Speaking of glitches, don't you think that it's about time they fix the drive rush freeze? I struggle so much to check my opponents because of this that sometimes I just give up and eat the mix-up.
Honestly DSP is right about this game eating your inputs so koves of yours don’t come out. I’ve been having that same issue myself where my moves I want never comes out
This is the buff that perfect parrying needed, you curse your opponent into dropping inputs and gaslight them into thinking they suck extra hard by hitting them with drive-impact after their character wakes up.
1:48 that means you can do a combo into another combo with a super but that combo is not landing any combo but when he knocked down, it's still a combo.
1 frames are cool when you have a spectrum of options ranging from meh to great, here your options are getting stunned or reversaling with super, there is no spectrum
completely agreed and I'm one of the boomers who is extremely happy that fighters all have buffers now. near-mandatory 1 frames were always obtuse and unfun and added no real depth.
i dont remember anyone reminiscing about no wakeup buffers and 1 frame reversal windows. Its a different scenario than a specialist combo having a 1 frame link
There are no true 1frame links in this game, if you press a button a few frames early on a one frame link it'll still accept it just fine. Also punishing a -4 button on block used to be a one frame window to punish as well but the window for that is way bigger (you can do it earlier by a bunch of frames and it'll connect just fine) special cancel windows in SF have always been very generous
@@mrblooper1994 I see. Might be an exception - I feel that Ken’s juggle light Jinrai follow-up, and follow-up after - is 1-2 frames. Heavy Jinrai loop is 2-3 frames. That’s how it feels. I’m playing on a 120hz monitor, so everything looks quite choppy. Any fixes for console?

@ No, regardless of 60 or 120, or input delay on or off, at least one of the Jinrai loop variations are 1-frame. Not links, but juggles. Try the target combo launcher into Jinrai loop, it feels like 1 frame. Plus you can’t plink a short with a regular stick.
@@workoutfanatic7873 there are 1 frame inputs in the game but they're not normal links, microwalk combos and some charge release combos only work when you do some sort of frame perfect input. most of the time people grab after perfect parry so it might not be that bad in this tournament but yeah they need to fix it unless an even bigger punishment for getting perfect parried
Wow, this sounds like a reaaaally beautiful storm forming. If they don't fix it ASAP, Capcom will be joining Bamco as "most humiliating tourney mess culprit" of the year.
Considering how hard PP nerfs your damage afterward, maybe that *should* be the reward instead. Nothing guaranteed except the opportunity it creates for you. Hell, if we're not gonna let this slide, maybe just 'convert' the nerfed HP damage into Drive Gauge damage (as if they blocked your combo instead). Gotta get _some_ better reward than a half-damage combo and half a section of Drive.
itd go kinda hard if you could turn the buffer off for local games or training, would make for some ""fun"" combo challenges (for certain crazy people (aka me))
I suck at this game but I'm like 95% sure that if I had a Guitar Hero style visualization for 1-frame inputs and tight links I could hit them every time.
the RE engine just couldn't handle the prospect of another few months of an un-nerfed rashid lvl 2ing all over it seriously tho this genuinely needs to be patched tomorrow at the absolute latest, we're in the middle of a competitive season right now and EVERY PP (safejumps aside) can enable at the very least midscreen throwloops for characters that have one AT THE ABSOLUTE LEAST, and having to deal with a throwloop with more inconsistent wake-up options sounds horrible
Well, apparently, I wasn’t holding the button long enough for a wake up super. I had no idea I had to hold it longer. I was wondering if I was the only idiot getting wake up super wrong. lol 😂 That buffer window is huge if you hold the button. I guess that means I’m definitely still a noob at this.

This was how it was in Alpha, even more strict than SF2 since A2 didn't allow pianoing either, unlike ST. You had to get frame 1.
