So as an owner of a 2015 GT I can honestly tell you ... the Axle back and the X-pipe or H-pipe truly don't come to life until you add a Long Tube Header ... at which point you will go from the cool guy in the neighborhood to the guy/girl that the entire neighborhood absolutely hates because the sound is on another level and its absolutely amazing! I need to do a sound clip of my 2015
I've been there before. Had a 91 Scottsdale with a 350 TBI motor. Added some large diameter short headers and it was already tru dualed out the back with straight pipes and ha a mildly lopey cam. Either way I added mufflers as soon as I could it was ungodly loud without cats or mufflers!

Getting ready to put JBA Long Tube Headers with matching Off-road H pipe on it. I should be able to wake my neighborhood and the next one over! 😁🤙
I was once thinking the X- option, not any more. As an European, I do not consider European sound as exotic or something, the X makes the engine sound smaller ,and like it is having a hard time moving the car. Some 2 to 1 systems with pipes before it just of wrong lenght sound bad too, so sometimes instead of Y-connection, a muffler with two inlets/one bigger out sound better. So, even if the pipes connected to the X happen to be just right and may give marginally more power, the sound is not "V8 enough"; the sound is like a John Wayne-movie dubbed in Japanese, I have heard that, and...

H-Pipe Wins... I have a 2009 Charger Police Interceptor, Came Factory with X Pipe, i Put "12 Glasspacks and "3 Tips on it and it sounded Good but had a Annoying Drone around 2,000 RPM. I had it switched to H-Pipe and it sounds soo Much Deeper Tone and Eliminated almost all Drone while Cruising.
Have 04 terminator with bassani x pipe mid throttle between 2500 and 3500 is pure ecstasy ! But over 3500 on wot it sounds like shit to be honest might change out to and H pipe The x pipe at high revs inside the car sounds cheap to me

I couldn’t say, I haven’t rode enough in the xpipe car to be able to tell but I’d think the h pipe would be a little more on the drone side just because of the lower tone it has but with that being said it still isn’t bad at all
I make H-Pipes and def think they sound better. The sound is real nice! X-Pipes don't sound as meaty nor do they "outperform" H-Pipes like most people think. Unless your looking for 2 extra horsepower. XD
