Well just saw on another video that new signs have gone up which now includes Do Not Touch The Reins 👏🏼👏🏼 so hopefully it will also deter tourist from touching the horses altogether.
They just went up today..
an hour of standing in the sentry box must seem like an eternity for theses guards and horses
I do think they need a shout once in a while cuz people aren’t getting the message 😡
There are finally new signs now that say don´t touch the reins. FINALLY!
Just went back up today, hopefully it will stop most, but as london city walks pointed out, a lot of tourists are elderly and may not be able to read english.. but at least it covers the guards to shout..
hope the new signs work…being a rider I know the importance of having reins & not multiple hands on them 😬

Most of the people don’t read the sign anyway. The still hug the horses and lean on them. Even when the sign just said the horses could kick or bite. Still put their hands on the horse’s mouth.
Perhaps a visual sign would have been better. A picture of a hand, reins and a big red cross.
The trouble is most foreign tourists may not know the word ‘reins’ . I think a loud ‘GET OFF’ would do

What a wonderful temperament this horse has, especially towards the young.

How about:- "PLEASE DON'T TOUCH THE HORSES AND ITS REINS" THANK YOU.
and
"BEWARE: HORSES BITE AND KICK" not....'MAY bite or kick

There has never been a sign saying about touching the horse.. there was a warning sign saying horses may bite/ kick. They have just been repainted and now has added.. dont touch the reins..
I think that woman was deaf as she didn’t react at all to the guard.
Maybe there was a language barrier?
Dogs and cats are more aggressive . Horse are the most soft and friendly animals ! # I’m an animal lover !
