The scales you put on this bait are hands down my favorite of all the ones you've done. Awesome bait dude, love how you're venturing into rattles and weight chambers, can't wait to see what's next
Hey Nate, heres a suggestion for making prying the two pieces of wood apart a lot easier. Put a single layer of blue painters tape on the sides of the wood, and then glue the painter tape to painter tape. it will still hold really well for working on it, and you only have to fight the sticking power of the tape when prying them apart. Hope it helps!
Happy Father’s Day! You have a beautiful family and that’s definitely something you should be proud of. Enjoy your special day and keep up the amazing videos.
I love your videos. Very talented. Nate proved the old saying, "its fishing, not catching!" The scales you did on this bait were awesome! Love that technique. Can't wait for the next episode!
Your swim bait videos are my favorite. I grew up in Santa Rosa CA and fished 150-200 days out of the year. Double digit largemouths were common and they smashed big swim baits. Look up Paul Duclos 24.1 lb largemouth. Happy Father’s Day!
When I make my baits. I have to sit outside. Lately the humidity has been SO HIGH here In Arkansas and all over. I haven’t made a bait since March. Today tho I may because this is inspiring to me and it’s actually not that hot today! Love your work Nate!
Just recently started making soft plastics thanks to your videos and its been a blast. Can't wait to snag whatever the new mold is from Epic Bait Molds. Hoping its the aggressively ribbed swimbait you made a while back. Was just talking to a buddy about how good I think a bait like that would do where I'm at.
A little tip -> use white glue to glue a sheet of newsprint between your two blocks. Separating becomes much easier...any residual paper left in the seam can be sanded off afterward. I enjoy your videos very much...thank you for making them.
Coolest bait you have ever made!!! Can you please make a Muskie/Pike bait in a future video? Like a big glidebait with a huge, long curly tail! Super detailed paint job! That could be cool
I'm here as a newbie and I've been recently watching a lot of your old videos and going from a 4 year old video to this week I see so much improvement and skill in the most basics of what you do and can't wait to see the future of marling. Keep making your own universe of fish
On the money with that bait how it didn't get hit and bit that just screams eat me out of all the baits you have made I really liked this one a lot. Thanks again Nate keep up your fine work. Kevin
To avoid the pieces sticking together too hard, stick a length of painter tape to each surface you want to glue. Then to the non-sticky side, put 2 or 3 drops of super glue along the length of the tape and stick the two pieces of tape together. It holds until you don't want it to anymore. Knife maker trick.
Gotta say... this has to be my favorite scale technique I've seen you use. I love to airbrush chicano style lowrider graphics and use scales A LOT! Hope you don't mind if I steal the idea and put it on a car someday! ;)
Another great vid Nate, the detail you put into your lures and the ways in which you do it is fantastic, and as for old man hands more like old super glue hands hahaha! Keep up the great work, Cheers.
Hey, I know I’ve asked a million times, but please do a goldfish lure with big ol’ googly eyes. There are few things bass love more than goldfish, and it’s illegal to use real ones. It’s something I haven’t seen before, and I know that you would crush it.
back when i was in grade nine you gave me an idea to make a fishing lure fsc in construction and i would like to say thank you for the idea keep up the good work
My favorite scales you've painted man. You need to do those scales with a bit of gold for a carp paint job! I've often wondered if that whole spray at an angle thing would work with a thinner mesh screen too for smaller scales
i think those are the nicest scales I've seen you put on a bait. really like the large scales. i think it would look really nice on a koi lure if you try that in the future.
I feel the pain of a lure being destroyed after so much work and rework lol thanks for all you do for the bait-making community!! Really enjoy your content👍👍
The scales you put on this bait are hands down my favorite of all the ones you've done. Awesome bait dude, love how you're venturing into rattles and weight chambers, can't wait to see what's next
100%
Man I was about to say the same thing!! The depth in those scales is phenomenal!!
I loved you in Deadpool and Waiting
Happy Father’s Day, Nate!
Thanks!!

Beat me to it. 👊🏼
Was just gonna suggest this 😂
Came here to say this works wonders
Also can just use double sided carpet tape. Very common in woodworking.
Smart
Happy Father’s Day! You have a beautiful family and that’s definitely something you should be proud of. Enjoy your special day and keep up the amazing videos.
Thank you for your content Nate! I wouldn’t be a full time baitmaker without your videos to get me started
Nice.

Happy Father's Day! What a sweet bait! Now it's time to make a floppy pink human swimbait in 2022! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
No Chip? We need more Chip-Chip in the videos. Great bait. I love that you are not too proud to learn from your own mistakes. You are a great teacher.
I think I'm in love 😍 this has to be one of the MOST beautiful baits EVER made!!
Best start of the day, seeing a marking baits video as soon as you wake up

I always enjoy your Sunday uploads. Also a great way to wind down Father's Day. 👏👏👍👍
That is my favorite paint job you've ever done. And I've watched EVERY video haha. Well done and man you make me want to start making baits every time
Great job on making the scales more dimensional and realistic by just angling the spray! The Sleestak with that eye.
This is THE bait I've been wanting to make. I love it
Happy Father's Day Nate! Let's keep killing it
My Sunday go to video! You never disappoint.

I'm digging the scales on this one 👌
Such amazing work. One of my favorite baits. It had everything. Was like a Swiss Army knife of baits.

Love the new scale material, lure is impressive
quite possibly your prettiest bait yet

This is my second favorite part of a Sunday morning.
I think this is my favorite lure, the size of the scales are perfect...if you ever were to sell or give out a pattern this is the one

Yea I'll say the scale job couldn't be more realistic! Bravo!!
Entirely silly, but I love that soft thump that wood makes when it's popped together. Only a little over a minute in, and so subtle but so satisfying.

I swear you and worlds worst are the best bait makers on yt hands down
Happy feathers day Nate! Keep up the great builds and possibly the one day van
You've been on a weight transfer kick and I'm all for it
