because of you I started making my own spinner baits and yesterday I caught my first fish on a home made bait. so very fulfilling
FEELS GREAT !! don't it !!
Always a gift when you upload. Love your talent and you’re inspiring me to start my own lure making business. Thanks for your content!
God the happiness that enters my body when I see a Marling upload!!
I've been binge watching your channel, now I just setup a shop in my basement, game on!!! I like your slow mo release
Dude that lure was drawing in the fish! Wow! Great job! Except for the bullfrog.
I know this videos been out a while but if you haven't made any improvements to the sander table, I used a thin piece of plywood with formica/laminate for a smooth surface. Or you could double side tape or spray adhesive some lexan down. Won't take away very much of the usable space, will still be super flat, and don't have to spend alot on aftermarket tables or alot of time modifying.
you could use resin to fill in the grooves on your sanding table, really enjoy the one days
I love your creativity, all your baits look incredible,,thank you so very much for sharing, your talent ,
15:20 i was like its only 9am you have all the time to catch a fish but then i noticed i was looking at my own damn clock😂😂
What a great bait! Nice to see Chip.
your walleye painting skills are on point
Great video of lure making ONE DAY!!!!!
Place a sheet of formica on the belt sander to get rid of the grioves. you could tape it on our glue it on with contact cement. Then the plastic lips wont hang up. Also a piece of1/8 plywood, door skin or a piece of polycarbonate bolted to the table to using flat head bolts. That way you can replace it
Thanx 4 another great 1 day! You know it's a great bait when the day ends with a bunch of damage 💔 to your new lure!...FishOn...jimi
So many good things throughout this video. Excellent work, sir.
Wow, you definitely got a nice day of fishing out of that bait man 👍
You should do an entire paint theam with the scale mesh on throughout the painting so it a natural wood scale 👍
That may be your best bait yet!
off topic, but what if you drilled a couple holes in the slots of your sander's platform, then fill them in with epoxy resin? The holes wouldnt go all the way through but would help give the epoxy something to bite into. Then you could take a palm sander and level that surface smooth. Although im sure youve already thought of a few ideas at this point. lol. Another great video!
Can you make an easy popper we can make at home. I really like your videos and you made me want to start lure making. I want to make a popper as my first lure and i woud like to see you make one so i can get inspiration. Your videos are awesome and your truely a unique man. Keep up the good work.
Support from romania
There's a lot of popper video's on yt. I say just go for it and make one.
Ok thx for the tip
Just got back from a good day of fishing, and Nate Marling is channeling Bubbles, while catching decent fish like crazy. Go figure a cat makes a cameo😂
On my old sander like yours I cut a piece out of an aluminum commercial baking sheet to make a zero clearance table cover.
Congrats on a great day fishing. I’m headed to a couple of ponds in the morning to try out some jigs I tied. Any chance you break out the fly vise and throw around some Bucktail or maribou?
Seems like you might benefit from doing this every day when they’re biting like this. Whew! What a lure and what a day!
Would love to see you make a goby sometime. Hands down one of the best smallmouth baits.
Got here early today great day for a ONE DAY!!!!!!!!
Love the video I'm getting here earlier every time
Great vid!
Awesome vid
Hey man, just pour resin into those grooves and sand the saw table smooth. Then your good 😊
Fintastic!
Great one day! 👌
Hands down the best channel on RUclips! Nothing lifts my spirits more than seeing you put out a new video. You don't miss either! Everything you do is a banger! You also bring much needed wholesomeness and light-heartedness to this dull grey world. I've been a fan for a while now and to see your older work when you barely spoke, to what you've become is the greatest character arc to witness. Thank you Nate, you're a legend!
Till the table with resin and and it smooth might help
Congratulations! You finally landed a Pike out of the ditch. 🎉
Baking soda - super glue the sanding table grooves
Its hard to not like anything with a hunchback but I think you can beat it if you make a floppy pink human swim bait in 2023! Let's make it O-FISH-AL!
have you ever seen or done a lip with a hole in it? tbh not sure what it would do different from a smaller lip but this bait has me curios for some reason
edit: Also WOW just finished this video! amazing bait, amazing fishing. so awesome! 10/10
Not sure if this has been suggested before or not, but I had an idea I thought would be worth a share.
You could do a mothers/fathers day bait build that is designed by the viewers/subscriber's kids. Meaning you have your viewers/subscribers kids design/color a bait that your viewers then vote for and the one that gets the most votes is the one that you then make for mothers/fathers day.
You could design a simple template that can be printed out and then the kids can color it in and then the parent can submit that for the chance to be built.
You could of course make ones that your kids design as well. :D
Just make a smooth cover for the saw base. Epoxy a peice of lexan or something onto the metal
Bondo body filler on the belt sander table should work to fill the groves
Could you clean your sander sander table, level it, and pour a hard resin on it to level it. Or just bolt a piece of hardwood to it?
Another awesome video man. Looks like you’re using the 13 fishing Concept reel. Is it the A2 or A3? How do you like it?
Lets gooo, new vid!
Smacked Em !! Nice work Nate 👏
Aftermarket smooth base? You have superglue and baking soda
Cool bait Nate. wwwwwhhhhun day😊
It's... a Wakey Walker!
or... the Wakey Walking Walleye?
@steev927 wakey walking walleye. Ong
You look exactly like my Middle School Outdoor Education teacher
2:49 I would just fashion a piece of formica countertop to cover the existing plate
Or anything dead flat
Can u make next realy small walk the dog lure ang go to the creek plz
Chip needs a lil pup to train up in the ways of strawberry stealing
I'll say it again, give me those top water hits any day of the week.
Could you use superglue and baking soda for the groves on your mini-sander "table"
Down n' dirty "easy solution"
Great idea!!
Kinda liked the weird fish hammer
SOLUTION FOR MINI BELT SANDER!!!!! Instead of buying an after market table for the small belt sander. Just “Super glue and baking soda” the table.
When ever I see a new video I’m like: 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
Sheet of aluminum on the belt sander table will be OK. It'll hide the grooves for yuh !
You could epoxy your sander table top?
Put a piece of lexan on your band saw table.
You should make a musk rat lure
Name your next dog dip 😂😂😂
Make a hard top water bull frog, and make it big
if you don't supergluebakingsoda those grooves to make your sanding table smooth, I don't know if I can continue watching..
just kidding, but you know what I'm sayin.
Just use a piece of ¹/8 inch plywood to put on your table saw table! Cheaper and replaceable!
Fill in the grooves with super glue and baking soda
ONE DAY
One day
fill the table grooves up with epoxy or weld them up and machine it flat
Just fill the grooves in the sander bed with resin
Just fill the groves with superglue n baking soda
What happened to your tank ?
It's Offishal..! On to the next One Day.....er.!!
F YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
“Find woood, pitch to woood, make official on wooood”
Living in West Virginia, bank fishing rivers is a bizarre concept to me.
Hello mister pike
bro fill the gaps in the table with SUPERTGLUEBAKINGSODA!
👍😎✌
Whatever happened to that song someone made for you
tell me how he makes better lures in one day than most lure company do
Just a thought for your sander table. Why not use a piece of plexiglass for a smooth surface for it? You could slot it for easy on off if you need to swap it or take it off. I'm curious how it would turn out
Agreed, that's what I would do (and may do for my own)... I'd probably just use some doublesided tape to hold it down. Even just a thin piece of plywood would work.
Thank you Nate! You enrich our lives with your creativity!
There is nothing like clicking on RUclips and seeing Marling has a video for us. Hope it makes y'alls day like mine. Much love from the TX coast ❤
This video was an epic success on all fronts. Just amazing stuff, well done and congrats! ❤️🔥🌶️👊
Love your videos i think making a soft plastic iguana would look great
As much as I love the good ol' super glue and baking soda, that wood plug worked out real nice! Hope you use it for other baits in the future.
Day 88 ladies and gentlemen! Day 88 of asking Marling Baits to make an Ultralight trout spinner 🎣🎣
Great lure! Loved the paint! Best of all, you caught some nice fish, but also a few different species. This was my favorite one day for sure! Thanks for video
On the sander table grooves, one word; Supergluenbakingsoda.
Beat me to it...
"Look at that hump back, gravel lizard." That's classic ! Beautiful work once again.
My sister saw the notification for the video and she was like, "Marling Baits posted a new video, building a humpback whale lure." 🤣🤣 Lol
Day 5 of asking for a lure made by a mold of a fish you catch
Great idea
Are you kidding. You want him to collect the bone and pour it with resin.
@@geelangadipr223lmao 😂
Adding on to it, maybe use a cast net to really give some variety in what you can catch. I feel like otherwise it’s going to end up being a largemouth or a bluegill
Do it do it do it
Ooohuhuhuhuhunnnn daaaayyyy!
Technically, Day 2 of asking for an Arapaima wooden swimbait.
About that bottom curve... one of those key design things of flying boats, like the Boeing 314 Clipper, (as an example of things that move trough water) is a step before the tail. I wonder if that would translate to baits?
When you lost that hook point, why didn't you just flip it over so the two remaining points hung down? I actually make baits like that sometimes.
Another awesome video!! I love how bright those eyes turned out!!!
Mate i enjoy ya show a lot I’m unable to work anymore so I have a crack I had a go ata flathead lure been done with plastic, I did head profile with it as a jig style would be filth to see ya try full body rep of a flathead it’s like your large mouth a well sort after
It’s always a good day when marling baits uploads love that you come up with new baits!
Hey marling I’m looking to get into bait making and was wondering what a good start for equipment would be
