The scales you put on this bait are hands down my favorite of all the ones you've done. Awesome bait dude, love how you're venturing into rattles and weight chambers, can't wait to see what's next
100%
Man I was about to say the same thing!! The depth in those scales is phenomenal!!
I loved you in Deadpool and Waiting
Happy Father’s Day, Nate!
Thanks!!
@@marlingbaits are you near an ocean by any chance? 🤔
Also God Bless You this Father's day 🙏
@@jacobwhittington2462 He’s in Iowa
@@bayouburner281 I was just wondering if he can test a homemade saltwater lure in..........well..............saltwater
@@marlingbaits your name is Nate? Wow didnt know
Hey Nate, heres a suggestion for making prying the two pieces of wood apart a lot easier. Put a single layer of blue painters tape on the sides of the wood, and then glue the painter tape to painter tape. it will still hold really well for working on it, and you only have to fight the sticking power of the tape when prying them apart. Hope it helps!
Beat me to it. 👊🏼
Was just gonna suggest this 😂
Came here to say this works wonders
Also can just use double sided carpet tape. Very common in woodworking.
Smart
Happy Father’s Day! Soon my daughter will be old enough to go on her first fishing trip with me. We’d love to see you and your son fishing together
Thank you for your content Nate! I wouldn’t be a full time baitmaker without your videos to get me started
Nice.
Your swim bait videos are my favorite. I grew up in Santa Rosa CA and fished 150-200 days out of the year. Double digit largemouths were common and they smashed big swim baits. Look up Paul Duclos 24.1 lb largemouth. Happy Father’s Day!
No Chip? We need more Chip-Chip in the videos. Great bait. I love that you are not too proud to learn from your own mistakes. You are a great teacher.
Happy father's day Nate! Take the family fishing today!
your lures are getting pretty intricate , i like that you keep challeging yourself with new designs and features ... kudos
Awesome build! Happy Father’s Day Marling.
When I make my baits. I have to sit outside. Lately the humidity has been SO HIGH here In Arkansas and all over. I haven’t made a bait since March. Today tho I may because this is inspiring to me and it’s actually not that hot today! Love your work Nate!
Best start of the day, seeing a marking baits video as soon as you wake up
I love your videos. Very talented. Nate proved the old saying, "its fishing, not catching!"
The scales you did on this bait were awesome! Love that technique. Can't wait for the next episode!
Happy Father’s Day! You have a beautiful family and that’s definitely something you should be proud of. Enjoy your special day and keep up the amazing videos.
I think I'm in love 😍 this has to be one of the MOST beautiful baits EVER made!!
To avoid the pieces sticking together too hard, stick a length of painter tape to each surface you want to glue. Then to the non-sticky side, put 2 or 3 drops of super glue along the length of the tape and stick the two pieces of tape together. It holds until you don't want it to anymore. Knife maker trick.
Happy Father's Day! What a sweet bait! Now it's time to make a floppy pink human swimbait in 2022! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
I so love a Marling video while having morning coffee
Happy father's day enjoy your day great video like always
A little tip -> use white glue to glue a sheet of newsprint between your two blocks. Separating becomes much easier...any residual paper left in the seam can be sanded off afterward. I enjoy your videos very much...thank you for making them.
Great job on making the scales more dimensional and realistic by just angling the spray! The Sleestak with that eye.
This is my favourite bait of yours, nice to see how you are changing and evolving across the years. Cheers,
those scales looked so real, nice job
Love those bird shots :). N the weight transfer is real cool
i do miss your fishtank weight/sink tests, always an exciting time, love the awesome pushing the edge bates, the eyes were mesmerizing
Best Father’s Day gift right here!
I always enjoy your Sunday uploads. Also a great way to wind down Father's Day. 👏👏👍👍
The long “s” on “super glue and baking soda” made me laugh WAY to hard hahahaha great video!
This is my second favorite part of a Sunday morning.
I need more of your videos to watch! Yes I’ve already watch just about ALL of them lol! I just can’t get enough of them!!!
Coolest bait you have ever made!!! Can you please make a Muskie/Pike bait in a future video?
Like a big glidebait with a huge, long curly tail! Super detailed paint job! That could be cool
I’m normally a Bowyer but, I moved to an apartment you gave me another addiction thanks man.
Happy Father's day nate, there's nothing better than a marling baits upload on your birthday. It's a better present than I could ever ask for!
You've been on a weight transfer kick and I'm all for it
Buddy, I really look forward to Sundays now. Thanks for everything.

That top clear coat made those scales beautiful your ability for detail is why you are my favorite bait maker keep up the great work
I found your RUclips channel recently and I gotta say your content is awesome!
Happy Father’s Day, Brother!
Just recently started making soft plastics thanks to your videos and its been a blast. Can't wait to snag whatever the new mold is from Epic Bait Molds. Hoping its the aggressively ribbed swimbait you made a while back. Was just talking to a buddy about how good I think a bait like that would do where I'm at.
Happy Father's Day, Nate! We've sent you some goodies from our new experiment. Be on the lookout for a teal bag from The Wapiti Project! We appreciate you!
"I know a lot of guys that would murder for this thing"😂😂 I love you man keep up the good work👍
I swear you and worlds worst are the best bait makers on yt hands down
Double sided carpet tape is your friend. Holds two pieces together well, yet comes apart easily enough. Very common in wood working.
I love the scales on this one! They look phenomenal, especially with the more subtle colors.
Your B roll game is getting better! Keep up the good work!
love your video's you got me back into fishing after 5 years of living and working in the city.
Thank you for making my sunday afternoons so much better by always uploading around this time!
Yea I'll say the scale job couldn't be more realistic! Bravo!!
I'm here as a newbie and I've been recently watching a lot of your old videos and going from a 4 year old video to this week I see so much improvement and skill in the most basics of what you do and can't wait to see the future of marling. Keep making your own universe of fish
I now wait patiently for the Marling Baits Sunday video drop. Great Stuff!
Your baits are so cool 👍😉 happy father's day to you🤘😁
This is THE bait I've been wanting to make. I love it
Hey, I know I’ve asked a million times, but please do a goldfish lure with big ol’ googly eyes. There are few things bass love more than goldfish, and it’s illegal to use real ones. It’s something I haven’t seen before, and I know that you would crush it.
My favorite part of every Sunday.
Those scales are some of the best scales you’ve done. They look realistic. Definitely a win
Happy father's Day. Thanks again for another excellent non Beetlejuice related lure video.
Your videos are so therapeutic
That is my favorite paint job you've ever done. And I've watched EVERY video haha. Well done and man you make me want to start making baits every time
Great video Nate and happy father's day!
That catfish was pretty cool lol, you make me laugh “what if he just hit it super hard”
Absolutely beautiful!
Happy father's day man, keep on doing what you do best
Happy fathers day Nate!
Probably my favorite paint job recently. The bigger scales looked great
Loved the sneak peek 🤣🤣

Gorgeous as always. Happy father's day Nate!
Love the new scale material, lure is impressive
This one was a banger..a beautiful piece
Happy Father's Day Nate! Let's keep killing it
That entrance to the river was very cool. 😎
This bait is absolutely gorgeous!!! Wow you just keep getting better and better! Thanks for the awesome content
Happy Father’s Day! Another great creation, keep it up!
Another great vid Nate, the detail you put into your lures and the ways in which you do it is fantastic, and as for old man hands more like old super glue hands hahaha!
Keep up the great work, Cheers.
Deal with the thickness sounds like an amazing parody to down with the sickness, hope you're having a happy fathers day
It look amazing , well done man !!!
Probably my favorite bait to date
I think this is my favorite lure, the size of the scales are perfect...if you ever were to sell or give out a pattern this is the one

Precision.. immaculate.. it kinda reminds me if mother chaser lure but better..

That's an amazing piece of art. You gave me a lot of ideas that I can use in my baitmaking. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work :-)
