I grew up with Doug, and we were close friends for many years. I am sure he built that guitar. He has always been a genius with Design. We used to swap equipment all the time. he loved to take things apart, and is a great photographer. I miss him. we had alot of fun when we were kids. Someday I hope to meet up again, but I am sure I will have to go to Europe to see him.
Well... he's here! Did you get a chance to catch up or have you guys reconnected? I used to play in a band with Nick Hipa from As I Lay Dying. We went to school together. Lost contact when college started. One day I opened up Guitar World and there he was with Steve Vai. Our heroes. He lived all the things we dreamed about. Would love to catch up to him one day. I still shred. Doug is a phenomenal player.
Interpretation? You do know he’s the guitarist in the current W.A.S.P. Lineup, right? I saw them three nights ago, 11,11,22… in Detroit with Armored Saint! Unbelievable show!!!
I used to go see Doug play at Bridges Cafe in East Windsor, CT in the Run21 days. He/they were an amazing band to watch. They gave us a huge show in tiny clubs for $5. Even though I've been playing bass for decades he is one of the reasons I started playing.
Holy shit 4 Deuce...I was at alot of those shows. I grew up right across the river in Windsor Locks. I became friends with Doug as we had mutual friends. He eventually started doing sound for The Savage Brothers Band, my good friends , also from W.L. Small world...
Mesmerising I met Mr Blair in London the couple of years ago and is very humble and actually took time out to talk to us drunken idiots just before the concert we've got to the front still pissed couple of hours later while he was playing he looked down and gave as a nod and a wink and a smile while still playing nice guy proper gentleman hope to see you soon when you come back to the UK
Lol...Like who? I've seen Quiet Riot with Carlos, Pantera with Dime, and Pink Floyd with Gilmore, all better than this replacment guy, standing in Chris Holmes' place and playing what Kulick wrote...
The CT. Legend, used to see Dug play with Jimmy Carter Show and Run 21, "back in the day". The "boogie board" routine was always a highlight! Amazing showmanship and stage presence.... plus chops! Great to see you playing Dug, Cheers!
..IVE GOT THE DOUG BUG...BEST VIRUS IVE EVER HAD😂🤘🙏...SOME OF HIS SOLOS REALLY TOUCH YOU IN YOUR HEART MAN....ESPECIALLY WHEN HE PLAYS..MISS YOU...THAT IS ONE AWESOME,BEAUTIFUL,CREATIVE HEART FELT SOLO....HE'S A GREAT ARTIST AND GREAT CREATOR OF NOTATION....THE GUYS A LEGEND....KUDOS AND A HUGE RESPECT TO GHAT MAN🙏....GOD BLESS YOU DOUG..🙏❤🙏...🤘🎸🤘
Doug u were my first guitar teacher in CT in the 90s. You could hear a tune and have it known in 5 minutes. Such talent. I still got your signed photo. Now seeing my kids take an interest is so special cause passing it down is what we do. Thanks for everything. Do u still have that guitar that lights up between the pickups? So badass.

Du kennst nina jiers sie ist meine Lenrerin und sie ist einer der tollsten Menschen die ich kennenlernen konnte 💖ich für dich das du noch mit ihr kontakt hast 😁
As much as I love Chris Holmes (top 5 for me) he couldn't nail this solo to save his or my life. At least I don't think so. I'm sure he could play it. But the feel is not in his wheel house. Be interesting to hear though
the crimson Idol is a Heavy Metal Masterpiece

I took lessons from him when I was like 12. He was and is the man!! Loved that guitar that lit up flashing colors.
Do you still play today?? Are you willing to tour when touring season opens up?

John skyes ile kafa kafaya yarışır. Looking for love 1 bu parça 2
Dope
Мастер!
Didnt Doug do the 'Crimson Idol' tour back in 1992? Bob Kulick played the album I think, but Doug did the tour?
That's right 🤗
Who was the guitarist in the video...Doug? Or Bob?
@@midgetjohnholmes that’s Doug in the Video
TAB TAB TAB i wish
Yeah wow - sounds great. That guitar is curious. No pickups on top half??? how does that work
Piezo pick up's in the saddles. Notice the two cables from the guitar.

Eu não sei você. Mas eu sou fã do Douglas.
Curious. I see no pickups for the top guitar.

Doug Fkn Blair
Something very Pink Floydy in that outro solo
Confortávelmente chapado '
As much as I love Chris Holmes (top 5 for me) he couldn't nail this solo to save his or my life. At least I don't think so. I'm sure he could play it. But the feel is not in his wheel house. Be interesting to hear though
Это соло создал Боб Кулик
Местами есть рассинхрон двух рук в игре.
куда уж там до мастеров
Круто🥲
Wasp é melhor que iron
THIS GUY SHOULD BE CALLED "THE ONE WHO DESTROYED WASP'S SOLOS" 😡

чего тут только не почитаешь)
О диванный профи, видос в студию где ты "правильно" играешь, иначе ты фуфел.
Отвратительно
Bad guitar Player.
Awful ! Another three cowboy chord garbage. Playing out of key and quite sloppy copy of Gilmore 'Conf Numb' solo is funny to watch
