  • The reasons why your getting gcb ambiant temp diff. When you have dual condensers if the ambient sensor is reading more the 10 degrees difference between the other unit you get this alarm and most likely you have a bad sensor in one of the units or a bad mc condenser fan board. Buy both sensors and a board save yourself a trip.

Thanks for the content on these things, it’s pretty difficult to find any troubleshooting help on them. Was wondering if you ever experienced a “bad battery” error with the EEV board? I have one currently where the suction line thermistor is showing around 8degrees when i measure it’s actually 47 and the circuit won’t calculate any superheat. I replaced the thermistor which didn’t solve the issue, then the EEV board and the super cap board. Turned the unit on and still have the issue with the thermistor showing 8degrees and the EEV page is showing ”battery bad”. Do you know if there is some sort of setting I need to reset to clear this after replacing the boards?

@@pipedown7969 set the eev to manual at 38% and see what the pressure looks like

@ I’ve got a tandem compressor circuit, should I just run it with one on and see what I get? It’s just weird that it’s showing a reading of 8degrees but when I take a measurement directly at the thermistor with a thermometer it’s showing 47

If you run at that eev position you will see the real pressure. A lot of times the unit is undercharged or the gas is contaminated
