This channel is so dope.
Thanks Fam..I appreciate it!
Large Pro brought the dream team out for that first Nas Album . Once Steve Stout got on board and brought in the Trackmasters they lost the 11 herbs & spices .
Lmao!!
@@DyReckProductions Fam tell me im lying ever album 💿 after snoozed 🛌 harder then Rip Van Winkle
You tripping. It was Written is classic too
@@AJWise But not at the same level as Illmatic two totally different sounds and vibes but none the less still a solid second album .
It was written my favorite Nas album. Glad Nas linked with track master and didn’t go make illmatic 2. It was written took Nas career to a whole new level.
One of the greatest albums in all of music history
Yup!
@@DyReckProductionsMy nigga whats good how you been
The Native Shades Album Reviews???!!!
LET'S GO!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes Sir!!!!
Man in '93 I had Onyx Bacdafucup and the Judgement Night soundtrack blasting my cheap bedroom speakers. It took me a year or so to get into the proper lyrical shit. Nas blew my mind!
Word!!
Judgement Night! Rule Number 1...
I'm from Florida. I didn't hear illmatic until 94. I was bumping Doggystyle, Bizzare ride II the Pharcyde and Protect ya neck. Ah good times. I did love it though
What you trying to say that you think you was late on the album or something? Because Nobody heard illmatic until 94. That's when it came out. In April 1994 it hit the shelves.
"what the drilly with that tho, that is banging!" bro you hilarious 😆 dope video! man I bumped 'halftime' & 'Represent' so much when I first heard this album. Im a lil yonger so I picked up the 10th anniversary version with "Star wars" & "On the real" on it when it came out lol
Nice!!!!!!!!
Love it
Thanks fam!
Best Hip Hop Album Ever!!! My Fav Album in Any Genre!!!!🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
No Doubt!
I remember having the promo tape back when this came out!

@@DyReckProductions yeah I was living in L.A california at the time.I had a friend who was a hair stylest in the music industry she used to give me all the promo cd & tapes she used to get I remember having a wu tang clan promo tape and I also had BIG ready to die on promo...

No doubt!
yea dope video just like always thank you , center of attention is very underrated btw no one talks about it@@DyReckProductions
I remember I found a nas cd on the side of the road 2003ish i was 13. Blew my mind, still have that copy of God's son to this day.
Dope video, But how you didn’t mention Pete Rock and Q tip for the production.
Yeah I mentioned a lil of there classic contribution..Pete Rocks World is Yours is what they promoted the most at that time.
Nas flows like Pharoah on the Hudson!
Lol!! Yup.
Ayo DyReck, sorry to ask you but are you by any chance related to Danny Brown? The voice resemblence is just beyond belief.
Yup we did look like packs of starburst candy
The more colours the better 😂
LMAO!!
Back to the grill again kills me
Lol.
I was an intern @ Firehouse Recording Studio in 93. On my first day of getting donuts, I was privileged to Enter the 36 Chambers of the 👐🏾
Thats Dope!!
Although Illmatic is now considered as a undisputed hip hop classic, the album was pretty overlooked initially, by many hip hop heads back then. I do remember that music critics and hardcore hip hop heads loved it, but I do remember that it was kind of overlooked at first. I got my "One Love" 12-inch singles from Tower Records Outlet, and it was 99 cents each!
LOOKING LIKE STARBURST HAHAHA
It’s krazy but I like the later Nas albums waaaaaay better than illmatic
I'm not surprised it didn't sell well. Nas's rhyme skill sold well... But, most of the tracks... I only listen to it every now and then to see what I missed after videos like this telling me how great it was. I never bought another Nas joint after that one.
Nas? All he needs is “1 Olu Dara”
“And his team- to groom me up and design my rhymes - 1 famous Daddy
To put me on - and I’ll sing the songs
🎤 😂
Lol!
@@DyReckProductions no disrespect to your channel… But if you would’ve gave Nasir a different life circumstance… Let’s say if he was born in Gary Indiana? Just a Jones kid down the block from where the Jacksons grew up? That motherfucker wud be working for the steel-mill! His whole life was built for him. If that was the route, he chose? As it was… But he was astronomically creative by design… Let’s not get it twisted.
I love NAS Music , Not lil Nas x at all..
