I'm from hawaii, waiting for the day we see a bluefin trevalley swimbait, or like a christmas wrasse or something. So many colorful wrasse out there. Thanks for the vid, great work as always!
maybe a bait that looks like nemo or dory? lol
@@erikalwomack6684 a clown fish or a royal blue tang.
@@tylermallory2504 i knew nemo was a clownfish but i always thought dory was a purple tang so thanks for the correction!
@@erikalwomack6684 I grew up with a few saltwater fish tanks in my folks house as a kid. We had a couple nemo's and one dory lol.
@@tylermallory2504 tbh im jealous lol
if you never have, maybe you could make a flounder swim bait. it might be interesting to try and replicate how a flat fish swims…
Interesting...
That would be really cool as a soft plastic bait so that it is really floppy
Would be a neat soft plastic
Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ruclips.net/user/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
Marlin I work over nights and man can I say when I got off your calm soothing videos help me sleep thank you so much for your content my man
Love that musical montage you are starting to do with your videos. Man, you have leveled up your game. Now just start selling molds of this!
Amazing job - its certainly not as easy as you made it look to 1) carve a masterpiece, then 2) make perfect pours and 3) give it a fantastic paint job. Great stuff - keep 'em coming!
Great video as always! Oddest music I’ve yet to hear on the channel backgrounding a paint montage 😂 not complaining!
Dear Marling bait's thank you for all your videos that have inspired me to make my own lures. I have now made my own business called bucks bait's, I'm 10 years old and I've been watching your videos for 3 years.my dream is to be just like you and make my own lures and have a RUclips channel.
These videos are so addicting. Last year I made my first bait(a bulky ugly popper) but I had so much fun doing it, thanks for all these videos
E's Jammy jams, Baym rebin in palestina didn't see that one coming. Love the action on that beauty 😍
My brother makes swimbaits both wood and plastic Donuts and I can appreciate the amount of time it takes to make them swim properly as well as suspending or slow sinking etc.
someone got a new macro lens!
keep up the good work, nate. your videos are a winter oasis for us midwesterners.
You wake up a Sunday morning and you have a Marling Baits video... just like last week. I could get used to this... 😊
I watched you come a long way in bait-making skills, and now your baits have far surpassed anything I've ever bought at a Bass Pro Shops. You are quite literally the G.O.A.T of RUclips bait-making, now. Thanks for all the awesome content and keep up the amazing work my dude!!!
I tie my own flies and If I need some better thought into what I'm making I come watch your videos for better ideas and painting mashes. You inspired me. Thank you very much
I’m addicted to watching your build videos, amazing work! I hope your serious about the rough mold “kit” idea, if so I’m so in!!
Gonna need a montage of a bunch of "it's officials" to make up for all the cold delays lol. Beautiful bait as usual.
I bought on of your spinner baits about 5 years ago. Glad to see you're still at it!👍
Awesome job as usual. snazzy music. Thanks for sharing.
Your baits have gotten so beautiful. Everything, the designs, carvings, the excellent paint jobs, and gorgeous clearcoats. Your truly a master and have a great personality. Easily my favorite person to watch.
Great work. My wife dropped by to compliment your musical selection.
That is perfection right there, love the colors reminds me of a greyling without the glorious dorsal fin.
2022 is turning into the year of the action! AMAZING action, design, and color!
Out of all the amazing baits you’ve made, this may be my favorite. It looks like it will be a fish catching machine once the weather warms up. Stellar work!
I stumbled on to this channel for the wacky bait builds and become more captivated by builds like this. My favorite parts are when they’re brought to life with the intricate paint jobs.
This is awesome! I'm rarely awake at this hour on a Sunday. I get up early today and MB just posted a video. Life is good.
Amazingly beautiful dude. You're getting better and more confident each year; I can see it. Love this channel!
Hi Marling! Here's something I'd like to see you do! Try useing the stiffer side of a feather for the splines of fins? The natural arch of the feather lends itself to the shape of the back of a fish. The splines want to lay flat, close to the stem of the feather. Just flare them out and make them stand up. Lay it on tape flared out, and paint a thin layer of epoxy! Makes for great realistic looking fins!
I just wanted to say thanks for the years of sharing your great ideas! I'm a fan, truly!
From LOL Lures (that's "Labor of Love") Scot Love.
Might be cool to do a custom line through soft plastic swim bait. You’d be able to combine pretty much everything you do on this channel into one awesome bait.
Another awesome bait build and video, Marlin.
Just came back from a skunked trout trip, now for coffee and a new marling baits video to redeem this Sunday 🙌🏼
Watch these videos as soon as I know they exist. I’ve made 2 wood lures and 2 molds because of your channel. In love with bait making now. Working on a wooden bladebait right now.
Wonderful music selection during your montage segment. Delightfully quirky. Well done.
The montage music makes this video so entertaining! So much better than the usual music heard on videos.
Love it would love to chase some Murray Cod with that. You should make a swimbait that looks like a Murray Cod that would be cool. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for getting me started on bait making man
These videos are absolutely the best. I have attempted to make lures in the past but watching you make amazing pieces of art is truly amazing . Keep up the good work 🎣🦆
I’m liking the RuneScape vibe music toward the end. Barbaric
This channel is the best, makes me a better jig and bucktail maker
You are an amazing artist and the best looking baits out there
Just wanted to say thank you for the content, entertainment and laughs MB. I am always impressed and envious of your talent. Hope you and your family are doing great.
Beautiful, always love your work. Was watching a different video and I cut it off just to watch this
7:43 soooooo satisfying. Im also on edibles right now. Im back - this is performance art. Nice.
Always impressed with your craftsmanship and creativity. Super awesome lures, always.
Always enjoy the stories that go along with you making the baits, and even the fun facts. Nate keep making these baits. Can't wait to see you make these all official
Can’t wait till it warms up to see some good fish action. It would be so cool to see something come up and hit that thing.
so happy you molded it!
That shot of the tail piece at 11:17 was just stunning. Great video as always :)
Hey,Mr. M.B.,big fan,here,from Holland...That's NL,whatever...Genuis piece of fish,and also...genius piece of music,man! Do both more,TY...
I love the fact is that you make your own stuff, and it wants me to make my own lol.
The church of Marling Baits!
Thanks for another awesome Sunday video drop!
The action on that bait is perfect!
These baits are really nice, i can’t wait to see what you catch with them when the weather is better.
Wow very nice really really nice. One day I hope to see about getting some baits to give out in my youth fishing group. I've never gave a bait made like that always store baits we give. I've watched alot makers your still my fav. I've watched alot. I've been off RUclips few years I used to make videos show off things was sent to me. When I fished stuff at home. Now I don't make videos like y'all I just make video post no edit just what is. Wish I could start back up soon. After my heart attack the virus hit so I couldn't go anywhere I stopped. Wish I didn't I miss my RUclips friends. But ide love some cheaper lures my groups small and I'm not able to raise big funds. But still love some some and hope few signed so who wins will now it's yours not store made. Thanks for all your time sharing how you make awesome baits. God bless you.
Awesome bait! They keep getting better and better!
Beautiful bait from the Master Bait marker. Thank you Nate you made my bad day alittle better.
gorgeous swimbait
Nice hinge and I love the way you layer paint on your baits.
love the ryan bingham at the beginning!
Always a good morning when you drop a new video. That swimbait looks FANTASTIC 🤘🏻🎣
Binging your one days got me through 4 days of omicron isolation. Can't wait for warmer water, and more making it official.
Great video but man that clarinet track at 9:20, what a banger.
Greetings from Latvia! Love your work!! Best therapy while waiting for summer. :D
Just finished up a nice hard body spinnerbait man I want to start doing molds myself been watching and learning alot thank u for ur shared knowledge brother
Again an excellent video. Thank you . Fun fact: you should make a Beetlejuice sandworm. You could mold it and rock some giant soft plastics.
lol pretty freakin cool, like i dont fish really, but i love making things. this looks like it was so fun to create.
one day this summer i would love a video of you fishing with all these awesome baits you’ve made during winter
Make a sail shark lure. It’s a old bait that we use for catching white bass wipers stripers and also used for slow trolling when they school up. It’s compact size is perfect to fit in their smaller mouths. May have to look it up they’re not made anymore
If I saw this in BPS, I would be having a serious conversation about buying it.
This lure has all of the elements and colors I tend to prefer.
Another exceptional build.
I love your work!!! And you editing is hilarious! Well again thank you for your work! Much love from San Antonio Tx!
Sometime this summer i’d love to see a video of you just fishing with your lures you’ve made
Loved the montage music!! Great work, totally digging your content!!
I was just out there yesterday before the storm hit. Stay warm.
You're ahead of the pack Sir!!
Great video ++
Got to love this superb editingwork, where the plings aline perfectly - great work, love this kind of humor in your videos :D
Hey, love your videos, just bought my first house and have enjoyed setting up the garage/workshop. I wish I could get one of your baits to hang on the wall for decoration!
Another great video! You should try to make a swordtail tropical fish or something like that. There are so many color tropical fresh water fish that would be a cool build. Something even simple like a neon tetra, BUT BIGGER!!!!
Do a video testing out different weird walking baits, for example the sebilé slim stick had a weird shape, I wonder what other shapes would make good top water baits. Would be cool for a spring video!
Love waking up to a new video!
i love the lead pellet look on the bottom
Like that KLEZMER background music, very traditional. 😂👍🇨🇦
Good morning Nate, nice job!
A true master of the baits.
I live for the outtakes! Best one so far 😅😆😂
Awesome carving on that piece.
I have alot of respect for your work although I tend to do more 3D designs and getting the prototype printed for testing. This wood making skill is classic and 3D printed simply cannot be compared or replicated. Thanks for keeping traditions alive... great going :)
Ahh yes, the Bob Ross of bait making has blessed us with another video.
Dude I love your videos so much like it's hard to express. And I was probably on the path anyways but you've definitely legitimately inspired me to actually try and make lures and stuff myself they're coming out a little wonky but I'm learning lots from watching your videos, thanks.
Can’t wait to see it catch a fish! I’d totally sign up for sanding duty btw…
That is the cleanest looking gizzard shad bait I have ever seen
Another beautiful bait, as always.
Sunday funday just got better!
This is a beautiful beautiful swim bait I love it
Awesome looking bait Nate
With all of the swimbaits lately, I would love to see you make a backwards one - retrieves 'tail' first. The challenge of making the action work without having to compromise too much on the overall design could be fun.
Fantastic as always! Kind of interesting not having carving at the beginning of a video, but you did a fantastic job! Hope the weather warms up soon for you!
When the tail came out, I immediately thought of those Swedish fish candies. You should try making a lure like that
amazing work love your videos keep up the good work
Beautiful work and detail, keep up the good work!
The montage music was fabulous!
