for some minor blue accents on the highest trim, get the same daytime running lights no matter which light unit you option. If I had known that beforehand I wouldn't have optioned the matrix LED's. I really didn't like the first two tiers of DRL's on the pre-LCI so I went for the matrix on the LCI to get the "full" DRL's, which turned out to not be necessary
I understand missing the gear lever but honestly, after owning a car with a gear lever beside the cupholders, i can see why they are starting to shrink them 😂
I would always go MHD + XHP on this cars if ECU can be unlocked. Only reason to go for a box is the hope of people not to void warranty on these brand new cars which maybe on a lease. And that’s a big gamble in case of major engine problems.
So what do I do? Still one year warranty left... go for tuningbox like this one for 1-2 years and then do full stage 2 tuning, or wait for another year of stock/warranty before I go to stage 2?
BMW techs can still tell the car was modified with a racechip or JB4. The parameters are logged by the DME and it would be pretty obvious to see the car was making way more power than stock. So you will likely void any powertrain warrant claims if you modify the boost pressure in any fashion.

which car and which chip?
@MotorHeartAT Aren't tunes more reliable as chips they just increase anything such as boost, sensors etc which leads to quicker failures

LCI is nice to look at. Just not a fan of the exhaust or the lack of gear lever.
Alpina B3 has it all

What is your experience with the engine parts durability in your M340i after using the Race Chip on a long run?
I dont have the m340i so i cant answer. I have the m3 competition and im texting on my pre owned iphone 16 pro max. Silly 6’7 me😢
That's a lot of extra hp for a race chip, impressive

Isn’t the ECU on the new BMW’s locked ? Does it have to be unlocked for the Racechip to work?
No unlock needed
Racechip cannot sell its product better than this. This video is a bit biased considering ACSchnitzer provides warranty.
What a beautiful car. The last BMW looking BMW. Unfortunately
In Canada we’re lucky to have 91 octane … 93 occasionally
Dumb comment as always. Its 2024 and people still dont know the difference between RON and AKI.
For when a review of the ferrari Roma??
Why 7 different settings? Because fuel consumption will be much higher in 7 than 1?
You should use dragy to show everyone that its quicker with racechip gts
We did in the previous video on this car

How much for that chip?
I think you will test type R fl5 after its extinction

Yeah but that would be another chip since it makes less hp stock
Yea the g force metre telling the truth that it is going faster

Nope
How many horse power ?

Since the ECU’s need unlocking on the 2021 models and up would you still have to unlock it or does the race chip not require unlocking the ECU?
racechip or jb4 doesn’t need ecu unlock, that’s why 2021+ doesn’t go mhd or bm3
