  • A mistrial was declared in the murder trial of Karen Read. The jury returned to the Massachusetts courtroom still deadlocked. Earlier in the day, the judge read a note from the jury indicating they were hopelessly hung. However, the judge ordered the jury to resume their deliberations. It was seen as the final push to get them to reach a verdict before declaring the case a mistrial. Inside Edition's Alison Hall has more.

    The jury is divided, just like the public. No surprise there. This doesn't mean she is innocent though. A mistrial is no reason to celebrate.

      @Toccata. Right! I think the jury made the right decision. Even if she's actually guilty, I don't think there's enough proof beyond a reasonable doubt. It's a confusing case with a lot of shady characters.

    This is nuts. I would have preferred a Verdict one way or the other. A mistrial is just going to be even more painful for the Mother of John. I don't get it. Did the Prosecution team do bad or was the Jury filled with questionable Jurors? And whether you think Karen is Guilty or Innocent. How can she get a fair trial after all the publicity this one got? How would they find a Jury that doesn't know about this case? I'm sorry this Jury did not do their jobs. She either is Innocent or Guilty. A mistrial just shows you that the Jury or Prosecution team did a terrible job.

      There would be no way to have another fair trial. Everyone is that area and all around would know. All the evidence will or lack of will be out there. They know each other's cases now. If one select group of ppl can't come to a decision why keep going to do it again. Obviously there wasn't huge evidence either way. But the next trial might get someone who just doesn't wanna argue and maybe give in .which won't be fair . No way should this be tried again

    • @KC-ed1dj
      @KC-ed1dj 2 дня назад

      Not true. The mistrial shows that the jury indeed did their job and that the prosecution did not prove their case. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. They have to prove their version of events within a shadow of a doubt. The jury apparently still had doubts. Would you rather a jury convict an innocent person or release a guilty person just to avoid a mistrial? Your comment made absolutely no sense.

    2:18 What disgustit me the most is none of these people give a damn about rhe victim or his family. Karen has also made it very clear she doesn't give a damn about him either. And she she claimed to " love him. " Even if Karen didn't do this the victim is the one that matters here. Rhis isn't about her. This is about justice for the victim and his family.

      @@josephwilson8391 Dalia Dippolito didn't win either. She got sixteen years to serve. Can't believe the judge in her case gave her four years credit, for time served, while awaiting and attending the trial. I'd have given her the full twenty years. When she was interviewed a few times, during the case, she suddenly developed a lisp when she spoke on camera, to make her appear the innocent little girl, being bullied and set up by the system.

    I don't know anything about these case, but I have a questions, was it a DNA done to see if her DNA was found on him since she is being accused of beating him to death ? Was his DNA found on the car ,that could prove she ran over him.

    Karen Read has post Me Too movement privileges, where their bound 2 get away with more things than a man would. Reverse the roles a man is on trial 4 running over his gf, and claims being framed would he get any support from the public. Just look at Lori Daybell she got life while Chad got death, or Eleanor Williams gets a very light sentence 4 what she did, wen the guy she accused was gonna get over a 20 yr sentence, and people r feeling bad 4 her. Just 2 name a few
