For a short time in 1998, in Connecticut, Doug Blair ( the lead guitarist ) was my guitar teacher at a place called Ricardo's. He left to rejoin Wasp, I still have a promotional photo he signed at my last lesson. He had a really cool guitar with extra buttons in it that were connected to a voice box, and it would say funny swear words. As a 13 year old I thought that was cool. He showed me the minor harmonic scale which was amazing to me. He was also talking about a guitar he designed that was half acoustic/half electric. I think it was going to be for Ovation, also in Connecticut. He was the man though, and it's cool to see he's still rocking.
ovd806 thanks. I posted it in two other wasp vids. I had no idea Doug was still on the road with them. I saw he actually rejoined wasp in 2001 so when he stopped teaching, it was to go work at Ovation. Then wasp hit the road again 2-3 years later.
Pretty good but I prefer Gilmour's solo over the original version of the Pink Floyd song these lads are covering: ruclips.net/video/4mQbe_DZKNs/видео.html
More than 35 years hearing Hard 'n Heavy and this solo blew me away. Sublime!
