Had an X-pipe on my 2015. Loved it. Have an H-pipe on my 2020. Love it. Different tones but they both have their own appeal. Can't go wrong either way.
I honestly prefer the h pipe gives the gen 3 a fantastic sound not to mention but the deceleration at high rpms just crackles like no tommorow i have a steeda h pipe with mbrp muffler delete and i love it!!! cant go wrong with a good ole straight pipe good vids btw!

Definetly made my mind up now. H Pipe I’m going for on my 22 GT. I always wanted to keep the stock quad exhaust as it looks perfect already. I had a 2011 GT and had flowmaster outlaws on it and it was way too aggressive for me. With a H Pipe I can have just a little more sound to an already pretty louder than normal exhaust and this does it perfectly without breaking the bank. Thanks guys!!
H-pipe for the win! That's what they sounded like when I grew up in the 1960s! My 2014 Shelby GT 500 has an H pipe. Would not change a thing about it. Badass old school rumble!
H pipe sounds better. However steeda did a great dyno comparison between h and x pipes and the x pipe will make more power. I def prefer the sound of the h pipe

I had an H pipe with a Borla. Sounded very deep and like an older school muscle car. My friend has the X pipe. Sounds loud and raspy. It yells! But I enjoy H pipe more. Deep rumble vs loud and, in my opinion, obnoxious. But everyone likes different things
@@BLP3Motors get on the highway about 70mph, drop it from 10th to 5th and just hammer the throttle. You have to be really quick on the upshift but you are going to floor it right at the peak of the power and it just feels incredible. (also if you don't upshift quite fast enough and bounce off the limiter, your car will have massive backfire and crackles which can be a nice effect once in awhile)

X pipe. I'm getting ready to do cat delete on my 19 gt tomorrow. And i have the xpipe with super 10 Flowmasters. I'm gonna set car alarms off like crazy. And my neighbors are probably gonna hate me. When I start it up at 15 to 5 in the morning everyday, but you know what oh well they will get over it.
Yea the H-pipe sounds so much better on the v8. But x pipe does have a high pitch sound which I need a little more on my Audi s6. Currently it has a H pipe but I want to bring out more of that Gallardo sound from the v10 since that’s where the motor derives from. It has the super car sound but want to amplify it some more.
To my surprise I liked the X pipe ..when I prefer the H. I think for some reason the s550 sounds better with X..and H for s197. But I would like to hear the H rev as high as the X
The Coyote gen3 has higher compression ratio and I believe the X pipe help flow better than H pipe but still I prefer the H Pipe sound a stronger low end torque.
I like the deeper tone of the H pipe but the x pipe sounds more racy at higher RPM! I wish I would have put an H pipe on my V6 instead of an X pipe. On a v6 the x pipe just adds to the high pitch side.
H pipe. But to make it even better program the computer and change the firing order back to the old 5.0 or 4.6. That would be a huge improvement in sound!
That's gonna take a lot more than a computer change, isn't it? Pretty sure you're going to require an aftermarket crank shaft to change the firing order, unless both are somehow compatible with the same crank design.

I have long tube headers on my 18 with Roush axle back and an X-pipe and it is insanely loud. I have a Borla resonator that is much more quite, just purchased a C&L H-pipe and plan to put it on today. I hope its the medium between the X-pipe and Borla resonator. Both cars sound amazing.
H-pipe all the way, iv had both on my car and dyno proven an h pipe gives you much more low end torque vs the xpipe which starts seeing gains in the higher rpm range also the h pipe has more of the true American muscle sound. But in the end its not which sounds better but what your trying to achieve with your car.
I went from an h pipe to an x pipe and feel like it got rid of the rasp and also lowered the overall volume and pressure on my 5.5l na v8 benz. Everywhere I read it says it should be just the opposite. I'm trying to figure out why this is the case in my situation.

Just got my 2020 GT 10spd auto w/active exhaust and was deciding which to install x or h. After this video I'll have to go with the h pipe, it had a more aggressive sound which I want and the odd pop in the exhaust is decent.

@@BLP3Motors yeah been there when I was younger I had a foxbody coupe that was an 87 speed density that I made mass air, it was totally rebuilt with cobra p&pd intakes, p&pd heads shaved 10k, punched to 347, Bcam damn i miss that sounds lol, full length headers, off road hpipe, 2 chamber Flowmaster, 3:73s etc etc for about 350km/tank if only cruising on highway way less if in town ripping around lol wife and i decided to have a child so it was sold with only 10k on new motor and like 2y later the coupe prices sky rocketed I wish I still had it then lol. Oh well she said I sold my old one to get married have a son so she owed me one, my 3.8 Genesis Coupe was FBO I was going to install turbo kit this winter but it was crushed by a huge rotted tree in from my place month ago so needed new car figured perfect time to get the stang. Lol Had 1700km on it and I took it to the track before 1st payment came out lmafo love it though 12.3 stock on street tires, i was hooked after that run. Lol
S550s need a H pipe as imp they are very raspy vehicles. After watching video I'm left with two opinions. Regular parked reving the Hpipe sounded better but when actually gunning it while driving i found the X to sound better.

could I counter-flow an H-Pipe (if the H section is around 1-foot long), its a sideways mounted 3L v6 Duratec mid-engine, hence it's quite challenging to get an X-pipe in (which requires gas flow in the same direction from both pipes). I have watched some flow simulations on H-Pipes and they look like a counter follow system might work OK due to the right angle nature of the pipework.
You should not even be asking this question. Unless you're too young to know. There's only one setup goes on a 5.0. This precedent was set back in the 80s. Is supposed to have H pipes and Flowmaster 40. To give it that loud high-pitch growl. Go back and listen to an 89 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT with h-pipe and Flowmasters. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

Y'all need to try out the Borla Switchfire mid-pipe. Sounds more like a cross between x-only and logtubes.
RTR magnaflows with an x pipe has worked out great on my 2016 5.0.
H pipe really is the best for the coyote, its way too raspy, if it was a 2v or 3v id say xpipe, but the rasp just doesn't sound like a mustang.

no your wrong, its just the 6 speed manual can hit the ride line but the Auto with the H pipe its automatic so you cant get passed 3.5k RPM

How does an H pipe affect resell? How hard is it to revert back to stock?

H pipe reminiscent of the classic V8 deep tones, more syncopated and rumble. Less raspy.
